247 Chapter 245- Harmonous breakfast

Next day morning:

"Have you got a report of the Austria mission?" Rizi yawned as she covered her mouth with the back of her left hand.

She felt tired and sleepy.

"Yes, the safe house is clear!" Zain replied as he pulled a chair for her to sit on.

They were currently in his dining room, and as hardly slept for a few hours, Rizi felt sleepy and tired.

Rizi plopped her butt on the chair and yawned again as she stretched her limbs.

Zain turned around and occupied his usual seat which was ironically next to her.

The table has a spread of breakfast with scrambled eggs, juice, pancakes, waffles and coffee.

Rizi turned her head to look for Leo.

Leo was already up, freshen up, well-fed and out in the garden playing with Anthony!

Rizi could see him and Anthony chasing after a ball as they both kick and play with it.

She was just so sleepy, she didn't realise Zain has already filled her plate with pancakes and scrambled eggs.

She picked up her fork and questioned, "oh, does that mean we were wrong about Jason's grandfather?"

"No! That place was scouted by NSA and there's the reason it was listed as one of the bases! They clear it out before we would reach them!" Zain shared all the updates he had received so far from Baldy and his team as he proceeded with his breakfast.

"I want to go through the report and also belongings as soon!"

"Very well!"

They both immersed themselves in breakfast. There was silence but it was not awkward. Their behaviour was as normal as it could be and they both were at ease in each other's presence.

After a whole minute of silence, someone cleared his throat!

"Ahem, am I in a parallel universe or did the time lapse happen?"

Rizi lifted her head and turned towards the source of the voice stunned, Abby, Zack, Francesco, Ethan and Ace were seated around the dining table with their jaw dropped open.

Rizi squinted her eyes and pinched Zack who had muttered those words earlier. She was tired and sleepy. That's why she failed to see the audience sitting right in front of her. All of them gaped at her and Zain.

"Owww!! What was that for!" Zack rubbed his hand where she had punched harshly and again cleared his throat, "Fran, it's not a parallel universe! It is the same one. Maybe time-lapse happens!"

"You are right! Something happened!" Fran squinted his eyes at Zain who ignored him and continued to read his newspaper while having his breakfast. He was not bothered at all. Sometimes ignorance is bliss!

Rizi scowled at Zack for making her embarrassed, "You, just wait!"

"Yada Yada! We are waiting for quite some time now. 4 minutes 38 seconds to be precise! Explain yourself! How come this happened?" Zack asked as he motioned between her and Zain.

"What did we miss?" Abby chirped excitedly.

"Exactly, what did we miss?" Francesco decided to turn towards Rizi as Zain didn't bother to respond. What a block of wood! But again, he knew Zain. It was expected of him.

The only person who could break his composure was sitting right next to him and although the gossipmonger in him was dying was juicy details, he was so damn happy.

Not him, all people seated around the table were so darn happy to see the progress between them.

Assistant Han aka Ethan just shook his head at the other three's childlike behaviour. He continues with his breakfast.

Ace had a wide smile plastered on his face as he looked at Rizi in awe. She was beautiful and right with so relaxed and lazy behaviour she appeared seductive!

"Before I hang you upside down, close your mouth, Ace!" Zain spoke suddenly without even bothering to look at Ace. He could read his thought a sit was plastered all over his face.

She looked ethereal and beautiful! But he couldn't just allow others to ogle her in his presence.

"C'mom boss! Lady boss is such a beauty! I could help but admire!" Ace answered with a pout!

"You thought the same about me the first time!" Abby rolled her eyes at this man-child called Ace.

"Don't be jealous! I still admire you—oww!" Then he turned towards Ethan who had hit him in the leg as he scowled, "what was that for?"

"Shut it and eat!" Ethan rolled his eyes.

Abby blew a kiss in Ethan's direction and he choked on his food and tried to ignore her.

Then she turned towards Rizi, "We are happy for you Zi! Details could wait but we are happy!"

Zack smiled in her direction and turned towards Rizi, "Big sis, me too!"

Before Rizi could realise it, she was enveloped in a side hug one side by Zack and the other side by Abby.

Rizi chuckled at these two kids but wrapped her arms around both of them. But she loves them both.

Fran turned towards Zain when their gaze met, and then he mouthed, "can I hug you too?"

Zain mouthed back, "don't even think about it!"

Fran snorted and then shamelessly stood up and hug the trio, "sorry can't help it. I needed a hug!"

Everyone laughed out loud.

Zain glared daggers at Francesco who was in a group hug with Abby, Zack and Rizi.

Zain couldn't hold himself any longer, "let her breath!"

All of them parted and chuckled.

"Ok now. I am sleepy and hungry!" She muttered but she felt grateful for her friends.

Everyone went back to their seat and the atmosphere turned harmonious.

"I know you all are curious! But we are still evaluating ourselves. The grudges we want to leave behind and move on! But it's still an adjusting phase for both of us! A lot had happened in our lives and between us, so I guess things take time!" Rizi gave a simple explanation of their situation.

Zain couldn't help but squeeze her hand under the table as assurance then went back to his business I.e. reading newspapers and eating breakfast.

They were not yet together and they were still sorting out their emotions. But it was a big progress on their part. They both are mature enough now and slowly but steadily things will move in the right direction.

Rizi glanced at Zain from her side eye when she felt him squeeze her hand lightly as assurance. It warmed her heart.

Zain continues with his business. Nothing can ruffle his feathers. Except for her and Leo!

They all enjoyed their breakfast when the butler entered, "Sire! Mr Pereira is here."
