1 ~ Introduction ~

Yuu had just started her day off with a refreshing glass of orange juice as she sat down for breakfast.

Mom was making her delicious blueberry pancakes again.

"Smells good Mom," Yuu said smiling.

Yuu's smile was met with a worried smile from her mom.

"What's wrong? Yuu asked. Her mom was never usually worried.

Mom put down the spatula and turned towards Yuu.

"You know how I've been staying out late alot for sometime now?" Mom asked.

Of course she was always late home even after work was done.

"Yes," Yuu said.

"I've been seeing someone...for a year now," Mom said.

Yuu's eyes wided.

"I know your father passed away and yes I'll never forget him he was an amazing man but-"

"Mom I know... I just didn't know if you would ever have a relationship again," Yuu said.

"I'm happy for you."

Mom smiled.

"Yuu I'm engaged.." Mom said holding out her hand to show her a sparkling ring.

"Mom, you never told me you were engaged?!"

"I didn't know how to tell you sweetie."

"We've been discussing things and he and his daughter will move in today BUT only if your okay with it," Mom said.

Moving in?! Daughter?! WHAT THE HELL?!

Yuu looked at her mom's face.

"I'm okay with it," she said.

Mom smiled brightly.

"Thank you they should be here soon-"

*ding dong!*

"That must be them!".Mom said happily rushing to the door.

When she opened the door a man a tall figure and wavy brown hair stood there.

He smiled brightly at her as they hugged.

She ushered them in.

That must've been his daughter behind him.

She didn't really look like her dad.

She had raven black hair that flowed behind her and she was tall also.

She was really pretty.

Yuu waved at them and went over.

After introductions Mom began explaining how changes were going to be made.

The man's name was Ki and my to be step sister Hana.

Yuu thought about how different her life would be now.

There was an uneasiness.

Not the engagement but something...

She turned around finding Hana staring at her but when she turned around she looked away.

That was weird, Yuu thought.

I thought I was seeing things.

The little mirror that usually hung on the wall where Hana was standing showed no reflection!

That's when she knew something was really wrong.

Most definitely.
