40 40 I'll see you soon

I woke up with a sore throat and swollen eyes, I would have laughed at my appearance if it was before with the way my eyes look like a bee stung me. Cole is nowhere in sight and  I've got to ask my parents how cole is in my home.

I saw mom eating her breakfast with cole across from her. They were talking and mom is smiling for the first time in a while. My heartache when I remember my family lost a son and a brother. Tears threatened to spill but I blink back furiously.  Cole looks up when he hears my footstep and gave me a small smile. I ignore him and greet my mom.

"Mom, what are we having for breakfast?"

" good morning honey cole makes us bacon and eggs "

"Ohh"

My mom looks between cole and I sensing the tension, she excuses herself giving us some privacy. " hey"

" cole what are you doing here?"

"Eat your breakfast ly we'll talk later I promise"

"Fine but you're leaving after the talk"
