3 Officially Signed

During the afternoon, when Lin Xiaohui arrived to the company building, she was stopped by the front desk lady who informed her that the CEO was in a meeting with another person.

Lin Xiaohui frowned and politely asked the front lady if she could announce her presence to the CEO and moments later she received a call telling her to head to the top floor.

While she was in front of Zhan Chen's office, she noticed he truly was in a meeting with someone else, so she waited until the people inside were finished. After a few minutes, a very beautiful man angrily stormed out, who Lin Xiaohui recognized as the idol Tan Ruanjun showed her a while ago... Shen Wuying?

The Shen Wuying in question had a strange expression and the corners of his eyes were slightly red, as if was holding back tears. When he noticed Lin Xiaohui, he hurriedly fixed his posture and smiled before quickly walking away.

Thinking nothing of this weird interaction, she knocked on the door and stepped into the office, where Zhan Chen was waiting for her.

"Miss Lin, welcome." Zhan Chen was a very attractive man. When speaking, his voice was very low and gave off a sexy feeling, but Lin Xiaohui wasn't interested.

"Mr. Zhan, I hear you wanted to sign me into your company?" Lin Xiaohui questioned straight away. She didn't want to waste time and merely went right into the topic.

Zhan Chen seemed a bit startled but he smiled before saying, "Yes. I take it you've considered my offer?"

"I wouldn't be here if I hadn't." Lin Xiaohui retorted. "I want to ask though... why did you choose me?"

The other side was silent for a bit and then regained his composure. He turned to grab some papers and laid them out in front of Lin Xiaohui, letting her read the contents of the contract.

"You're already quite popular on the internet, and your face is worthy of being a star. I'm also friends with your brother, and he's told me you're able to act quite well." Zhan Chen explained as he watched her, then he continued, "Zhan Entertainment won't treat you unfairly. We will endorse any projects you pick up on and you will receive 85% of the shares you earn. If there's anything in the contract you're unsatisfied with, it can be negotiated."

Lin Xiaohui read through the contract before signing her name. There was nothing fishy and everything was agreeable.

"I'll call you at a later time to arrange a meeting with your manager." Zhan Chen informed her.

"Thank you." Lin Xiaohui flashed a smile before leaving.

On her way out, she bumped into someone and dropped her purse. Picking her purse back up, she lifted her head to look at the familiar figure.

"Do you not have eyes? Watch where you're going!" Zhong Yanmei showed a face full of disdain as she crossed her arms. She wore no makeup other than a bright red lipstick, but her pale face that contrasted with the red gave off an enchanting look.

"Hi~ Are you here to sign with Zhan Entertainment?" Lin Xiaohui ignored the hatred in Zhong Yanmei's eyes and greeted her.

"My business has nothing to do with you." Zhong Yanmei answered coldly.

Lin Xiaohui was a bit offended, so she decided to tease a bit more, "Oh, but we might become future partners. We'll be working in the same company."

Zhong Yanmei's eyebrow twitched before she quickly walked off, leaving Lin Xiaohui behind.

Lin Xiaohui watched as Zhong Yanmei disappeared and shrugged before calling her driver to pick her up and take her home. Once she was home, Mother Lin was waiting for her.

"How did it go? Zhan Chen, that rascal, he didn't bully you, did he? Ah, I should have just forced your brother to sign you into our company instead." Mother Lin asked as she pushed Lin Xiaohui inside the house.

"It went well, mom. Why do you call him a rascal? Besides, our family doesn't even specialize in the entertainment business." Lin Xiaohui laughed.

"He's known for being cold and cruel towards women. If he even thought of bullying my baby, I'd go complain to his mother!" Mother Lin showed her exaggerated confidence.

"Who would dare bully this evil monster?" A snort came from the living room and Lin Xiaohui's eyes brightened.

"Xinyi!" She called out as she ran inside the living room to find Gu Xinyi, her childhood friend, sitting on the sofa next to her brother. He was casually eating pudding and he looked up to smirk in a provoking manner at Lin Xiaohui.

"Xinyi, call my sister a monster again and I'll make sure you never see the light of day." Lin Chi scowled from besides him as he harshly kicked Gu Xinyi.

"Ow! You motherfucker, you wanna fight?!" Gu Xinyi angrily kicked back and the two began to playfully fight each other. Mother Lin sighed and hit her son in the head.

"Xinyi just came back from abroad and you're already arguing with him! Should I send you to the states as well? Maybe in this way, you'll finally grow a brain." As she scolded her son, Mother Lin turned to Gu Xinyi and beamed, "Xinyi, how did your studies go?"

"I'm starting my final year in a couple of months. I came back for vacation." Gu Xinyi responded.

"What? You didn't miss me? Tan Ruanjun kept bothering me about you!" Lin Xiaohui expressed her complaints as she sat down besides Lin Chi.

"You two demons are just gonna haunt me anyways. Last time I came back, you almost emptied my wallet." Gu Xinyi glared at Lin Xiaohui which resulted in being kicked again by Lin Chi.

"Our Hui has her own card with millions in allowance every week, why would she need your money?" Lin Chi spat.

"You're calling me poor now?" Gu Xinyi shot back.

Sensing another brawl about to occur, Lin Xiaohui quickly stood and excused herself. She just remembered that she had promised Tan Ruanjun to rank in WOH.

"See you later, crybaby!" Lin Xiaohui said to Gu Xinyi as she ran upstairs.

Gu Xinyi: "Who's the fucking crybaby?!"

Once Lin Xiaohui logged into the game, she called Tan Ruanjun and the latter also came online. Lin Xiaohui sent out an invitation for ranking and Tan Ruanjun accepted.

Lin Xiaohui saw that in the top right corner, she had over 100 friend requests.

Sure enough, they were all from the same person.

"Junjun, that guy keeps bothering me." Lin Xiaohui said to Tan Ruanjun through the in-game mic.

"Why don't we play with him? I think he's a professional player." Tan Ruanjun replied.

"You just want someone to carry you to higher levels!" Lin Xiaohui was flabbergasted, but eventually messaged the other party.

YourMomHui: Want to get blocked again?

XJXBWOSPALBSQ123: Little sister, I was wrong. I won't act up again.

Lin Xiaohui formed a smile before inviting the other player into the team with her and Tan Ruanjun. She had told Tan Ruanjun beforehand not to unmute her mic, so neither of them talked as they queued for a match.

"Sisters, why am I the only one talking? Don't tell me you two are guys after all?" The misogynistic smurf player was extremely talkative. It got to the point that Lin Xiaohui had to unmute to yell at him to shut up.

"Whoa~ little sister, your voice is really nice! Tell me to shut up again?" He messed around the entire time. Her reactions were hilarious, and it made him want to continue annoying her.

"Eat shit."

Lin Xiaohui immediately kicked him out of their party and Tan Ruanjun laughed until her stomach hurt.
