CHAPTER 14: ABOUT LOVELY (1)
Sophie sat down to her chair in her office. She was a little bit tired from their morning sex with her boy best friend Henley. She did not know exactly their relationship now.
But she was thinking it is friends with benefits kind of stuff. She rather confused lately since she broke up with Ronald. Her feeling with Henley was getting deeper and deeper each day. Not to mention they were doing sex almost every now and then.
'What if she really falls too deeply in love with him? Then what if Henley did not feel the same as hers?'
Her mind was twirling around the clock. It can never deny the fact that they enjoy each other's company than before. Another level of their friendship, yes, it involves sex.
She did not even mention it to her friends Rhianna and Henna. She was afraid that to tell them the score between Henley. On the other hand, she still needs to share her secret to them.
Sophie stopped thinking for a while when it is time for her to roving her patients. She went outside her clinic and goes to every room in the hospital were newly mothers stayed.
It was good thing about her profession is that she loves seeing newborn babies. Of course, it is wonderful to hear also after successfully live with their cries is more revealing feelings to all OB doctors like her.
Every patient's room she went. She could see the happy faces in their eyes. Who would not be if not those beautiful angels in their hands? A cute little angel given to them and her heart was overwhelming if all she delivers were alive.
Visiting her last patient Lovely, who was a single mother but her face shows that how she loves her child. She was 19 years old still studying but stopped due to her pregnancy. Her boyfriend or ex- boyfriend the father of her baby did not seem to care after knowing her situation. He left her for another girl but because of her fighting spirit. She never thinks about aborting the baby. She never about the consequences she will encounter.
She said that it was gift from up above and it should be live. The child is innocent from her so-called lust. She does not care anymore with the father of her child. As long as she can provide her baby's needs.
Sophie knew Lovely aside being an orphan who came from the orphanage. She did not expect that she falls from a wrong person then got pregnant. Lovely knew how to handle difficulties in her life but she never gave up hope. That is why; she loves that girl so much despite her situation. She is still working hard for living.
As a doctor, she always has a soft heart especially like Lovely. She felt some good connection with this girl. With that she did not know from the first time she met her in the orphanage when Sophie was one of the volunteers for medical mission. She met her again when she went for a check-up.
They talked a lot and that was she knew why she came from here in Milk Way County. She studied in the University as one of the scholarships provide by the school. But did not expect that she fell in love instantly.
Sophie shoulders the expenses of her in the hospital as one of the privileges given to each resident doctor. She is like a little sister to her. She even gives her a permanent job in Coffee Angel in Milk Way Branch. Just like her best friend Rhianna. She owns and had a franchise business aside from being a doctor.
She needs to plan also for her future although she is destined to be retired a doctor someday. However, there is always other things aside from that.
Now that her life is stable. She can even afford her own apartment but she used to be with Henley. Her boy best friend asked her to stay as long as she wants unless she get married.
Well, she was happy because they are still together even, thou they have a stable job in the hospital. She still gets some company every time she went home. It is a great thing Henley was always there for her as a friend or more on friends with benefits now.
All the things happened to her in those days with Ronald. She got a special person who always there for her at home or at work. That is what friends are for life.
Seeing Lovely with her baby in her arms Sophie was having some thoughts what if she becomes a mother one day.
'Can her baby look like her or Henley?'
Wooh! What was that? What was she thinking all of the sudden? What having baby with Henley? She quickly shook her head for thinking about that. She was bewitched in the middle of nowhere.
Lovely stared at her in confusion. "What are you thinking sis?" She called her sister that was Sophie like her to call. "You seem too disconnected in this world." She smiled.
"What? What are you talking about?" Sophie denied while holding her baby's little hand. "I was just thinking about you."
Lovely raised her eyebrows looking at her. "What about me?"
She sighed in deep before she replied to Lovely. "I was thinking about you and the baby. How do you taking care for her if you will go back to work? Who will take care of her?"
"Well, I still do not know what to think for now. Maybe when that time will come, I will think about it. I still have two months to think it over before going back to work."
Sophie nodded and sighed.
