Chapter 7 Chicken Dinner

The couple and Edric look at the table in disbelief. There are golden crispy chicken, salad, mashed

potatoes with sauce, and freshly baked sweet buns. And there's Fiora who's setting up the cutlery.

"You cooked all these?" Edric asked while staring at the foods.

"Indeed"

"Oh my Fiora.. I never know you are able to prepare something like this"

"My daughter can finally get marry"

"Hush! Dad don't say such annoying stuff"

Her parents sat and followed by Edric and Fiora. Fiora even put the food in their plates, garnishing and

serving them.

Edric took some of the mashed potatoes with his index finger and suck on it.

"Hey, it's quite tasty.."

Fiora slapped his hand lightly.

"Use spoon!"

Edric blinks but obeys anyway. He pick up the spoon. But as usual, he still eat like barbarians. Stuffing

himself.

"Fiora! What did you put on the chicken? It's so yummy!"

"Well, some spices"

"Dear this is so good! You can be a chef!"

Beatriz eat cheerfully

"Woahh even the salad taste so good. I don't know these veggies can taste this good"

Hans can't stop eating his salad.

Fiora feels very satisfied. Their reaction amused her.

'People in this era never taste KFG before and many other tasty food.. What if.. "

Clang!

Fiora put down her fork and knife.

"Dad! I want to open a restaurant!"

Beatriz and Hans stopped eating and look at Fiora's enthusiastic expression.

"You want to open a restaurant?"

"Yes!"

Hans suddenly has a sad and worried look on his face. He sighed.

"But Fiora.. listen. You cook very well now and I don't mean to discourage you or some sort. But dear I

only have few coppers. I afraid that will not be enough to rent a shop lot or to buy the ingredients.."

Beatriz nods sadly while listening to her husband. Beatriz want to help her daughter but she didn't own

any jewelry either.

But, strangely Fiora have a wide smile on her face.

"Don't worry about the money. I will build myself a small stall first. Once I save enough, I'd rent a shop."

Fiora actually has more than enough. Even she don't have exact idea of 5 gold coins worth, but she do

know that even 1 coin can sustain her for a full month with the decent accomodation. However if she

suddenly tell her parents and Edric about the money, they will be interrogating her. That will be

irritating.

"Then I will find some plank for you and will build a nice stall for my daughter" Hans smiled sweetly. He's

happy that there's something he's able to help.

"No uncle, I will go get it and I will do the cutting and hammering too. You shouldn't work to much"

Edric said while brushing his hair backwards. Fiora can't help but stare.

'He look charming'

"You will? Hahahaha it's really awesome to have a young guy around"

Hanz laughed loudly. Beatriz also smiles looking at Edric. 'How awesome would it be if Edric become my

son in law'

"Hello! Fiora? I'm here!"

"Ah! He came!" Fiora stood and hurriedly walk to open the door.

Edric is feeling very confused. Beside him, Filo is eating the food like a crazy man. Keep eating and

praising Fiora. Filo, the same guy that used to bully Fiora too in the past. Now that guy even dare to step

foot in Fiora's house. Edric hate this chubby guy. His mood totally ruined.

"You planned to open a stall?"

"Yes, indeed~ and I hope you will be stopping by a lots"

"Absolutely! With food like this.. I will surely buy everyday!" Filo seems so excited.

'Great. I will surely be able to earn lots of money later' Fiora grins.

Edric noticed her grin and flinched. Fiora's grin look devilish. That is a really rare sight for him.

2 days later, Edric is cutting the planks with an iron saw. He wipes the sweat on his face and he look at

Fiora. Fiora is assembling the planks and hammering them. She even drew the blueprint for the stall.

'Since when she know how to build stuff?'

Fiora look so focused. She tied her hair in high bun while few strands of hair flowing beside her ears.

Beautiful green eyes and small cherry lips..

'Shit! Why I am staring at her like that?!'

Edric look away and continue to cut the plank. His speed increases. His heart beat also got faster. He

don't understand himself too. He start looking at Fiora in different way since she woke up from her long

slumber.

"Ta daaaa! My new stall! Is it nice?"

"Of course it is! My daughter built it! Beatriz hug Fiora.

"This look better than the usual store" Hans said proudly while he examines the wooden stall.

There's even 4 wheels, a handle, built in cabinets and rack. And also 2 square metal container with

charcoal in it. On top of it is metal bars. This the stove like. The stall even painted with white and red

colour and with KFG letters on it as per Fiora's drawing.

"Dad, Edric, thank you for helping me. Mom thank you for supporting me. From now on, I will work

hard"

Beatriz smiled and nodded. Hans pat his daughter head. While Edric has a wide grin.

For a week, Fiora is working out to set up everything. Without a fridge it's a bit complicated. However

she already make a deal with a chicken supplier using Filo's help. They will provide her 20 fresh chicken

at early in the morning. Then Fiora will marinate and coat them with the flour and spices. It's easy to

store those chicken in one of the compartment in her stall.

Now Fiora is frying the chicken at the main street of her village. She plan to sell here first then she will

move to sell at nearby villages before moving to the city. The aroma of the KFG chicken attract many

people. She sell one chicken for 20 copper. The price for raw chicken is 12 copper. The price is

reasonable and the taste is amazing. On her first week selling, she managed to sell on average 18

chicken per day. She decided that she need to change her location now. She want to sell all 20 chicken

daily. Then she will add more stock.

So after informing her customers about her new location, she moved to the road junction of her village;

Brook Village and Heins Village.

Filo is beside her, stirring the sauce. He started working with her since 2 days ago. At home, Filo barely

do anything. Fiora is paying him one KGF chicken daily. He's rather addicted to it by now. Filo's family

has better financial condition compared to Fiora's. So he's not really in need of small amount of copper.

However he do wonder how Fiora manage to buy the chicken supply. He helped Fiora to meet the

supplier and to make a deal. He saw how Fiora pay them 1 gold coin for 3 months supply. 'How did she

get the gold coin?' He stare at Fiora who's taking out fresh bread from one of the compartment. The

compartment is tightly closed and placed beside the stove. So it stay warm and fresh.

Filo is assigned to handle the customers transaction. While chopping the salad in between. Working with

Fiora, Filo is able to eat yummy food and also meet many people. He enjoy it a lot. He can't wait to go to

the city later with Fiora.
