"Nick!!!!!!" Elena ran towards him

He turned his head as he heard her voice, her cloth was covered with blood as she ran into his arms, he supported her falling body.

"Are you alright?, am sorry for leaving you alone. Am sorry Elena" guilt was all over his face as he spoke, slowly caressing her face.

She looked weak and exhausted, he carried her in his arms and started walking towards the exit as fast as he could.

"The party is not over yet, why are you leaving so soon?" Micheal spoke from behind him and a pointed a gun at him

Nick stopped in his track but didn't turn around. He slowly and gently dropped Elena, leaning her back againt the door. He turned around and faced him, Michael had a vicious smirk on his face.

"I always told you, you will never win. Now i will kill you, wipe her memory and she will be mine forever. It will be like this never happened" Micheal smiled as he pulled the trigger.

"Bang!" Elena regained consciousness before Michael could shoot and instinctively rushed and hugged Nick while turning him around, protecting him from bullet.

Everything in the world stopped moving as Nick held Elena's almost lifeless body slowly falling down. He knelt down with her head on his knees as tears filled his eyes, he couldn't a say word, he just stared at her.

She smiled and weakly raised her hand and touched his face "You can't always be the hero" she smiled "I love you and only......you" as her eyes closed slowly and her hand fell from his face.

Nick hugged her lifeless body as his tears flowed slowly. Loud footsteps came from the door and police barged into the room but Micheal was already gone.

A woman in a white lab coat knelt down and touched Elena's neck "She has a pulse but its getting weak, we need to get her to the hospital" hearing this, Nick felt all his strength came back, he carried Elena in his arm and rushed out while the doctor followed him. The ambulance was already there, he put Elena on the bed and sat beside her.

He held her hand tightly "Please don't leave me again Elena" he kissed her hand and held it tighter
