2 Skill Book
Two items were showing on the status window, Dave understood why he received the Skill Book but he never understood what the other item was.
In front of the Skill Book, there was an option to [Summon], but there was no such option in front of the item that had been symbolized as '???', The system showed that it was a [ Locked Item].
Dave summoned the Skill Book, and in front of him, several light particles appeared and formed into the shape of a book. The Book had a black cover with black pages, and over its cover was a design of a sun with a golden texture. Dave wasn't sure how many pages were there, it was a very huge book and there must be more than thousands of pages.
Dave opened the book, fortunately, the content was written in English. On the first page, a description was written about how to use this book.

The first human brought to this world wished for skills, it was something that only someone from earth can do. In this world, only humans have access to status windows for some reason.
Skills on the other hand can be used by other races as well which they call a blessing. However, because of the system windows, humans were able to grasp their powers better than others.
After turning another page Dave also found out how to use this skill book. He just needs to touch the cover of the book, and infuse mana to see the skills he is eligible to learn from the skill book.
He quickly places his hands on the cover and tried to channel mana into the book and saw the system window.

Dave was surprised to see only three skills were available but when he checked the requirements he finally understood why he can only learn these three skills.
He chose all three of the skills and clicked [ Learn the selected skill]. However, a warning popped up in front of him

Dave quickly realized his mistake and unselected these skills. He only had three slots and none of these skills were useful to him at the moment. He sighed and then started to check the skills that are currently unavailable but may be easily available if he somehow meets the requirements in the future.
Soon he found a page that mentioned [ Quest Reward Skills], He read the skills that were on that page. There were around thousands of such skills, and the requirement to unlock these skills was to complete a quest.
For example, the [ Heal] skill, as the name suggests can heal anyone but the requirements were to serve a god or eat fruit from the legendary world tree.
He scanned through the huge pages of the book and finally found some of the skills where the quest was easier.

There were other weapon-based skills, the best thing was that this skill can evolve as per his level and class.
' I should at least choose one from the available skills' Dave thought, ' Something is better than nothing
He got the same notification as before, after selecting from one of the available skills at the moment.

Whether or not this skill would be useful compared to the other two, he didn't know but he went with it because this world was a mystery to him. Having this skill will surely be useful to him in the future.

After he was finished checking his items and getting his first skill. Dave went to meet with Bushche, the dark-skinned priest who had saved him.
Fortunately, he was able to find Bushche easily as he sat in front of a crowd preaching about some god to people in his mansion. Dave waited for him to finish, and when Bushche was finally done, he walked towards him.
" Do you need help?" Bushche spoke, now a lot more fluently compared to before in just five days. Dave felt jealous because he wasn't able to learn the native language that others in the world spoke.
" I do need help, I just have some questions?" He replied.
" Alright" Bushche started to walk while carrying something like a Bible in his hand and Dave followed him.
" How can I increase my skill slots?" Dave asked.
" You can not increase them, every human can learn upto 3 skills, transmigrators can learn upto 8 skills and a person with a superior class like Hero or Saint can learn even more skills," Bushche answered, and then asked a question of his own. " How many slots do you have?"
Dave was shocked to learn this, if this was true then he would only be able to learn 5 more.
" I currently have 5 empty slots, and a total of 6 slots" Dave answered.
" You told me that you didn't have any skills, but your answer means you were able to gain one just recently, right?" Bushche asked but Dave just ignored him.
" Can you teach me basic swordsmanship?" Dave asked.
" No, I don't wield a sword." Bushche answered, " I am against teaching you anything."
" W-why?" Dave asked, surprised by what his benefactor had said.
" You bear resentment towards us, teaching you may cause a problem for us in the future" Bushche answered clearly and then added, " I helped you because my faith would never allow me to abandon someone in need."
" I never needed your help, I could have easily survived on my own." Dave lashed out, he was dragged here, and he never asked for help. Bushche replied to him but said something weird.
" I saw your death with my eyes, that is why I dragged you here"
