Arthur was ready to dash off and kill the fat priest giving preaches on the stage, but then he looked at girl beside him.

In a second, all his anger, fighting spirit went down in a flush.

"Sigh. What to do with you?"

Arthur didn't want her to see him killing at such young age. He wanted to her to wait a bit here while deals with the priest in a flash.

But Violet wasn't letting his shirt from her hands.

'She is feeling insecure.'

What could he do? He grabbed her on his back and just like before made sure that she doesn't fall.

With a lightning cover all around him, Arthur flashed like a lightning and in a second he slashed the fat priest's neck.

"Die."

And disappeared from the stage.

"Hey did you see a lightning just now?"

It took a second, and then blood spurted out from priest like a fountain!

He came out of his daydreaming and started begging alms.

The old beggar looked down to see a pouch of gold coins in his begging plate. And just next to it was a note.

He opened the note and overwhelming tears started to come out of his eyes.

"So, what did you get?"

The old guild master was sipping tea while Arthur and Violet were sitting in front of him to talk about his recent mission.

"Yeah! I killed the demons and found the cause of it."

"The corpses?"

"Yeah. I have given the corpses to the Mary-san."

"Now. What's the cause?"

The old master put down his cup and looked at him seriously.

"It's a devil."

"Oh! It's a devi--- What a devil?!!"

"Yeah. A Devil. A humanoid demon."

The old master thinking that if he is saying a joke but when he saw Arthur's clear blue eyes, he sat down and told him to continue.

The old man smiled kindly and patted her head.

'Look at that! I thought he was monster, but he isn't much different from his age.'

The old master was shocked as he looked at Arthur who was acting cold despite having a red blush all over his face.

'Probably, he went through a lot to become like that.'

He thought all this time him as a monster, but he finally understood who Arthur was.

A normal child doing his best to live.

And then he looked at the girl who seemed to be expressionless but her eyes were also sparkling as she felt something new.

The old master could feel that both the girl and boy are somewhat similar yet very different.

He didn't thought much and continued teasing Arthur.

"Hahahahah!! Arthur! It's seems you also have days full of roses."
