Morning sunlight poured into the room, bathing August in its golden glow as he emerged from deep meditation. His face bore a serene expression, devoid of otherworldly thoughts. Opening his eyes, he felt an overwhelming surge of energy coursing through his body.

The mana pulsing through his entire body from the small mana core within him. He can feel that he could guide the mana anywhere he wants inside his body.

Every human possesses a basic form of mana but lacks the ability to control elemental mana. This is where tamed beasts come in; they have the innate ability to manipulate elemental mana. Humans can form contracts with these beasts, allowing them to harness their abilities in battles against other creatures.

August recalled that when he was forming his mana core, he received several system notifications indicating the unlocking of certain features.

"What the hell?" August couldn't help but curse at the system. Especially after seeing the penalty of the quest.

He has to go bald for the rest of his life? Why would anyone want that? He is only 15 years old, He doesn't even have a girlfriend.

He clicked 'yes' to accept the quest; after all, he didn't want to reject his first quest, and he was planning to go to school anyway.

August got disappointed but quickly recovered when he saw his profile showing his mana rank had reached 1st place. He was thrilled and couldn't wait to unlock his beast space and form a contract with a powerful beast. Just thinking about it made him grin from ear to ear.

" Brother did you wake up?" Lily came running to the room.

"Yeah! why?" he answered Lily

"Oh nothing mom asked me to wake you up" saying it Lily escaped from the room

'Did he get hit in the head why was he grinning like an idiot?' Lily thinking something is wrong with her brother she started to get worried.

August closed the system interface and left his room to prepare for school. After getting dressed in his school uniform and freshening up, he went to the dining table where his mother was preparing their breakfast.

"Oh, you're here, Aug," Sophie said, spotting her son as August took a seat and started eating his breakfast.

"Are you prepared for today's ceremony?" Sophie asked her son

"Yeah I am" August replied in confidence

"Good, don't worry. Even if you don't awaken in there, we are here for you" Sophie stated encouraging her son to not get disappointed.

"Yeah! Mom and I will protect you" Lily declare with a mouthful of food.

"Don't speak with food in your mouth! that's not ladylike" Sophie scolded Lily

August smiled at his family and vowed to get higher ranking beast space.

After arriving at school, the entire class was guided into the hall, where all ceremonies were held.

The teachers and principal were in discussion with visitors from the association.

Among them was a formidable-looking man holding a blue sphere, the artifact used to unlock the soul space. By his side stood a Steelfang Wolf, an upper rank 3 beast. Beast tamers are ranked based on the highest rank of their beasts.

The principal stepped forward to deliver a speech, followed by the man holding the artifact who introduced himself and then proceeded to give instructions to the students to form a circular pattern.

Everyone, including August, sat on the floor making a circular pattern. In the center of them was the man holding the artifact.

"Hey" Blake, who was sitting next to him, called him.

he replied "Yeah?"

"The bald baboon has come out of his cave" Blake making fun of the principal.

Two of them staring at each other barely holding their laughter glanced at the principal whose head was shining.

"Pfft" a laughter escape out of August.

"Silence!" The man shouted, commanding everyone to quiet down.

"Now, listen carefully. This is the Soul Awakening Artifact, which will grant you the opportunity to become a Beast Master."

"When I activate the artifact, all of you need to focus on the energy transmitted through it, known as soul energy."

"The amount you can absorb depends on the potential of your soul. The higher your ability to absorb soul energy, the greater your beast space will be."

"So, give it your all." With that, the man activated the artifact.

A wave of soul energy washed through every student, causing them to focus on absorption.

August could feel the soul energy entering his body, reaching for his soul.

The system started to absorb the soul energy near August, creating a vortex..

He could feel a faint connection to a cosmos where nothing existed, then a small chunk of soil appeared, slowly taking the shape of a floating island.

"Interesting," the association instructor stared at August in shock as he absorbed vast amounts of soul energy. To think someone with this much potential was here.

After 30 minutes, August received the quest completion notification.
