Talk with the White Dragon Soul

"You don't expect me to form a bond that would risk my life when I can still form a normal bond, right?" Gu Tan replied with a calm expression on his face. He closed his eyes and withdrew his consciousness into his sea of consciousness.

It lies on the forehead. As he entered the sea of consciousness, he saw the white dragon soul floating around. The dragon soul had the white scale covering its body which was nearly two meters long and had no wings.

It had a pure aura beaming out like the sun's ray. For some reason, his soul was golden from birth. Although he didn't have enough soul power, it was golden which made him quite confused.

But, then he remembers his ability to store so many memories at such a small age is a miracle in itself. And, only a golden soul like his could do such a miracle. But, since he didn't have much soul power, he couldn't control his body like an adult.

Seeing the dragon, Gu Tan's golden soul spoke.

"Were you born a few days ago?"

"Ahh! How did you know?" The white dragon slowly moved towards him and asked with surprise on its face.

"Because you are tiny." Although the white dragon was two meters long, he had seen the dragon nearly a thousand meters long.

"Hehe! You are wrong. I was born a month ago. As for my size, it's because I don't get enough soul energy to develop." The white dragon spoke with a childish tone that made him smile. To improve the dragon's soul, one needs to feed its soul energy continuously.

Any Elemental Vein that is above Rare Rank possesses the dragon soul. And, those families who possess such elemental veins will do anything to gather enough soul energy to feed the dragon soul. As long as the dragon's soul remains, the supply of the elemental stones will never end.

Hearing his words, Gu Tan thought for a while. He knows the advantage and disadvantages of the life and death bond. That's why he was hesitating to choose it or not. He raised his head and spoke, "I don't think life and death bond is suitable between us."

"I am still alive you are dead. You only have your soul remains. And, once your soul energy runs out for some reason, you will once again enter the sleep state. But, I will die. Because that sleep state of yours is no different than death itself."

Hearing his words, the white dragon turned silent for a long time. It didn't know what to say. But, suddenly confusion flashed in its eyes as it asked "How do you know much? You are obviously a child."

"You!!!!! Who is your master? How does he know about Battle Soul Bond?" The white dragon trembled for a moment

"He is not famous. You might not know him. But, it seems your memories are restoring at a rapid pace. Is it the talent of White Dragon Race?" Gu Tan changed the topic and praised it.

The white dragon floated in front of him and proudly raised its head, saying "Of course, this is our racial talent. And, each time we die, our soul will continue to grow until we will be able to grow our body."

"Oh!!! I didn't know that. By the way, do you agree to form a battle soul bond with me?" Gu Tan was genuinely surprised. Because he didn't know they could return back to the original form. It would be impossible to form a body that's why they form battle soul bonds with other people in Saint Realm.

As for this world, they generally form an Equal Contract. Through this contract, the dragon and the human can fight and live together until one of them die. But, in major, or at least 95 percent cases, humans die first.

These dragon souls are impossible to kill unless you use soul attacks which in itself is hard. Unlike Elemental Mage and Martial Artists, Spiritualist is hard to find in this world. A Spiritualist is a person who trains his soul.

There are several side professions that a person can choose. But, you can only choose one if you are a mage. And, if you are a martial artist, you can't even choose one. But, if you are a spiritualist, you can choose all of them.

These side professions are called Alchemists, Blacksmiths, Talisman or Array Master, and Sage.

Alchemists are the group of people who creates potions. Potions are very rare in this world. And, it can only be found in the capital or higher-level cities. Some potions can improve one's cultivation, some can even improve physical strength and some can heal their injuries.

Blacksmiths are not exactly rare in this world. But, professional blacksmiths are indeed rare. Even martial artists can create a weapon if he knows the basics but he can't become a blacksmith because it needs fire and metal elemental veins.

This is why professional blacksmiths are rare. Normal blacksmiths can just use normal flames, irons, and the forging technique to create the weapon. But, a professional blacksmith will use his own flames which he can completely control, his own equipment that he can condense, and the forging technique which merges both of his elements together.

Of course, these professional blacksmiths are rare in this world. And, so, he can only assume the normal blacksmith as a real blacksmith.

Array Masters are also as rare as alchemists. They can be often found in academies and great families but they are not easy to find elsewhere. In this world, there are some people who can use a certain kind of technique known as the transformation technique.

This technique is quite common but very hard to learn. It allows people to transform their internal energy or elemental energy into a certain element. Such as internal energy into fire or ice into the fire. This allows them to condense runes.

Runes are simply the words that represent a certain attack or element that can be written in papers or other places such as ground or walls. If the runes are written in yellow papers, they are called talismans. If they are written in a wall, ground, or even inside a metallic plate, they are called arrays.

Unlike Talisman, Array is quite complex due to the vastness of the runes that need to be used.

And, finally, Sages are the group of people that could prophecies, locate someone, enlighten crowds, and do some other specific tasks. They are not just rare. Their number is so small that one kingdom can only have one sage.

Often they are also the advisers of the kings. In his previous life, Gu Tan had encountered a few sages and he doesn't even remember them properly. But, what he does remember is a cultivation technique that can help him become a spiritualist.

Except for that, he must form a bond with this dragon. That's why he patiently waited for the dragon's reply. He wasn't sure if the battle dragon would agree. Because being one's battle soul means you need to help them become a spiritualist.

That's what it means to have a battle soul. A battle soul can absorb the spiritual qi from surrounding and transform it into the soul power following the instruction of a certain cultivation technique and use it to enhance someone's soul.
