Village of Geniuses?

As they walked into a room, Gu Tan spotted a girl sleeping while covered with a thin layer of white gas. This white gas was spreading chills throughout the room. Fortunately, it wasn't moving out of the room otherwise the entire house would be covered with this white gas.

Her white gas made Gu Tan instantly attracted. He couldn't help but walk closer to her. Aunt Lan tried to stop him but Gu Shui stopped her. She waited for her son to take any action. She has already seen through the girl's condition.

Although Gu Tan found her condition, he didn't remember her. To be exact, he doesn't remember anyone from this house. So, he suspected his mother did cure this girl in his past life. After all, his mother is a powerful cultivator which he just learned.

Of course, she is a cultivator. But, her cultivation was only at the third stage of Tiger and Dragon Realm. And, that's what he believed all his life.

He walked in front of the girl and stared at her face. For a moment, he was frozen. The girl was wearing a pink Yukata. She had a white complexion and a short height. Maybe it was due to her age. She seems to be around ten as well.

Her eyes were closed. And, her black hair was covered with white gas. The small mouth, and average breast size. She was beautiful. Zhao Yin and Zhao Xin were also beautiful but they lacked something that she had.

And, the problematic thing is he couldn't find what it is. From the beauty perspective, three of them seem to be equal. But, maybe it was because he saw them growing up. He couldn't help but extend his hand and hold her wrist.

But as soon as he touched her, the girl suddenly opened her eyes. When Gu Tan's eyes fell on those golden eyes, his was frozen once again. But, it wasn't just him. The girl was also frozen seeing a boy standing in front of her while holding her hand.

He had a tall height of nearly five feet. His red eyes and silver hair were mesmerizing. For a moment, both of them couldn't remove their eyes from each other.

Behind them, Gu Shui couldn't help but smile and pull Aunt Lan out of the room. She was a smart mom.

"Ahh! Sorry, I was just shocked by your golden eyes. I wanted to cure your cold. So, I hope you don't mind me holding your hand." Only when Gu Tan's ears caught up the sound of the door closing in, he wakes up. But, the girl was still staring into his eyes.

She only reacted when Gu Tan apologized. She couldn't help but turn her head away and blush slightly.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Gu Tan." Gu Tan answered while checking her pulse. He closed his eyes for a moment and released his internal energy through his finger.

Hearing his name, the girl turned his head at him and asked "Are you related to Uncle Chen?"

"Yep! I am his son. Now, I will transfer my internal energy into your body. It will make a quick scan of your condition. So, don't resist it for a moment." Gu Tan nodded his head and spoke but his voice was quite serious at this moment.

The girl nods her head and silent stayed in the same position. Slowly, the warm energy flow inside her hand and reached every corner of her body. Wherever the energy flowed, the warmth tagged along. The girl felt so good that she instantly fell asleep.

Seeing her falling asleep, Gu Tan sighed. The coldness of her body was torturing her body and thus, she wasn't able to sleep. He could at least deduce this from her reaction. When she fell asleep, he couldn't help but stare at her face for a long time.

'Sigh! I guess I need to cultivate a little more now.' Gu Tan sighed and closed his eyes once again. The internal energy returned back to his body but another energy moved out of his body. This energy was stored in his bones and it was the sun's essence.

He only had a little bit left that hadn't been merged with the bones. Transferring the sun's essence, he used his spiritual sense to control the sun's essence into her heart. Spiritual Sense is a powerful sixth sense that a cultivator develops.

This can do lots of things but it depends upon a cultivator to how much he can develop it. And, if Gu Tan merges spiritual sense to his Clear Divine Eyes, he can see everything around him without even looking around.

But this time, Gu Tan didn't need to use Clear Divine Eyes. He could simply see through her body with his spiritual sense. When he pried deeper, he found something strange in her bones, the source of coldness.

'Holy god of the motherland! What the hell is going on? Why does she have the Yin Body source? Isn't this body supposed to be rare, one in million possessing it? Hell's Golden Crow Bloodline, Atlas Bloodline, Twin Soul Physique, and now Yin Body.'

'Is this village a gathering of geniuses? Is that the reason why it got slaughtered in the first place?'

'Wait, what the hell am I thinking? That's shouldn't be possible, right? There is no way that's possible.' Gu Tan immediately rejected those thoughts and focused on her source.

'Hmm! This might be the best opportunity for me. I just need to keep her with me and slowly win her heart. Well, I am doing bad but I don't want to die a virgin twice. And, because of her Yin Body and less control over it, I got a better excuse for keeping her.'

'My Sun's Essence will keep her safe and she can also cultivate together with me. This seems like a better idea.'

Gu Tan slowly puts her hand on the bed. He stares at her one more time and leaves the room. As soon as he moves out, he sees his mom staring at him with a cunning smile. He couldn't help but roll his eyes.

He reached near Aunt Lan and says "She has a serious problem. It can't be cured. She needs to get control over it. But, it could take years. For now, I have suppressed her problem. But, it will soon erupt. I can't come here every day. So, it's better for her to live with us."

Hearing his words, Aunt Lan paused for a moment and said "It would be Yu Cao's blessing to live with Mistress. Is she awake now?"

Gu Tan shook his head and said "No, she is sleeping and let her sleep. After she wakes up, drop her at my house. By the way, she seems to be over the age of ten. Why hasn't she awakened the Martial Soul?"

Hearing his question, Aunt Lan was startled. She lowered her head and couldn't speak. At this moment, Gu Shui placed her arm on Gu Tan said "Let's go home now!"

Gu Tan noticed something. He slightly paused his mouth and nodded his head. Then, he turned back and said "Tomorrow, bring Yu Cao and Little Kao'er to my house."

"Yes, young master!" Aunt Lan slightly bowed and her sadness slowly fades away. Gu Tan and Gu Shui once again returned to other children and talked for a few minutes before leaving the place. During this time, Gu Tan stayed silent.

He didn't ask her anything nor did she tell him anything. But as soon as they walked out of the room, Gu Shui spoke "How many people in the village do you think to know about this place?"

"Only the family members and maybe the elders!" Gu Tan tilts his head as he thought and replied.

"Only the family members. Not even your uncle knows this place. It has been kept secret. In our village, there are no laws and rules. So, people can do pretty anything as long as they don't do things that are viewed badly by the village."

"The most common of these things would be Burrow/Lend and Dependence. In our village, there are many people who would make their children work if they learn about your father's secret act. Everyone one of them either doesn't have parents or doesn't have anyone at all."

"A few years ago, Kao'er and her little sister came to our village, searching for a job and a place to stay. At that time, you were just six years old and needed someone to take care of your mess. Although you were pretty adult from the behavior perspective, you still needed someone to manage a lot of things."

"That's why your father hired her even though we necessarily didn't need anyone. And, her sister was only three years old. Kao'er wanted to teach her sister about the work but when your father find out, he immediately took her sister away."

"Because Kao'er didn't understand at first, she was mentally broken. Only when she learned that her sister was living in a place with other children where she doesn't need work or even learn to work at her age, she calmed down."

"This was the exact reason why I told your father to keep this as a secret."
