Li Yan's voice was slow and deep, carrying a gloominess and ruthlessness that Ning Zhi had never seen before. He seemed like a madman at that moment.

Ning Zhi gradually found it difficult to evade the invasion of the man. She raised her hand to block the space between her and him. "You promised me before! You said that you would let me go after you got married. You should honor your promise, Li Yan. Don't make me look down on you!"

Li Yan did say those words two years ago. At that time, Ning Zhi's grandmother was still alive, and Ning Zhi wasn't as disobedient as she was now.

Ning Zhi slowly came to her senses. For him to be so angry and rush over to find trouble with her, there must be someone adding fuel to the fire behind the scenes. Li Yan had no idea how destructive his words were to her. He couldn't fathom other reasons why Ning Zhi deceived him regarding her grandmother. He only saw her eyes turning red in a terrifying way, and the surging emotions in them seemed to drown her.
