Chapter 5

Luca led Amphorn into a spacious room, offered him a seat and brought him a set of desserts and tea. Who knows where he got them this quickly, Amphorn was sure there was not anything on the table when they first arrived.

"Whatever you want to know just ask away. I know everything." Luca sat with his legs wide open on the single sofa. He seems to find whatever is happening today very entertaining. 

"What is this place and why did your master bring me here? Also, It seems your technology level is much higher than in any other place. I saw people on the way here and they used some strange device to move around and this place doesn't seem to be populated even though this place appears to be so large."  Amphorn has many questions, so he asks them without holding back. He just hopes we aren't involved in some dangerous scheme.  

Ptt!

HAHAHAHA…HA..HA.HA!

"You are so funny, there wasn't any advanced technology they used soul energy. And master brings you here to do some important mission that only you can do as master's other half. The population here seems low because people aren't always normally outside, they need to cultivate soul energy to stabilise the orbital."  Luca had an annoying smirk on his face as he answered the question.

Crack!!

Amphorn's worldview as a scientist which seems to be on the brink of breaking apart, suddenly got completely shattered by this news.

'Soul power, cultivation! What dangerous words are to be told to the scientist? So it is like magic, after all, my years of education were wasted just like that. huh! Wait a minute, something's not right. Master's other half and mission only I can do, looks like I'm already in the middle of something annoying even before I arrive here.' Amphorn wants to go home already. He doesn't want to stay here any longer and listen to this cheeky man.

'Ophs! He looks like he wants to leave here at any time now,'   Luca doesn't want to upset the young man in front of him any longer.

"I forgot to give you full details so it's normal to feel confused so listen well to what I'm going to say." Luca once again turns into a proper butler mode.

The place where Amphorn is staying is called the inner world or the centre of the earth. People who live here are all called guardians, they have the responsibility to guard the plants and their orbitals. In the inner world, eight families wield more power. The seven families are responsible for the seven planets in the Milky Way universe such as Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune and the family who is responsible for the sun is the head of the other families in the other world, their king. Of course, there are other families in the inner world as well who are responsible for other things in the universe. 

For all the guardians who live in the inner world, two main rules must be followed. First guard the earth and the assigned plant or other thing you meant to be guard. Second, never forget the first rule. 

 Being a guardian for a plant doesn't mean you need to be in space all year round. When our universe is in danger, our older generation found a way to save themself and the plants and their orbital by building an alternative planet on Earth that represents the planet in the universe. They used a special power called soul energy to accomplish this feat. This kind of power will bring imbalance to earth so the older generation built this inner world to accumulate the guardians here and use a special technique to erase all traces of the things and they are forbidden to use the soul power outside. Without the king's permission, no one can pass through the barrier. 

The guardians were normally born with strong soul power, but there are limits to how much a human body can handle. This is where the other half comes from, they carry the soul power of the guardians in their bodies. How the other half came about is unknown but it became known a long time ago. Not everyone has strong soul power, therefore not everyone has the other half, they don't know if they have the other half. It'll work like magic and at random times as well. Some of the other self and the guardians were born in the inner world, but rarely were they born outside. The other half themselves were not always humans when they were born as animals or plants. Totally Random!

That's where the compasses come into play. When the guardians realise they have the other half, with a special soul technique they can find their other half accurately without the problem. The guardians themself know if their other half is human or not instantly so they won't have any drama of finding the wrong person.

When the guardian and their other half form a bond they become irreplaceable for each other. It was a special relationship that can't be explained by words alone.

Amphorn just sat there in a daze.

'Well, I guess it is a lot to take in as a person from the outside.' Luca stares at the young man in front of him who seems to be in deep thought.

"You see, I'm a man" Amphorn looks quite troubled. 

"I can see that" Luca tilted his head towards Amphorn who brought up an unexpected topic out of nowhere.

"Adam is also a man… and I like girls" Amphorm's face heats up and appears flustered.

'Why am I discussing this with a total stranger?  

sigh.. can this day get any worse?'

"OH!" Luuca looked shocked.

"Ptt! HAHAHA…HAHA.HAHA! Oh my god  HAHA. 

You are a funny fellow. HAHA ". Luca plopped onto the sofa and laughed neatly for two whole minutes. 

If there were a likeability meter Luca will find out -10 -10 -10 -10 above Amphore's head. 

"HA AHAAHA A  HAHAHA A "

Amphorn sat there and stared at the untruly Luca who looked like gone mad with an indifferent look

'I truly don't like him.'

"Sigh! My poor self,"   Amphorn also plopped onto the sofa and stared at the ceiling in a daze.
