1 Prolugue - First Step To Becoming A Villain: Have A True Goal

New Earth...

200 BA...

Humanity discovered the first dimensional rift in Europe. Our scientists were intrigued by the strange energy and wanted to exploit it, their goal was to use this energy to create the greatest weapons of mass destruction.

The research on the rift and the attempts to tap into it's strange energy led to the unprecedented released of the dimensional cosmic radiation into the atmosphere.

The first humans to be exposed to and infected by this radiation had their genetic code mutated, therefore, they were turned into mutants.

The government isolated these group of mutants away from humanity and gave them up for inspections and research.

They discovered that these humans had residues of the strange cosmic radiation converted into energy in their bodies. They were said to be able to harness deadly powers that the energy in their bodies had the highest affinity to.

After years of research, they decided to go back to the rift to investigate when they were engaged by an army of strange monsters.

Normal bullets proved useless against their hard bodies. The only weapons effective against them were either those infused with the harnessed cosmic energy or heavy artillery like nuclear weapons.

They discovered that the strange monsters had high levels of cosmic energy infused in the neurons which was very harmful to humans, and since the creatures had very hard bodies they weren't able to be properly dissected and researched on by scientists.

Two years after the discovery of mutants, and dimensional beasts. The second and third dimensional rift containing the largest reserve of dimensional energy were discovered, putting the entire world in chaos.

Attempts to tap into this dimensional plane resulted in another mighty cosmic explosion. The cosmic radiation had now been released into the planets atmosphere, completely transforming those infected by it into strange mutants.

About 80% of the living creatures on earth were mutated. Having new characteristics that made them stand out amongst the population. Mutated animals, especially the ones with the stronger instincts of a predator became humanity's worst enemy.

The people infected by the cosmic energy either turned into intelligent mutant monsters(Variants), or humans with abilities(Mutants).

Dimensional creatures from different layers of the dimensional plane started to make their entrance into the world through the third dimensional rift.

Mutants which were the first and strongest group of mutated humans were deemed as a threat and hunted by Deviants all over the world.

Mutated beasts and plants ruled the land, air, and sea and the entire planet was plunged into absolute chaos!

----

"Hey, Felix! The movie is about to begin now!" A bald headed boy with the build of a greek god said. His name was Kyle, the strongest mutant in the room right now.

At the corner sat a little boy, no more than ten years of age. He had short black hair, a fair spotless face, and deep blue eyes which seemed to radiate boundless Intelligence and power.

He was wearing an oversized blue hoodie, and a pair of baggy jeans. His eyes were constantly peering out of the window. While a soft smile blossomed on his face.

His ears perked up immediately he heard the opening theme music of one of his favourite movies.

"Ready or not here it goes!" A tall slender girl in her teens, wearing a bright purple dress said as the rest of the kids including the boy with black hair ran to her. Her name was Nix, the group's elder sister.

She was the daughter of the building's owner, and one of the strongest mutant here. Nix was a mutant that wanted to help out in whatever way she can, she is tasked with looking after each and every mutant here.

The black haired boy was named Felix, he was an orphan with no home or family who managed to wind up here...

A home for all the homeless weird people in the world. Now he himself was classified as weird, and after seeing everyone here and checking himself, he was sure of it.

"Felix, come sit right next to me." A little boy no older than Felix called, his eyes glowed in anticipation to the movie which was about to begin.

The name of his movie they were about how watch was called 'Bloodlock', it was the best selling film in town.

Felix sat close to the boy, his name was Jacob. He had gold long curly shoulder length hair, red pupils and pointed ears.

Weird.

Jacob was another freak, but unlike Felix he still had a family looking out for him. He was the type that truly wants to make a difference in this broken world.

Felix had lived in this place for months, getting to learn about the various weird people all over the world.

He discovered that they were thousands of them... millions even. They were hunted by the world, but fought back with all they had.

There is no hero in this world, only those with power fighting for their own personal gain. Felix was just a single grain of sand on the coast.

One word had registered into his mind since the day he opened his eyes to meet an unforgiving world. Since he discovered his eyes were able to glow, and he was able to lift pieces of dirt with his mind.

Freak!

Felix craned his neck, hoping to get a better view of the screen as the movie progressed.

In the movie a tall man with a gymnastic build, wearing a long black cape, and pair of black pants was fighting against a rather odd looking creature with a long sword. Besides them was a little boy who was shivering from fear, and tightly hugging his legs with his head buried in his knees.

The strange creature with a humaniod build had spikes running up it's back, a large snout that would breath out fire or steam, large menacing horn and huge wings.

Felix smiled as he watched the main character finish off his beast in a single slash before picking up the child who was shivering at the corner and taking off.

'I wish I could be like him, then, I would be able to save everyone.' Felix naively thought as he kept watching the movie with great interest in his gleaming eyes.

The hero who jumped up into the sky, had started to glide in the air with the little child hugging his neck tightly.

Some of the kids leaked out astonished gasps, some smiled, while some had bored expressions, but most of them looked up to the character.

Halfway into the movie, sirens started blaring around them, multiple warning gunshots were fired into the air as screams and shrieks were heard soon after.

The bald headed boy glanced back, then, continued watching the movie as if nothing happened.

It was a common situation for the stupid human police to harass the populace in search of the 'hidden' mutants amongst them. It was so common that almost no one in the room even paid attention to what's happening.

Felix wanted to see what was going on, so he wrestled his way out of the cluster of children with a little goal in his head.

The screams, and shouts increased in volume as the sound of sporadic gunfire continued.

He peeked out of the window, then, his smile turned into a frown, his hands began to shake in anger. He clearly saw the perpetrators of the act, and he recognised them.

They were ten police vans parked recklessly around the street with multiple officers trooping out after one after another.

"They are here." Felix growled out as his eyes flickered in a strange light.

The police officers kept searching, but after a minute or so they left without any clue that what they were searching for was right before their eyes.

Felix ran back to the kids to continue watching his favourite movie. A smile was on his face as he set eyes on the television screen, completely forgetting about the cops he'd seen earlier.

Whir~~ Boom!

The bald headed boy turned to look back, his enhanced hearing told him everything. The police had returned with a stronger force and a borrowed mech.

The humanoid machine which had a build similar to Hulk let out a metallic growl as it slowly stomped it's feet towards the building where Felix, and the others were.

"Everyone, run to the basement now!" The tall slender girl named Nix yelled as she ran to the window in a blink.

The kids all dashed out of their seats in extreme haste after hearing the warning. Felix looked back, his heart was beating faster than ever as he saw the mech through the window.

"Surrender, or we will use excessive force." The male voice of a cop blared out from a megaphone. The mech took some steps forward as it lifted it's buster, and aimed at the school gate again.

The bald headed boy frowned, if that was a real mech, it could see through the gate and locate the mutants inside. The consequences would be very bad if something isn't done soon.

"Nix, go warn the grown-ups, we won't be able to take that mech alone." The bald boy said as he immediately stood from the seat with a frown on his face.

The tall slender girl dashed down the stairs. Her eyes glowed as her speed increased, she activated her mutant genes and in a blink she arrived at the basement below.

The bald headed boy had instantly transformed into some kind of humanoid tiger. His eyes were yellow, golden fur with shiny black stripes was all over his face and body. His shirt were ripped apart from the transformation, exposing his upper body.

"Surrender, or we will open fire!" The metallic voice came from within the mech as it began to power up it's buster. The cops backed away, a considerable distance away from the mech, aware of the destructive power behind a charged shot.

Nix told the older mutants who were talking in the basement about the situation outside. Her body were slightly shaking from fear and anxious, her eyes had stopped glowing, as she stopped using her abilities.

"Get the kids to safety. We'll handle those b*stards!" A fairly large man with the body of a hulking goliath ordered as he barged up the stairs with a frown on his face.

Suddenly a group of about twelve mutants ran outside after him, a single goal in their minds... It was to protect their only home!

The mutants engaged with the enemy ferociously, using their powers to it's best capabilities in order to capture victory!

Clang! Boom!

The battle was tough outside. Screams and explosions rang in Felix's head as he and the rest of the kids followed Nix into a room.

"I'll go join the grown-ups, don't step out of this room unless you have a death wish." Nix warned before running up the stairs with a grim look on her face.

"Will they die?" A little girl said silently. Her name is Lillian, the most beautiful little girl. She was no taller than Felix who was just four feet tall. Her green hair was tied back in a bun while she was wearing a short green shirt.

Felix shook his head. He believed in them, but he knew whenever something like the mechs appeared, mutants were badly hurt.

"Felix, you kno-" Jacob was interrupted mid-sentence by a sudden cry from his side.

One of the kids who was no more than six years of age had broken down in tears. His voice was low, but it seemed extremely loud to the other kids.

The little boy had scarlet red hair, and piercing blue eyes. He was wearing a plain blue shirt with a pair of black leggings.

Seeing this Felix steeled his nerves, and walked up to the kid. A smile found it's way to his face as he patted the kid on the head.

"Don't cry Jack. The adult mutants will surely send those troublemakers back to where they came from." Felix comforted the little boy with a calming smile.

Jacob let out a relaxed sigh. That was one of the sound mutants. His primary power was detonative voice. Once his mutant genes were active, his voice could literally blow up a building.

Felix proceeded to hug the little boy, telling him it's okay, and there was nothing to be worried about. Felix wasn't sure if it was the truth, but he had hope.

"Elder brother Felix, will those bad people be dealt with?" The boy said, clinging on to Felix's shirt with tears still dripping down his face.

"Yes, and if the grown-ups can't make them pay, then, I will." Felix said as his gaze turned fierce and his fists clenched.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

"They're trying to break the barrier!" Jacob whispered to Felix with a worried expression on his face.

"I can feel that too, you know!" Felix whispered back. His heart was racing, as he thought of everything that's happened in the past months.

He was living with his parents, and sister in a secluded house away from the humans. He discovered that his parents were special people with abilities, while he and his sister inherited their genes.

Felix discovered that he was the strangest in the family. His eyes weren't normal, as it glowed when his emotions began to escalate. Although many humans called him a freak because of his powers, he didn't care.

They lived a peaceful life for years, until a few months ago when an army of mechs raided the city. Many mutants were killed, including his parents.

His sister was lost in the chaos, while he was left orphaned and homeless. He struggled for weeks before finally being found by some mutants.

He was then taken here... The Mutant School, aka, the school of freaks.

"I hope that nothing happens to the adults." Jacob said as he lowered his head and clenched his fists.

Outside a heated battle was going on. The mutants were fighting for their lives, using all they had to eliminate the enemy.

"Absolute Flame Control!" A tall big chested woman had snapped her fingers. Flames erupted around her, making her look like an unbeatable goddess of flames.

A skill only the fire-based mutants can learned. The ability to use flames in any way possible. The woman then thrust out her arm, shooting out a fist sized fireball at the mech.

The fireball ruthlessly blasted up on the mech's face, making it stagger back a few steps as it fired off random shots which destroyed various cars and poles around them.

Nix was using her speed ability to appear all over the battlefield. Her incredible speed allowed her to kite the humans around, toying with them until they collapsed due to heat suffocation.

The police officers were finally being pushed back as numerous injuries were being inflicted on them. The mech was already severely damaged with one of it's arms ripped off by Kyle in his tiger form.

"You were just lucky..." The commanding officer spat before jumping in his van and zooming off, his face as black as coal.

The other cops immediately retreated after their leader, abandoning their weapons some other damage cars.

"The base will have to be moved." The big chested woman voiced her thoughts out loud as the flames burning on her body died down.

"We can't just move now! The other humans will discover us immediately we step out of the barrier." The bulky man roared out in protest. Although he was strong he still had a brain.

"Then we'll have to fight. Their forces are growing stronger by every passing moment, we can either defend or attack before we're completely wiped out." Nix voiced out her thoughts with a frown on her face as she clenched her fists.

HAHAHAHAHA!

The loud booming laughter triggered the agitated mutants as all of them immediately activated their genes, only to be frozen as petrified statures after seeing the man who laughed.

Thud... Thud... Thud...

Nix lowered her head as she saw who approached her, not daring to look up. The others also bowed their heads in respect.

"Nix, do you want to fight back?" A huge tall man said. He was about eight feet tall, his body was extraordinarily huge and his well chiseled arms were extraordinarily sturdy.

War-mutant Skycolm!

"Yes, father." Nix replied with her head lowered as she clenched her fists even tighter, as her eyes flashed in a dark light.

The giant before her who was named Skycolm, was the head mutant of their base and his power was what kept them safe to this day. He was the only mutant in the city who single-handedly conquered a large army of Variants attempting to destroy the base.

Skycolm felt something he hadn't felt in years from his daughter... A fighting spirit, a fire that cannot be extinguished, a will to finally face those opposing your goals.

He wanted to go out, and fight against all those filthy bastards, but he had to stay here and defend his mutants. If his daughter wants to eliminate the threat in his place, so be it.

"I agree with you." Skycolm spoke out as he spread out his hands and turned his back to the shocked mutants, "Those idiots are becoming too bold and daring... a threat to our civilisation. We have to eliminate them."

Gasp...

Nix and the other leaders were shocked, for different reasons though. Nix was shocked because her father let her go easily. He didn't even try to rebutt her or convince her to stay like she expected.

Fuck, she even prepared a speech to back her plea!

The others were shocked because the father had finally acknowledged the enemies and sent his own daughter to eliminate them!

'Does he really have so much confidence in me?' Nix thought as her eyes glowed in a courageous light.

"But I won't allow you to go now. It'll be like walking you into a trap." Skycolm sighed, then, continues, "Only when you have the strongest mutant team, will I let you walk out of the school."

"I will not fail you father!" Nix smiled as she bowed to her father.

"Well, I guess we should start training them harder." The bald headed boy said. He was already in his human form, with his bare golden skin glistening in the moonlight.

"We'll need the strongest by my side, of course we'll train those mutants harder than ever. That doesn't mean we should slack off, we will also need to train harder, Kyle." Nix added as she raised her head, and glanced at Kyle.

Kyle, the bald headed boy nodded slowly as his gaze turned fierce. The world was a horse place, and the weak were only allowed to suffer there.

If they wanted to survive, then, the strong and only the strong could step out into the world. Mutants need strength to back themselves up, and project the people endangered because of their existence.

'We all need to get stronger...'

Inside the basement. Felix and the other kids had relaxed. The enemy were defeated quickly. They watched in glee as the attackers ran away with their tails in between their legs.

Felix and Jacob overheard the entire discussion. The words 'get stronger' sunk into both their minds, as they subconsciously clenched their fists. If they trained, them they'll be by their big sister's side when she goes on the mission, and be able to teach those scum a lesson.

Felix had made up his mind. The one, and only reason why he is in this place is fear. Fear of not being able to protect himself, not to talk of the people around him, fear of being unable to avenge the death of his parents... and all that fear comes from his weakness. Felix's eyes flashed ferociously as he clenched his fists...

Humans? Mutants? Variants? Deviants?

As long as they're not on my side, I'll destroy them all! Being too ruthless? Being too merciless? I dare you to say that again!

'I will become the strongest mutant!'
