Isn't It Good, Human Lives Are Completely Worthless To Me?

Rylex frowned in deep thought as she glared down upon Syx who was struggling to stand up, and with a deeper frown on her face, she offered her hands. After propping up the dragon girl she began to think.

"So, Death has already arrived here and has already begun sending forth his followers?" Rylex asked, her tone was a bit graver than usual as she glanced to the side with a distant gaze and a strange expression on her face, being in deep thoughts.

As she had mentioned before to Jack, one of the most annoying aspects of a true god wasn't just their mere strength or powers alone. Their most annoying ability is related to the massive amount of crazed fanatics of "true faith" they have built under them.

These fanatics have no qualms in laying down their lives for the glory of their gods, and hopes of entering the afterlife. They were a very annoying group for someone like Jack to face alone with his current capabilities.

Rylex raised a brow, it would be very nice if she was to call forth her own followers in retaliation, but it was a tad bit unwise in this situation. Revealing her stance too early, may lead to numerous consequence.

Another all out battle of gods across the heavens was very probable, and with that comes the loss of many followers, lives and realms. It was this same reason that none of the elder gods had boldly stepped out to grab Jack and do whatever they want with him.

"What do you suggest we do? If we don't make a move soon, them many things would be in danger, not excluding my own life and the life of those currently with Jack." Syx spoke in a hurried tone, her face still pale and eyes a bit bloodshot.

"I suggest us taking out bus followers one by one first before we build a suitable plan of action. Acting rash out of fear would only speed up your demise." Rylex spoke, stressing the "your" with deep emphasis as she stared down upon the short dragon girl.

"All I need is a stable source of energy, I need to gain more strength incase of the scenario where he gets bored and dashes her in an attempt to finish me off!"

Rylex stared at Syx speechlessly, after a while she shook her head and to floating away without looking back. Her floating speed was relatively slow, so as to allow Nyx follow her.

"Tsk, it seems like the followers of the death god are a bit impatient this time. Daring crowd around the mansion from numerous locations."

Syx was stunned.

"You can see them already? I lost my eyes after my descent, and can't see them for myself even though I want to." Syx muttered to herself after a while with her head bowed down to the ground.

Although she can no longer remember it vividly, she faintly remembers the feeling of her eyes burning in a strange ungodly flame as she was cast down from the heavens. Her true form was badly injured, and she had to resort to using her human body.

Being cast down from the realm of god back to that of mortal was something only an elder god could carry out. It was a terrifying power that all true gods grew to fear without the ability to comprehend it.

Losing her eyes, body, and a huge fragment of her soul was a very painful experience. An experience brought upon herself, by her swearing loyalty to him.

The both of them, like two female spirits, began to float through all obstacles and past guards as they moved. Soon, the duo found themselves hovering together under the moonlight without speaking.

After a long while of silence, Rylex finally spoke up in a soft voice as she gazed off into the distance, her eyes settling upon a star in the distance. She smiled and opened her mouth to speak,

"If you were given a chance to meet him again, would you watch him fight against truth with a blatant lie? Would you have let him harbor the belief he could go against his creator?"

Syx shook her head without hesitation, her eyes settling on the same star Rylex was glaring at, "If I had known how things would turn out, I would have crippled him. Anything to keep him alive."

Rylex smiled warmly, "Elder sister liked him a lot you know? His death was a devasting blow to her, and she shrank away into seclusion. It was very, painful for her to lose him."

"Another has been born, in order for history not to repeat itself I hurried over here. It was a great risk I took, anything to ensure he doesn't wake up one day with the thought of wanting to overthrow the creator."

Syx glanced at the side of Rylex's face, her gaze warm for a split second before returning to it's emotionless and strangely void state. She then glanced at a crowd of men and women beneath her.

Rylex glared down upon all of them as she raised an arm, her eyes remained as calm as water as she dropped her raised arm. After a while, she looked down upon the men and women who seemed to be in a discussion.

—Holy Punishment! If an enemy does not repent and commit their souls to nirvana, then it is only right for them to be put to rest after their final punishment.

Before Syx could blink, all the men and women had exploded into bloody pieces that rained upon the pavements, on the walls and all over the road.

The blood that rained down after the explosion was a very dark shade of purple unlike normal blood. Bloody entrails and gore lied around the road, corroding away at a very fast pace.

"Hehe, isn't good that these kind of corrupted human lives… Are completely worthless to me?"
