" Demiurge, I want to have a book in which we can record all of the skills." A voice resounded in a black space.

After losing consciousness Dave found himself in a weird place surrounded only by darkness. He kept hearing voices but they were not clear up until now. This was the first sentence he had heard clearly.

" Humans desire for the weirdest things..." Another voice resounded, this time it didn't sound like a human. It felt like someone had used a voice filter while speaking.

" It's not weird if we are creating a fantasy world!" The voice from before resounded once again, it was the voice of a young man. He was hearing weird things but it had something to do with the Skill Book. Was he here because of the Skill Book? And Why was he here? For a moment he thought that he was dead, but he dismissed that scary thought.

" What is happening?" Dave finally spoke up, " Where am I?"

He was confused because he had been here for hours and was unable to move at all. Unable to see anything except for the pitch-black darkness, Dave tried to move but he found himself still paralyzed. Maybe someone had kidnapped him and kept him in some dark place, and that would also mean the others were dead as well.

[ I was watching your memories, you are not dead or kidnapped by someone]

" What? Are you speaking to me?" Dave questioned to confirm whether this new voice was speaking to him or not. The voices that he had heard before were probably not talking to him so he had to confirm if this time someone spoke to him.

[ Yes, Dave Mord, I am speaking to you]

This voice addressed him by his name.

" Where am I? What are you?" Dave asked and added," Why am I here?"

[ I, Myself, Don't know what I am, I have been with you since the day you came to this world, and my knowledge is limited to what you know about yourself and some other things as per my observations]

[ You are currently in your consciousness since I have taken over your body and I am currently, healing it]

" You took over my Body!" Dave spoke, shocked by what the voice said.

[ Don't worry, I haven't possessed it for forever]

[ Also, I was not able to talk with you before. It seems consuming those items was a good choice after all]

" What do mean consume the items?...wait, are you that Mysterious (???) item?" Dave asked. An item that could speak, It was possible since that item had also been with Dave since the day he was kicked out of the palace.

[ Yes, I am that mysterious item, But, after thinking a lot about it, I am an intelligent being so I don't think I would love being called an item]

" Then, what do I call you?" He asked.

[ We can decide that later]

[ I think it's about time you take control of your body ]

[ I have healed it to a degree that you might be able to move normally with just a little pain]

" Oh, Thank you but how did you do it?" Dave asked.

[ I just used the Mana in your body to preserve and trigger your innate ability to regenerate, Mana can be used to enhance various capabilities of humans as per my observation]

" How do you know that if you are just barely 3 months old?" It didn't make sense to Dave that the mysterious item knew more than he does.

[ I have been experimenting with the thing called system, trying to take over it. I was able to extract some information front there]

Another thing that didn't make sense, but Dave ignored it. He had to focus on what was important now.

" So, How do I get my body back?"

[ Yeah, we went off from the important topic, there is no need for you to do anything, I will give you possession of your body]

[ However I don't think, I will be able to talk to you after you are back to normal so let me warn you about something]

" Speak"

[ Don't use 'Mark Of Death' again, It's manipulating your mind]

[ Ok now, Bye, we don't have much time]

" Wait–!" Dave tried to ask what he meant by being manipulated but before he could ask anything he felt like he was caught up in a storm as he felt like his head was spinning.

With a jolt, Dave suddenly opened his eyes and found himself in a medical facility. He sensed someone keeping a watch over him from the corner of the room, Dave easily recognized that it was Roy.

" You woke up!" He exclaimed.

"...Yeah...*Cough!*" Dave spoke weakly.

" Wait, I will get the doctor." He walked out of the room, leaving Dave alone.

Currently, he felt that his body was mostly healed. He felt a little weak but as that mysterious item told him, he was able to move his body. Dave felt a little hungry as well, he looked at his body, his shoulders and legs were covered with bandages.

He could see that his body lacked the color it used to have he felt that he has also lost a lot of weight, because of excessive blood loss. Soon a doctor walked inside his room, he was wearing a similar lab coat as doctors on Earth do.

After entering, he started to ask various questions about what Dave felt about his body condition. The doctor recommended him some medicines to take and eat healthily. He confirmed that Dave was healthy and would recover soon.

After the doctor was done with the checkup he left and only Roy remained.

" Where are the others?" Dave asked.

" Boss and Max went to escort those children to their family." Roy answered, " They will be back soon as they left 15 days ago."

" I see they left flowers just in case I die, Haha" He laughed, " ... from The Diamven Family." He read the note on the flowers.
