- Excuse me ma'am, I would like to rent a room for me and my... husband.

Melody was wearing the same coat she was wearing during the murders.

Jack killed three people in just one night. It was frightening Melody, even thou she was the trigger that got him to feel real emotions in front of her, the way how she did it was in a horrible way. She was confused over her own conflicting feelings.

That was the reason why she asked Jack if she could be the one to organize them a place for the night to stay in. Well the night was nearly over but still, a few hours of sleep were something both of them needed, she was certain of that. Also, being responsible of such a task was a good way to keep herself distracted from herself and Jack needed to dispose of all the evidence he had on him either way, so this was perfect timing.

- Of course, you are in luck, we only have two rooms left. However first, I need to see your ID card.

- I understand.

Melody was searching for it in her pockets, then showed it to the woman standing behind the counter.

Jack had already anticipated such a moment and wanted to visit a friend of his to fake an ID for Melody, but she was prepared herself and had already faked an ID before she even proposed to Jack.

- You just turned twenty-one and you are already married. I remember when I was this young and in love... Would you like to tell me more about your special someone?

Melody was relieved she bought her lie, of her being twenty-one and happily talked to the lady about some made up story over their wedding and that this night would be their wedding-night. After hearing this she recommended one of the two rooms over the other, while stating that it'll be more expensive, but well worth it. Melody took out a credit card Jack gave her beforehand.

- How sweet... I'll make sure no one will interrupt you till tomorrow... Although it's late for you to have a wedding-night now...

- Oh... Yes... Well the hotel we originally planned to stay in had a problem and the other hotels we tried were all booked out... We really are in luck that we found this place.

- Speaking of being in luck, where is your husband madam?

- Oh... ah, he said he needed to make some calls about our flight tomorrow. We plan to go to Paris for our honeymoon...

- How romantic! Well then, here is your key-card, your room is actually the most expensive one. Just take the elevator to the highest floor. You will need to use this key to have access to it.

She gave Melody a fancy looking key and pointed in the direction the elevator was located.

She waited in front of the elevator for Jack to arrive, sitting on a red couch, crested with lots of small details, like pearls and patterns seemingly woven into the fabric with silver.

Looking around Melody noticed how high class this hotel was looking, with velvet all over the place and expensive looking furniture, red carpet and gold ornaments all over the place. She wondered how much they needed to pay for just one night and was in turn wondering how much money was on Jacks credit card, that he could afford the most expensive suite in such a high society hotel.

After a while Jack arrived at the hotel entrance with new clothes and his usual expressionless face. There was no hint that he just killed three people or of that frightening smile he had wile murdering someone. His clothes were looking expensive, fitting for a hotel like this one. He was wearing a black jacket and underneath it a dark red vest, covering his white shirt. He also was wearing a dark blue tie and a golden tie clip, reflecting the heavy lighting from above. He was looking like a young adult, making millions while being the head of a big company. Melody knew that because she met a lot of people dressed just like this because of her father's job.

He was heading towards the counter, but then he saw Melody sitting on the couch and directly approached her.

- Did you rent a room?

Melody was bit stunned. To her he looked like an angel especially with the light shining on him, but reminding herself how he looked just an hour ago and considering that she had a lot of unpleasant talks with people being dressed like this, she had mixed feelings about Jacks new appearance.

- Oh, yes I did. I told her we are married and that tonight is our wedding-night...

- What? Why?

- Because I needed a believable story and I thought that-

- Not that married thing, why is it our wedding-night tonight?

- This way we won't be bothered, I thought it would a clever way of reassuring that...

- Yes. It is, however now they expect us to leave soon, to go away to some southern paradise or something for our honeymoon...

- Actually I told them that we would go to Paris...

- ...

Jack didn't respond. He had no expression as usual, but Melody was able to notice that he was thinking hard about something.

- Okay... Let me think... What else did you tell them?

- Oh! I said you were phoning someone about our flights to Paris. Maybe we can build on that? Telling them our flights got cancelled?

- ...Okay, I'll go do that. You go to our suite for now.

- No I'll go with you. You need a key to our suit, so we need to go together.

- A key? Oh so that must mean you got an expensive suite... That's actually good for us.

They were heading to the counter and Jack told the lady, who was charmed by his looks about them not being able to go to their desired location and if it would be fine to stay for a few nights, than just one. He faked an enchanting smile and flirted a bit with the lady, to which Melody gave her a few jealous looks. However she didn't even notice, she was too focused on Jack who had her completely under his control. She told them they could stay over the weekend but needed to leave after that because some politician had booked their suite for Monday in advance. Jack accepted the offer and went to the elevator with Melody hooking up to his arm.

The elevator had a special button, which only worked after unlocking it with the key Melody had. The entrance room itself was already pompous enough, but after it opened to reveal their suite, the foyer seemed like nothing compared to what lied in front of their eyes.

They booked the Sky-suite, and it showed that name in every way possible. With Windows reaching all the way from the bottom to the top of the room with a six meter sealing having multiple levels, an indoor pool and much more. Even Jack, couldn't help but be impressed by this.

They were walking around, exploring the different rooms which included a small library, a bathroom as big as some living rooms, a living room looking like the inside of a castle and a bedroom filled with pillows and other soft things like multiple blankets and a carped being smooth enough to go as a bed. The bed itself was the biggest one Melody had ever seen, overdrawn with velvet and some rose leaves were lying around it, together with candles that gave the whole room a romantic atmosphere.

- I-I didn't know that it would... I mean, it makes sense, but you know... I really didn't plan to... Jack?

Jack already started to take of his clothes. At first Melody covered her eyes, but then she decided to look. Jack was standing in front of her, only wearing his underwear. He had scars over his body and was despite not specifically looking like that, very muscular. His abs were showing and Melody couldn't help but look more at his body. With this view in front of her, her thoughts were spinning around, from embarrassment to excitement.

- I take the left side.

With those words he climbed onto the left side of the bed, covered himself with a blanket, closed his eyes and went to sleep.
