Unknown Enemy

"What are you..."

After the danger bells rang for Tony, he immediately took a step back, dumbfounded. It was the first time he had felt uneasy in a long time.

The giant full-of-muscles man asked with a confused startled expression. He wasn't expecting to see such a scary serious face from the quiet Alex.

'Heyyy?! Calm down a bit, you're going to bust us!'

Liza cried as she was still cautious of Tony's identity, yet Alex was straight trying to shut this guy down. That was completely out of the sudden.

However, Alex soon dropped the serious expression off his handsome face, as well as the deadly aura in his ruby-like eyes.

'Yeah, I'm aware, but I was trying to see his reaction. He seems to be too surprised, or perhaps it's just an act...'

Definitely, Alex wasn't that 'reckless' and wouldn't do anything without a purpose, but it didn't seem he fully got what he expected.

'I know! I definitely felt something off about him earlier, but now he feels just like an ordinary human. Anyways, just don't be reckless! I'm not planning to intervene.'

Since Liza was on earth and still pretty weak. She wasn't in the position to investigate or try to "wake up a bear in its cave". Not the perfect time to make enemies or find them.

"...Darling, what's wrong?"

After all what happened, Alex almost forgot the girl he was holding hands with the whole time! The short blue-haired girl, Anna! She pulled his hand a few times, while muttering in a soft, concerned voice.

She was truly in disbelief at all what happened as the first thing in the morning, but she was aware Alex was on hold of everything. After all, he wasn't a normal human!

She was one of the few people who knew about 'his magical powers'. However, once she saw the fear on the basketball team leader's face, she got a little uneasy.

"Oh, yeah, I'm okay. Sorry I was just still processing what happened, but thanks to the captain, everything came to an end"

Returning back to reality, Alex softened his expression and turned his head back to Anna in order to properly erase her worry and then turned back again to thank Tony like a proper kind human being.

His expression was rather mild and thankful, which caused more confusion for Tony, who had no idea of how to respond to such a switch.

"Ahh.. It's okay! I was just trying to help everyone... Oh sorry for scaring your girl. "

Still feeling concerned, Tony clumsily responded. But this time, he switched his eyes to the good-looking girl besides Alex.

With short dark blueish hair and green clear eyes. As well as a slender, seductive body. Especially her bottom half, thick thighs suffocating in black ripped jeans, showing some of her plumply fair skin.

As for the upper half, just a white fluffy sweater. Still, the shape of her large tiddies could be seen. To sum up, she was a top-notch young lady!

"I'm not sure she's the type to get scared of big guys. "

Alex smiled lightly and pulled Anna closer to his body, wrapping his arm around her back, which caused a cute blush in her charming face, as well as a smirk on Tony's.

"Well done. Then I gotta go. I wish you guys a good day. Stay safe~"

After a few more seconds of scanning the couple in front of him with a soft grin, which made Alex quite uneasy. However, Tony had no reason to stay any longer. He turned around with his smuggy face and walked away.

'It's surprising he mentioned nothing more about the basketball game I promised him. That's better, I'm feeling lazy anyways~'

Alex and Anna also left with no delay. Their lessons were starting soon.

For Anna, she was flustered like a tomato all the way since they were getting an enormous attention from everyone, and Alex didn't seem to get shy from hugging her near him all the way.

Time went flying by, and the morning classes were over. It wasn't lunchtime yet and so Alex solely walked around.

He wasn't walking aimlessly alone! Rather, he was heading towards a building in his campus. Inside, there was the infirmary office.

'Are you this worried about that piece of shit?'

Liza knew where Alex was heading and immediately decided to tease him. Yet, he was unfazed and continued walking.

"I'm worried about the big guy. "

He murmured under his breath, which Liza could hear. She was also cautious of Tony as she had no plans of making any unwanted "enemies" now, as she was the type to think of the worst-case scenario first.

That was understandable, knowing she lived in hell most of her life. Nothing there goes as planned.

Obviously, she wasn't worried about the human Tony, but what might be behind him! A normal human wouldn't give that aura, but no one can determine the 'danger level'

Thinking about Tony's grins, Alex's was also on alert, and by visiting Jake he was hoping to confirm or deny his worries.

'Hope it won't be as bad as we expect.'

While going inside, Alex headed towards the infirmary, which was quite larger than his highschool and well-equipped.

After opening the door, a usual-looking nurse greeted him. With no time-waste, he asked about the recently admitted freshman, Jake.

"Uhm, I came to visit my... friend. His name is Jake. I'm worried about him. I heard he was severely injured and brought here. Can I have a moment with him?"

Alex tried to show some worry and concern in his face. He also used some of his charm, in order to quickly get to see Jake without any annoying questions. However, it wasn't needed...

"Jake? What's his full name? Rather, I have been here since the morning, and we didn't get any Jakes in today. The infirmary is pretty empty today as you can see, so I'm not sure who you are talking about"

The nurse didn't seem to get charmed by his looks, but that wasn't the problem. The scumbag Jake, who's beaten to a pulp, wasn't taken to the infirmary this morning by Tony's friends...

'Dang, this is some bad news just like you expected.'

Liza remarked, as she knew what it meant. Alex also understood that Tony wasn't the only participant in this story.

"Uhm oh yes... I think I might have misunderstood. I thought he was here. Well then, Excuse me"

Alex smiled lightly and waved his hand, then left the infirmary building. His worry was getting stronger as he was unaware of what he was dealing with.

'Can you scan the area and find him?'

The only solution in this case is magic, and since he has a demonic magical creature in his body, Alex asked for help!

'Oh yeah, but you can do it. I don't want to reveal my location. When you scan your surroundings with magic, you essentially put yourself out there. I'm not refusing to help you, it's just if my location got revealed, you're the first to be in danger'

Liza didn't seem to get any less cautious after all the events that happened. The hooded wizard that attacked them before, the white bird following them, and now Tony! More and more magical events appear and she wasn't in a good condition to reveal herself yet.

As for Alex, he already had magical powers as equal to Liza. The problem was he had no idea of how to use it, nor he can do it that amazingly.

'But come on, you already know how to do it. You should get used to practicing magic~'

But Liza still could offer some help and since she can link between their minds, she taught him step by step how to use some of his powers.

'Will try'

Alex nodded his head, soon closed his eyes, focused, and shortly new information started flowing into his mind. After a few more seconds, he opened his eyes again.

"Found him"

He uttered in a calm voice. He could immediately find Jake's position. Thankfully, he wasn't far away and still detectable.

'Might be a trap, no? Shouldn't you be cautious?'

Unfortunately, Alex wasn't able to sense the people that might be around Jake with his current powers.

The whole thing has gotten so suspicious. But Jake had already been beaten up heavily. Tony, the basketball team captain, wouldn't want to lay his hand any more on that pulp of swollen flesh.

"I don't know, it might be a trap, but since he's in a nearby hospital, we can check while keeping a low profile"

After taking a few more of minutes of analyzing Jake's location, Alex realized he was in a nearby hospital, which was a relief. They wouldn't set a trap in a local hospital.

Without any further chit-chatting, Alex left the campus, heading towards the nearby hospital, while his expression was a bit serious than the usual.
