Chapter 5: New Alliance has an Interesting Offer..

The central plaza of the starter village was bustling with activity. NPC merchants shouted to advertise their products and players were competing for equipment. Amidst the crowd, I spot Titanz. As intimidating as his towering figure and muscular build should seem, in contrast I felt a sense of safety being around him. 

Titanz greeted me with a passionate smile as I walked up to him. "It seems like you are UwUE-kitten. With a pat on my shoulder, he exclaimed, "Thanks for meeting me!"

"No problem", I replied. "So what offers do you have to discuss with me in detail?" 

He gestured for me to follow him to a more private area in the plaza where no one else can hear our conversation. Titanz leaned his back against the wall with his arms crossed and asked after some hesitation, "So about that hidden quest.."

"Yeah I just got lucky." I quickly replied to interrupt him. 

Knowing I have no intentions of spilling any information he shrugged it off. "Fair enough, let me get straight to the point then. Do you have any interest in being the first team to kill the a lvl 20 Boss in the server?"

I hesitated. Memories of my past life flooded back uncontrollably. Last life I was a lone wolf, grinding everything myself. I thought that was good enough; I never needed teammates. But now I feel the warmth of being needed by someone else. Additionally, Titanz is definitely a reliable tank, and I will gain more reputation afterward. I see no loss in this. 

"Sure. When will that be?" 

"I will still need to find a support for our team. I will contact you sometime next week when that's ready", Titanz replied with a smile of appreciation on his face.

For the next 30 minutes we discussed our strategy for the upcoming boss fight. After our discussion ended, I started planning the necessary equipment and skills I would have to grind within this period to ensure I am ready to take down the boss next week.

I planned to start off with grinding for skill books as despite having an SSS rarity talent, without skills that match it, its pretty useless. 

SSS rarity talent (Enslaver of Shadows)

Skill Description : After each kill, Player receives dark orb/orbs depending on the level of the creature/boss/player (Level 1-10 = 1 dark orb, Level 11-20 = 2 dark orb, Level 21-30 = 3 dark orbs, etc).

Sub Skill 1 - Shadow Enhance: Consume 75 dark orbs. Attack and Speed increases by 175% for 5 minutes. 

Cooldown: 10 minutes 

Sub Skill 2 - Shadow Bind : Consume 500 dark orbs. Become invisible, invincible, and intargettable for 30 seconds. 

Cooldown: 6 hours

Sub Skill 3 - Shadow Enslave : Consume 7500 dark orbs. Permanently enslave a creature/boss who has evilness towards owner of talent. 

Cooldown: 10 days

It is essential to save dark orbs in the early game to activate Shadow Enslave in the late game against a max level boss. A max level boss enslaved would be a significant advantage in battle. It would be having the help of a max level player but with added unique abilities as a boss. 

As I planned my next steps, I made my way to the equipment store in the starter village to purchase some equipment and potions. Being still unsure of the consequences of dying in Realmshaper III I decided to spend all my money buying health potions and a survival armor set. 

Blacksteel Armor Set

Set Effect: Increase Health and Defense by 25%. 

What a scammer. This armor has the most basic set effect and costed me 1200 gold??? Now I only have 600 gold left. That NPC merchant is lucky that I am scared of dying right now otherwise there's no way I would've bought that crap armor. 

 I guess my new armor isn't completely useless and did add a bit more confidence for the upcoming boss fight. But before that, I still need to farm for some skill books..
