PROLOGUE

One starry night, all the young men and young women are gathered in one place to celebrate their completion.

However, in the middle of their celebration, someone caused a ruckus, making everyone stop for a moment. Later on, two young ones involved in it went out and had a little talk, when the lady have been meaning to confess something to the man; and that lady who confessed? Was me.

"I love you."

"..."

"Vince, I love you."

"..."

I bit my lower lips as he just silently stared down at me. This is so... Uncomfortable.

"I said, I - "

" - Sorry, but I like someone else."

"Oh... Uhm. I, I see... I'm sorry for liking you — for this. "

When I apologized, I saw his eyes frowned as if he said something he disliked. Or maybe... He was, and was frowning at me? 'Oh. Well, of course. What was I thinking?' I thought.

"Leave."

"Huh? But, wait – "

" – I said go and leave me already, Lilita. You've wasted most of my time, if this is just... Nevermind. I'll leave first."

I sighed and nodded in silence, and turned my head away as I saw him walked back to the party. He's really going back after all of the things that happened in there.

"I'm really sorry... I shouldn't have. Ugh, what's the point?"

I knew I had little chance for him, but I never knew about this someone he like. Who could she be? Why her?

I walked away, but stopped for a moment. So that I could tell him once more that I love him. That "I love you."

After that, I continued on walking... Away from him. Away from this awful embarrassment.

It's been almost half an hour when I left the school's premises — when I left the party with all of my stuff and friends still in there.

"You're so stupid, Lilita." I mumbled to myself. I sobbed all the way, and kept on whispering to myself that I shouldn't have anticipated much more for this day. I mean, really? I wouldn't be in there if it wasn't because of him.

'Pathetic party. Pathetic idea. Pathetic love; Pathetic me!' I screamed internally as I thought of myself so pathetic. Yes, I repeat, "I'm pathetic."

I already am having a bad day as I passed each block at night, then here goes our weather, matching up my mood.

THUNDER!

I flinched as I heard a thunder, and covered my eyes when I got blinded by its huge flashed. And as I opened them, I saw him holding me with his two hands, pushing me away, as if to save me from something.

It all happened so quickly that I didn't even get to process why was he there? Of why he was hugging me tightly? Of what was happening? Until I... Loose my consciousness.

"Your Highness, your bath is ready."

Ugh. I winced as my head ached.

"Your Highness, you have to prepare yourself. You have a tea party scheduled today with some nobles."

Who's that? Am I hearing voices after what happened earlier, or was that just a total nightmare? If it was, then did I slept while leaving my television open? Damn... I shouldn't have stayed up watching Korean dramas. My bills are going to make me cry. Gosh.

"Vivisteria, don't be such a sleepyhead!"

"Don't you dare call Her Highness that, Young Sir Luchas!"

"My apologies, Lady Anne Mae."

Ugh. So noisy... I guess I didn't turned down the volume when I was watching. I covered my eyes with my two hands and wiped my own face like I'm washing my face on my bed. I sat down and stretched both of my hands up high as I yawned, loud enough to release all my sleepiness. Ugh. I feel so tired.

"Glad your awake, Your Highness."

I opened my eyes, facing towards where the voices are from as I scratch my left shoulder, and saw a weird looking lady and a cute little boy in costume, staring deeply into my soul.

"Good morning, My Princess."

Before I could start processing what's happening, I cussed to the young little kid who just greeted because of shock.

"Who the fuck??"
