Reborn ch 1

In the hospital room, the air was tense as a woman screamed at the peak of her strength. "Please, one more push," urged the doctor, his voice a steady reassurance amid the chaos.

After what felt like an eternity, the room was engulfed in the heartwarming cry of a newborn baby. "Congratulations, ma'am, it's a boy," the doctor announced. With gentle hands, he carefully placed the newborn in the mother's arms. Her expression, once contorted with pain, transformed into a radiant smile as she gazed at her precious child.

As the mother and baby shared a moment of tender connection, a man burst into the room, his eyes frantically searching for his wife and the newborn. A wave of relief washed over him as he saw them safe and sound. "Is everything okay?"

The doctor, with a warm smile, reassured him, "Yes, everything went smoothly. You have a healthy baby boy and a strong wife."

The room, once filled with the intensity of labor, was now a sanctuary of familial bliss. The new parents exchanged glances of overwhelming love, cherishing the arrival of their son into the world.

"Toji, I told you to stay calm," the exhausted yet elated mother voiced, addressing her husband.

"Sorry, it was my first time having a child, and I heard that giving birth is hard. I was worried that something might happen to you and the child," Toji replied, a mix of concern and relief evident in his voice.

After their little conversation, the doctor, a composed figure in the room, spoke up. "Ahem, if you don't have any problem, Mr. Toji, please wait outside and don't cause trouble. Your wife needs rest; she's tired after giving birth and needs time to recover. For now, wait outside patiently."

Toji, caught off guard by the doctor's directive, started to protest, "Huh? Who are you ordering-" but was interrupted by his wife's gentle touch and a reassuring smile. "It's okay, Toji. I need some rest, and the doctor knows best. Please wait outside for a bit," she said, her voice filled with a mixture of exhaustion and understanding.

Reluctantly, Toji agreed, "Fine, I'll wait outside, but make sure to take care of yourself and the little one." With that, he left the room, leaving the doctor and the new mother to focus on the post-birth care needed for both her and the newborn.

As soon as Toji left the room, he sensed the presence of three individuals, their cursed energy marking them as Grade 2 sorcerers.

"Hmm, looks like they made a move. Those damn clan members are afraid that I might create another failure, just like me. That's why they want to assassinate my wife and child," Toji muttered to himself, a storm of emotions churning within him.

Meanwhile, atop a building, three unidentified figures peered at the distant hospital where their targets resided.

"Remember, our goal is to kill the mother and the child and make sure to get rid of Toji at the same time. We can't afford to stain our clan by letting another failure be born," one of them declared coldly, their faces concealed by dark cloaks.

Toji, unfazed by their plan, confidently confronted them, "Hmm, you guys are too confident to think you could kill me and my family with just three sorcerers."

All three turned their heads towards the voice, spotting a figure in a tight-fitting short-sleeve shirt, baggy training pants, and a black belt, with cursed spirit visibly wrapped around it's body.

"Toji!"

"You're a disgrace to the clan; your mere existence drags us through the mud, and now you plan to create another failure," one of the sorcerers insulted.

Toji snickered in response, "Heh, you think I care? I couldn't care less about the clan. The only thing important to me right now is my family. So if you try to harm them..."

Toji paused, releasing a bone-chilling, murderous aura. "I will kill you."

"Me...?"

"Don't forget, there are three of us-"

The sorcerer's words were cut short as he turned back to find his comrade's lifeless body on the ground. "You were saying again...?" Toji mocked.

As the last remaining sorcerer watched in horror, Toji, with a sly grin, placed his hand on the sorcerer's face. The sorcerer tried to counter, but his body wouldn't respond, as if he couldn't feel it. Toji notice the sudden change of the expression on the sorcerer face he stepped aside, letting the sorcerer see his fallen lifeless body and came to realization that his head is now separate to his body.

Toji mumbled to himself, "Next time, bring a special-grade sorcerer. That will make it interesting." With that, he released his grip, leaving the head of the sorcerer to fall
