Dave's ears were bleeding listening to her ranting about facts. He has lost count of how much time had passed since she started to lecture him. At this moment, he wanted to run away from her, Dave was sure that he was going to have nightmares about her because she was just that scary.
" I understand, please, ...can we stop with the lecture!" Dave gave up.
" I am not lecturing you, I am stating the facts." Iris's replied and then sits back on his chair.
" ...So Where's the Information about these Monsters?" Dave spoke.
" You!" She screamed because her lecture seemed to not have affected him at all.
Dave and Iris spend the rest of the day doing some paperwork, where Dave just followed the instructions given to him by Iris and audited the documents before signing them. Oscar was running a business selling Soul Cores of the monsters, and now he was trying to shift that role into this branch. Some of the transactions were being handled by this guild, so if anyone at this time wanted to buy a Soul Core they often got in contact with Iris, and thus she had so much work to do.
He wondered if she normally does this kind of work daily but why would she go that far for Oscar?
He went to her and showed them the documents...
" Alright, you can leave now." She spoke.
' Wait, I am the Manager and you are the assistant. Who are you to tell me?' He thought as he looked at her still working.
She was writing an appeal that is going to be submitted to the Public guild on the matter of Guild license.
" ...Can you make something for me to eat? I am sorry we didn't have lunch today but I am still not yet with these documents!" She requested and looked at Dave.
" Why do you even work so hard?" He said and then smilingly added, " Alright, I don't mind."

Dave summoned his Skill Book to check the skills that has been unlocked so far. In the last two months, he had seen various notifications about unlocking some skills but had forgotten to check some of them.

Now there were 10 skills available for him to choose from, He was surprised to see 2 more skills related to Death. However, he was reluctant to choose from these. he doesn't need his enemy to suffer more, gladly he didn't have anyone who he hated that much. [Heart of death] would have been useful but so far he can only use death energy to enhance his stats, so he didn't need it.
Speaking of stat, there was another skill [ Heroic] that he had unlocked which can help him gain stats. It would have been an amazing choice if he didn't have [ Mark Of Death]. Also, this skill requires him to become a person who always does heroic acts to gain a stat.
In the end, his attention was grabbed by one skill...
[ Hint], From its description, it sounded very useful. Dave knew that he could easily become one of the strongest men in this world using the things he had. What if he finds a way to increase his skill slots? What if he gains a class? He had all these questions but didn't know how.
' I will select this one, let's take the risk even if it turns out to be useless.' Dave thought and added the skill to his last slot.

" What The Helllllllll?" Dave screamed after seeing that notification but calmed down after seeing the next notification.

If the skill slot was empty, can't he just select this skill again?
Dave tried to select the skill again but another notification popped up in front of him.
[ Same skill can not be learned from the skill book]
' What do I do now?' He thought.
[ (???) has selected ' Explorer']
[ Congratulations you have gained a new skill]
" Hey, what do you think you are doing?" He shouted but got no reply. The item was doing whatever he pleased.
" Consume this skill, I don't want this," Dave spoke but got no reply, the item was unable to reply to him.
After throwing a fit several times and cursing at the item, Dave calmed down and sat on the ground, and checked his newly gained skill.

This wasn't a very useful skill according to Dave. He wanted something that will help him get stronger without using [ Mark Of Death], after (???) consumed [ Hint], the next best option was [ Heroic] but that damn item chose [ Explorer] skill for him.
That night Dave was burning with rage against that (???) item.
