22 Chapter_22

Sana and I finally arrived at our parents' house. We immediately split up and holed in our own rooms.

By the way, I had gotten the notebook I requested to Otou-san. I got it from Okaa-san when I returned home.

After I arrived at my room, I put my notebook on the table and turned it on.

As the notebook is booting up, I think about what I will do first. I have two options.

First, I can start creating supplementary programs to help me with hacking.

Second, I can start writing some fictional works from my previous life that never got published in this world.

Before long, the notebook is ready. I check out the installed applications and find that I lack the proper tools to start building the programs I need for my heist.

(I will buy a flash drive and download those applications in an internet cafe later. I suppose I will start writing now… it is quite the hassle that I have no internet connection here.)

In the end, I choose to write.

For a few hours, I work undisturbed.

Haruka never mailed nor called me because she was busy with her workloads. Meanwhile, Sana is holing up in her room, doing who knows what.

Knock! Knock!

I stop writing when someone knocks on to my door.

"Sei-kun. The dinner is almost ready. Okaa-san told me to call you."

Sana called me from outside.

"I heard you!"

"Have you taken a bath?"

"Not yet."

"If you don't mind, you can use Sana's leftover. It is still hot."

I look at the door in bemusement. I am not sure if Sana notices the teasing material that she just gave me.

Probably not.

Even though she is sharp, she has her moments of carelessness. She is just like the reverse of Haruka, who is usually pretty careless but has her moments of being thoughtful and sharp.

"Alright. I'll use it. Thanks."

"Sana will be in the kitchen helping Okaa-san."

Lately, Sana often helped Okaa-san in the kitchen.

I can see her effort to be better after our distance got closer.

After that, I save my work and turn on the lighting. Even though it is not yet dark, the sky outside has turned golden. It is already sunset, and the night will come soon.

Then, I leave my room. I am only wearing a plain white T-shirt and my boxers.

I enter the washroom first to get my towel. Then, I enter the bathroom to take a dip into the hot water.

As I submerge in the water, I wonder if Sana masturbated here.

(No way! Although she is a hopeless brocon, who sometimes sniffed my used underwear, she is still innocent!)

I resolutely nod my head. I am not trying to trick myself. Sana is surprisingly still innocent.

A while later, I get off the tub and then walk off the bathroom. After drying myself, I wear fresh clothes and go to the kitchen.

When I enter the kitchen, I find that the dinner is ready. Everyone is here, even Otou-san, who often came home late due to his works.

We have a festive dinner as we chat our day.

After dinner ended, Otou-san goes to the living room to watch a TV program. Okaa-san is washing the dishes in the kitchen. Meanwhile, Sana and I return to our respective rooms.

Since school is off tomorrow, I will not accompany Sana in her study tonight. I plan to stay at Haruka's apartment.

Speaking of Haruka, she hasn't messaged nor called me.

Well, I will go to her place either way. Thankfully, she has given me the duplicate key of her apartment.

Several days passed leisurely. The end of the first semester's test is approaching. However, I am not stressed like other students.

After the class ended, I go to the Home Economics club alone.

"Pardon me."

I enter the room and immediately find Kanata already here. She is playing with her handheld game console.

"Hello, Seiji-san."

Kanata greeted me as she looked away from her handheld game console.

"Hello, Kanata-san. How are you?"

"I am fine. Where is Sana-chan?"

"I went there immediately after the class ended. She will be there soon."

"I see," said Kanata as she accepted my answer.

"So, what kind of game are you playing?"

I decided to have a chat with Kanata.

Since I visited that alternate future, I rarely had time alone with her. My time usually got spent with Haruka or Sana.

Kanata was one of my legal wives in that future. She also gave me a son.

I have been neglecting her even though our relationship is just that of two acquaintances and club mates.

I should have spent some of my free time with her. I must make the first move because Kanata is very passive.

She is being passive because she is trying to be considerate of Sana. At least, I thought so.

To tell you the truth, I cannot read Kanata at all. She is hard to read because of her private nature.

Even though I have ten years of memory living in that alternate future, I still have a problem with reading Kanata. I cannot read her as well as how I read the rest of my lovers.

It is troublesome…

"By the way, are you ready for the test? It will start soon…" I changed the topic after we chatted for a while.

Surprisingly, Sana hasn't arrived yet. Is she busy with her classmates?

Unlike me, who only have Fujimoto as a close friend, Sana does have many acquaintances to entertain.

"I am prepared," curtly replied Kanata.

I resist the urge to make a wry smile. Kanata is really a tough nut to crack. I already know this, though. Therefore, I am trying my best here.

"Really?"

"Well…" Kanata trailed off before speaking in a low tone, "At least, I am confident that I won't get failing marks."

I raise my brow at her confession. I do not think that Kanata is stupid. If she had below-average intelligence, she would not become a successful leader in a game company in those futures.

I suppose she is the type of student that only gets enough marks to pass and never gives her all because she is not interested.

"If you agree, you can join me and Sana in our study session," I offered.

I see this opportunity as something to get close to Kanata.

"May I?"

I nod my head.

"Then, thank you for your generous offer, Seiji-san."

"Don't mind it."

Suddenly, the door is opened. We see Sana entering the room.

"Sorry. Sana is late because her classmates needed Sana's help for something."

Kanata gives Sana a nod, accepting Sana's apology.

Meanwhile, I see an opportunity to tease Sana.

"Blaming classmates, aren't we?"

"What were you saying?! Sana never blamed Sana's classmates! Sana was saying the truth! Some classmates needed Sana's help, so Sana felt obligated to help!" Sana replied in agitation.

Then, Sana notices my amused expression and realizes that she has been had.

"Muuu… Sei-kun no Baka!" Sana complained and pouted in aggravation.

I just laugh off her complaint. Meanwhile, Kanata covers her lower face with her handheld game console, likely hiding her smile.

After that, we wait for Haruka to join us while having a chat.

Days passed in a flash. Every day after school ended, Kanata, Sana, and I holed up in the library. We would study together and revise the school's materials until the library got closed. Haruka sometimes visited and brought snacks for us. Fujimoto too often joined our study group.

Then, the end of the semester's exam began.

To be honest, I had no problems with the test. I could remember the school's subject as well as apply it to answer the quiz. I felt confident that I would ace everything.

And just as I expected, I ended up acing everything. The teachers were surprised and wondered if I cheated. However, I challenged them to find whether I was cheating or not.

In the end, they believed that I did not cheat after I answered their surprise quiz while being watched by them.

Well, enough about me.

Speaking of the members of my small study group, Kanata and Sana passed. They did not get 100% in their test. However, they got above-average marks. Meanwhile, Fujimoto had grades to pass without getting failing marks.

Now, I am in my room. I have finished my gaming session with Sana. I have asked and obtained my parents' permission to be away for a few days.

I am preparing for my trip to a hot-spring inn that Haruka planned for us before the test.

Of course, Haruka never told me where we will go. She said it is a secret, but I have my foreknowledge.

Admittedly, there is a chance that it will go differently from what I know. But, I am feeling confident about my assumption.

I put a change of clothes and various other things inside my bag. Then, I head out to Haruka's place on my bike.

After making sure that there is no one watching me, I safely park my bike and then use the spare key that I got from Haruka in the past to open the door to her place.

Shortly afterward, I heard the sound of the owner returning home.

"Welcome home, Haruka-san."

"Wha?!"

Seeing me welcome her back, Haruka seems somewhat moved as her eyes become a little bit teary.

"Seiji! Hup!"

Haruka hugs me at the entrance.

"Haruka, thanks for your hard work."

"Somehow, this is pretty nice! After you graduate, let's do this every day, okay?"

"Ahaha…after graduating, I still need to graduate from university before I can propose you. Then, we can do this every day."

"Muuu… That seems so long…"

"Don't worry. You know that your boyfriend is super smart. Since I am so motivated because of your existence and our future together, I will graduate early. Then, we can marry and have a family together."

Haruka gives me an inviting and alluring gaze.

In the future that I visited, that kind of gaze is a signal from Haruka, which tells me that she wants to have adult fun.

However, I resist the urge to succumb to my worldly desire. It is not the time to do it. I have promised that I will get into that base after I obtained Airi-san's permission.
