13 The Unchosen One (1)

In this Timeline, the Ragna Kent of this Timeline (Remember, not that Ragna from the 12th Timeline, the old man), Ragna Orion *Miraikuru Kent is a powerless boy as he was not given any Blessing Core from the Diviners.
Even though he is basically powerless he still helps his grandmother as he trains his body in order to be successful in his life, even though the law to be successful in this world is to be chosen by the gods themselves first.
As he struggles, he works every possible work even in his teenage age as he was so desperate for living for he didn't want to be a burden to his only family member, his grandmother, Rory Kent.
From laboring many kinds of jobs from working in a restaurant to working as construction labor and even becoming bait for Demonic Monsters for the Hunters that need to Raid the Dungeons beyond the Dimensional Gates, the very place where the Demonic Monsters camps as the Dungeons are basically historical wreckage from the ancient Holy War which the monsters use to stay as they loot and keep the ancient treasures.
As Ragna is helping the Hunters, this time he is tasked to bring the Hunters' bag as those Hunters tell him to go faster.
" Yes, sir .... "

As he brings the back further, the Hunters begin to discuss some things about him.
" I never thought that there's a person that would do this Bait job seriously, I mean just look at him ... " said one of the hunters.
" Just how financially low he is for wasting his youth in this kind of job ... "
" Who knows? " said the other Hunters.
" But I hear that the reason he did this is that he didn't want to burden his grandmother, that old lady that has the mini restaurant. "
" The old lady, who still had a young skin, as if she was blessed with immortality. "
" You mean that woman, Rory Kent? "
" Yes ..., that one ..!!!! "
" That old lady who is said to have a Tier III Core despite its useless blessing. "
" Oh yes, they said that her ability is Healing Body Blessing huh ..., that very unorthodox blessing that said can heal anyone if the one who needs to be healed bite a part of her body, that one right? "
" Yes, that's the thing ... it is said after you bite her then you will live longer for 30 years with a young body, perfect isn't it? " the Hunter asks as they then realize that Ragna is going further away.
" Hey, how much range we had with the boy ...? " the Hunter asks the other tells that they had at least a hundred meters away from Ragna as they then discuss something.
" You know, that grandmother is currently alone after her husband died at her forty's, both her son and her daughter-in-law died due to some tragic accident and last her other family members are now gone leaving that brat behind as her relatives.
" So .... "
" Oho, Cedric I think I know where is this going ... ehehehehe ... " said the Hunter Colt as the other one also grins and laughs as Cedric the Raid Leader tells them something.

( Meanwhile. )
In the further places of the very Dungeon, Ragna Orion Mirakuru Kent or known as Ragna Kent is trying to evade the camping monsters inside this Dungeon as he then checks himself if he had cuts on his body.
"( Thank goodness, that my body is unscratched. )"
"( Otherwise, these monsters would instantly locate where I am especially since I have recently known that I'm a 'Sacrifice Lamb'. )" Ragna says to himself as he recounts what the term Sacrifice Lamb is.
A 'Sacrifice Lamb' or some others used to say a Sacrificial Lamb, is a term for those who are Unchosen by the Blessings that said to have delicious blood which can attract many Demonic Monsters, Creatures, and any supernatural malice. They called these people a 'lamb' since a lamb is a weak creature and the Unchosen Ones are basically the weakest humans that are very vulnerable to these kinds of things since they were not given any core that can protect them from Demonic Phenomenons.
Just like Ragna here, he was just recently known to be a 'Sacrifice Lamb' after a few times helping the hunters as a Carrier which at that time, he was cut by a monster which instantly made the monster hungry as they immediately smell his delicious blood.
Back then, if it was not for the help of the Hunters that is still his close neighbors and used to be friends with his grandmother, that boy would probably be eaten as it is always the very fate of the Unchosen One who had the 'Sacrifice Lamb' Blood.
Right now, even Ragna is using his full clothing, wearing a thick jacket, long jeans, masks, gloves, and booths. He is still cautious for, in the Dungeon, danger could appear from anywhere as he then sees that he is already far away from the other Hunters.
"( I've lost them ... )" Ragna says as he immediately went to the higher places in the Dungeon as he can see that the Goblin monsters there are in their feeding time with the giant Orc as their leader.
"( I need to hide as fast as I can, for this time, the Hunters who are with me are rumored to be bad people. )"
"( And I have to find a way to kill them ... )" Ragna says as he remembers that before he even enters this Dungeon, he hears from the Hunter admins that the guys that were stationed in his current Party are one of the Scavenge Guild, the guild that the members are popularly known to murder anyone who gets in their way from finding the Dungeon's Treasures.
As Ragna remembers that, he then decided to do the extreme as he cut open his first jacket and cuts it with the knife that he brings from home he immediately decided to tear the jacket and put it with the bag after he takes away some things from it and then decides to cut his hand in order to pour his torn jacket with his delicious blood as he immediately throws the jacket and the bag outside and left his hiding place.
" I need to get to a safer place, for I am not capable of surviving if the clash happens. " Ragna says as he hears the Hunters are getting nearby from the place he came from.

*Miraikuru:
The name Miraikuru is actually a combined word from the Japanese word "Mirai" which means future and "Mirakuru" which is actually how Ragna's Japanese mother pronounced the English word "Miracle" in her tongue. So Miraikuru must be Ragna's parents' wish for Ragna to have a Miraculous Future.
