Fighting A Strong Statue

Barry knew that the bronze statue was not an easy opponent at all. He immediately floated back to where the others were.

Elaine also ran towards them but she was clearly much slower than Barry who could levitate.

"That thing is huge," Danny said. "And its body is made of bronze. Do you think we can penetrate it?"

"Yeah." Barry nodded. "The materials that make things up don't really matter now. What is important is its stats and attributes. But first, you have to run. Now!"

They don't really understand what Barry plans to do. Nevertheless, right now running looks like a good option. So they ran.

While Barry stays in his place. He believes he can outrun the statue with his skills. But the others can't.

He stays to see the stats of the statue to confirm its strength.

With its size, the Corrupted Bronze Statue can cut a distance of five meters in one jump and smash the cane it has toward where Barry was standing.

Luckily, Barry had already left that place and was now dashing in the direction his friends were running.

The statue chased him with its wide grinning expression and eyes that gave off a dark purple glow. Like a predator chasing its prey.

A moment later Barry managed to catch up with his group. They stopped for a moment and hid while the sound of clanging bronze hitting the ground came closer and closer.

"Okay, so... That status has quite a troublesome Attribute. It is a Level 15 monster. It has 33 Strength and 39 Defense."

Barry immediately explained everything briefly.

As he expected, his explanation made the others dumbfounded and speechless for a few seconds. But the sound of footsteps from afar alerted them.

"39 Defenses? Isn't that pretty high?"

"Wait, so you can see their stats in number?" Danny, who still didn't understand Barry's abilities, asked.

Barry nodded. "Yes. That's not important now. What I'm trying to say is, that monster is pretty strong. We have to be careful in fighting it."

Afterward, Barry explains how they have to fight it.

Of course, his strategy wouldn't be too far from Danny who would shoot from a distance, Elaine who would attack a little further away, and Barry who would fight it head-on.

Meanwhile, Victoria will cook the potion from the ingredients she has collected from the statues whose bodies have been turned into flesh and bones. Anna will be with her to protect her.

The Corrupted Bronze Statue had appeared from behind the corner a few meters behind them.

Barry and Elaine took a bottle of Magic potion from Victoria and ran towards the statue.

"Aren't you scared?" Elaine asked Barry while running.

"I'm scared as hell. But, do we have any other choice?" Barry replied.

Elaine grimaced. "No."

Elaine stretched out her hand and shot a lightning bolt towards the foot of the Corrupted Bronze Statue.

The lightning attack was strong enough to make it stumble. But the Corrupted Bronze Statue directly stuck its cane in the ground preventing it from falling.

It looked up slowly, looking at Elaine and Barry with a dark purple glow that was getting brighter.

They seemed to be able to feel the anger of the statue in their bodies.

But Barry suppressed the fear and continued to advance.

Seeing him like that, Elaine seemed to find her grip again and ran next to him.

"You have to keep your distance. Let me face it up close," Barry said then shot into the air.

The Corrupted Bronze Statue who saw him approaching swung its cane.

When the cane almost hit him, Barry pushed it and knocked the cane away from him.

He then kept advancing toward the Corrupted Bronze Statue and landed on its chest.

Barry stabbed the Corrupted Bronze Statue's chest with all his might.

However, his attack can only cause a little dent there. The Corrupted Bronze Statue does not appear to have felt any impact.

'Those 39 Defense is really something.'

Barry kicked the statue, letting its hand which was about to hit him hit its own chest.

'What should I do with such high Defense?'

Elaine's lightning attack only caused burnt marks on its shell. It's as useless as Barry's attack.

Barry only had one answer to that. Feeling unable to waste any more time he flew back toward the Corrupted Bronze Statue.

He inserted his sword into its scabbard. Next, he stretched both his hands toward the statue and pulled it with his Gravity Manipulation.

For a statue that big, Barry has to use a lot of Magic Power to be able to pull it.

Barry then lifted the statue into the air. He looked around and saw a tower with sharp edges near him.

Barry threw the Corrupted Bronze Statue toward the tower then pushed it with his considerable gravity force.

The sound of the bronze shell being penetrated by the iron tip of the tower could be heard all around. The Corrupted Bronze Statue was impaled at the top of the tower.

But it's not dead yet. The Corrupted Bronze Statue still appeared struggling.

Meanwhile, Barry fell to the ground because he ran out of Magic Power. He then chugged a Magic potion instantly restoring his Magic Power.

"That's supposed to do a lot of damage, right?" Elaine asked.

"Should be," Barry replied.

The Corrupted Bronze Statue tried to struggle to break free. But Barry won't let this opportunity pass him by.

"Attack!" he shouted while dashing towards the statue.

An arrow made of silver light shot towards the Corrupted Bronze Statue's head and stuck there.

"GRRRHH!"

Everyone can hear its grunt of pain. A sign that that arrow really does significant damage.

Barry turned and saw Danny standing holding his new bow. A smile appeared on his face.

Danny creates another arrow and shoots.
