In a modest house nestled within the bustling suburbs of Sunrise City, a boy with jet-black hair lay sound asleep in his room. Gentle breeze passed through the window tousling his hair slightly.
The room door opened slightly and exposed a purple head checking if the boy was sleeping. The girl with purple hair with an extremely cute face silently slipped inside like a cat. Clutching her mother's makeup case in her tiny hands. She couldn't resist flashing a wicked grin as she tiptoed closer to her slumbering brother, plotting her mischievous act.
Minutes passed, and her amusement grew. With a suppressed giggle, she snapped the makeup case shut and assessed her escape route towards the door. But before making her escape, a mischievous glint sparkled in her eyes. Leaning in close, her playful expression transformed into a mischievous grin. She took a deep breath, preparing for the ultimate prank. And then, with all the dramatic flair she could muster, she let out a ridiculously exaggerated, high-pitched scream right next to her brother's ear.
"You lazy, good-for-nothing fat pig, wake up!" she screamed in an over-the-top manner, her voice hitting a comically high note that would even wake up the neighborhood.
Her brother nearly fell off his bed, shocked and disoriented. Half-asleep, he heard the giggling of a girl and immediately sprang into action. The girl started running towards the door, and he chased after her, fueled by a mix of anger and adrenaline. "You little witch!" he shouted, determined to catch her.
As Lily approached the kitchen, believing it to be her ultimate place of safety, August roared, "I will capture you, little witch!" Seeing him getting closer, Lily quickly sought her mother's help. "Mom, help me!" she shouted, feeling the urgency of the situation.
In the middle of chasing, August froze in his tracks as he caught sight of his mother standing there with her hands on her hips. Her hair was black, adorned with purple tips. Lily quickly sought refuge behind their mother, wasting no time in mocking August. The intimidating glare from their mother sent shivers down the spines of both siblings.
Sophie fixed her gaze upon the girl who was behind her, her eyes lingering on the vibrant purple hair, the captivating purple eyes, and the undeniably cute face. But when her gaze shifted towards her son, a wave of uncontrollable laughter threatened to escape her lips. The sight of his face, smothered in makeup, revealed that he had become an unwitting victim of his sister's mischievous prank.
"Is there something on my face?" August asked, seeing his mother's reaction, thinking something was not right.
August hastily dashed towards the bathroom, desperately needing to confront the consequences of his sister's mischievous act. His reflection in the mirror now resembled a nightmarish clown. Overwhelmed with frustration, he couldn't suppress his anger any longer and unleashed it upon his cunning sister, screaming at the top of his lungs, "You little demon, you'll pay for this!"
Taking a deep breath, August splashed cool water on his face, revealing his handsome features jet-black hair and captivating piercing blue eyes. He sighed in relief seeing the makeup got removed by a splash of water.
August emerged from his shower, feeling refreshed and ready for the day ahead. He swiftly changed into his school uniform and headed to the dining table. As he entered, his eyes fell upon Lily, who was already seated, diligently enjoying her breakfast. Her uniform was neatly adorned, and her hair was neatly tied up in a ponytail. The delicious scent of pancakes wafted through the air.
Unable to resist the opportunity for mischief, August approached Lily with a mischievous grin. "It's payback time," he declared, playfully ruffling her hair. However, Lily's reaction was swift and fierce, resembling that of a startled cat whose tail had been stepped on. Pouting, she turned to her mother for help. "Mom, he's teasing me," she complained. Their mother, recognizing the potential for their playful banter to escalate into a full-blown skirmish, intervened and warned them, "No fighting."
As August savored his breakfast, his gaze shifted to the empty seat beside him—a constant reminder of his father's absence. His father, an intrepid explorer of ancient ruins, had vanished without a trace five years ago during an expedition. Noticing the somber atmosphere, Lily, ever the spirited one, interjected with a cheerful tone, "Today's pancakes are exceptionally fluffy and delicious!" Her attempt to lift the mood was met with a tender smile from their mother, who responded, "Would you like another one, dear?" Lily's face lit up, and she eagerly nodded, her focus shifting to the delectable treat in front of her.
"Where is Mooie? I haven't seen her since last night" Lily inquired about her mother's plant elemental beast pet.
"Oh, she's completely exhausted from healing an injured beast yesterday. She used up all her mana in the process, so she's currently recovering in the beast space," Sophie replied with a sigh.

Glancing at the clock, which read 8:30 am, Lily realized the urgency of the hour. She swiftly exclaimed, "Oh no, it's getting late! Goodbye, Mom!" With a quick wave, she darted off, her nimble feet propelling her towards the door. August, still lost in his thoughts, snapped out of his reverie and called after her, "Wait for me!" Determined not to be left behind, he chased after his sister.
Their mother's voice followed them, filled with both love and concern, "Take care, my darlings. Have a wonderful day!"
