23 Cannot Restrain It

Jack glanced at the towering "beast" driving besides him with a deep frown on his face, his eyes gleaming in a strange light as he spun his steering to the left - driving his car away from the loose sand land lane.

The "Beast" which was driven by @Burning Glaciers, also swayed to the side after Jack, the sound of spiked tires tearing through the sand, metal and trash wasn't pleasant to hear in the slightest.

Jack frowned upon seeing that the idiot had given chase, he felt like strangling the guy in his dreams!

"This move of the enemy is very annoying to me who wants to reach the top as fast as possible…"

Jack's eyes were bloodshot as he spoke to himself, he calmed himself and continued,

"With a car as huge as that, it must have weak down force… That is that, if it was cast into the sky - it would be very difficult for it to balance itself."

Jack was a bit confused as to how he would be able to toss such a car into the air. After a while of thinking, his mind wandered to the mines - and he remembered how powerful they were against the others.

"Hmm, driving the car into the mines would not be easy even if I had him under some sort of pull or restraint to drag him along with me." He spoke to himself in a soft voice, his gaze settled upon the surveillance screens, and the car giving chasing.

Jack felt like pulling his hair out, after a while he began to calm himself down - a calm mind, a cool mind was the bedrock of numerous brilliant and useful ideas in any situation he finds himself.

First things first, he would need to escape the "beast bashing into his car" scenario, which means he'd have to raise speed and try overtaking the beastly car with all he had - it wouldn't be easy having a monstrosity like that bash directly into his car, but he had to try.

Jack increased his speed at once, forcing his car to jerk forward uncontrollably as it picked up speed. He glanced at the side of his car as he spun the steering, swerving the vehicle to the side after a while.

This sudden action stunned the driver of the "beast" who was then forced to make a quick, but difficult turn in a order to give chase. The roundabout turn made by the beast was very slow, allowing Jack to broaden the gap between them, a heavy trail of ice between both of the two cars - Bugatti and Beast.

After making the turn with much difficulty, the beast began to drive off at a terrifying pace - quickly tearing through the ice and dirt, the grating noise becoming more prominent by the minute, loud and crisp.

"Damn it, the bastard has overtaken me! I should have just remained on my lane, pretending to mind my business - and ram into him at the last minute."

There was no pill for regret, and all @Blazing Glaciers could do was toughen up his resolve and keep driving without slowing down. He just needed to find an chance, and everything would be settled.

——

Jack kept driving at, he'd dusted dozens of racers now and was finally in a whole new terrain of the same racing track. His eyes narrowed as he glared upon the arena with a visible coldness in his gaze.

The new terrain was a sea of spiked trash and rubbish with an elevating bridge at the middle. The sides of the bridge had no security, and there was a chance one could accidentally fall off if they weren't careful.

"Is this the way the plot favours me?" Jack wondered to himself with glistening eyes, he didn't waste time in speeding towards the bridge a plan taking form in his head - a very dangerous, but fulfilling plan.

He was going to coat the entire bridge with a thick layer of ice, and why would he do that? It wasn't an attempt to stop the "beast" in the slightest, but the poor guy who had annoyed Jack ever since the race begun - @Once A Shadow.

"Hahahaha!" Jack laughed internally as he drove with his car's speed picking up at a terrifying pace, it's speed reaching a wowing rating of 150 mph as he drove up the bridge made up of a strange kind of blue metal.

He looked behind himself to see the "beast" still after him with a startling conviction, the relentless chase of @Burning Glaciers made Jack think back to most of the books he'd read where the hero would chase down the villain for all eternity until he brought justice to a certain individual or group of individuals.

So pathetic, for him to think he can catch up to me with that kind of vehicle after my luck- I mean, my well thought out and honourable escape, he must be either a fool or a foolish idiot - does it make sense? If not, then that's exactly what his actions are.

"Hmph! As far as there aren't any wild turns or twists on this bridge, I'm sure that I would be fine." With this thought harboured in his heart, Jack became a bit less relaxed than normal, "Jinxing it? Hmph, practically impossible!"

Just as Jack drove to a certain height, a strange eerie coldness descended upon him and his heart skipped beats. His mind suddenly went back to his parents, and the big target painted on his back—

 "Wait, something was definitely wrong!"

—Suddenly, Jack was overwhelmed with a sudden sense of weightlessness. He glanced from side to side, and noticed that he was no longer ascending, but the exact opposite - he was actually descending at a fast speed!

Did the road end halfway? Holy! Jack felt as if he had been pummeled in the guts, he hadn't prepared for a scene where the track suddenly ends halfway! But, as he thought back to the tank behind him, and the ones who he had left his chilling gift for.

Although it was strange, he couldn't help but smile to himself. He was falling, but the thought of how this would favour him more, he just couldn't restrain it.
