1 Land of despair!
"You insolent!!!. from this onward, I have no longer a son like you!!!."
This was the last thing I heard from my father after I arrived in this world. Don't get me wrong: it's not like I did anything wrong. It's just that shortly after my transmigration, I found myself in a kingdom, kneeling in front of my father's throne. I was sentenced and exiled to the Land of Despair. According to the memories of this body, I was exiled to the far reaches of the kingdom's borders. one of my father's concubines drugged and poisoned my predecessor. The concubine thought she had killed him, but I was able to take over this body; after failing, she plotted and told my father that I had raped her.
I could guess as to why she conceived her scheme. Eldrick Darkwin was the queen's only son, but she died soon after giving birth. so that makes him the only eligible heir for the throne. the king has many concubines, one of whom has a son; she must have hoped for her son to take over the kingdom, so she plots to murder the queen's son.
"Young master, we are almost there," Uncle yan said
"how many days has it been since we been traveling"
"It's been almost a month now"
"Uncle Yan if you want to leave, you can always go. You don't have to worry even if you go I won't blame you." Eldrick said while looking outside of the carriage.
Eldrick's father had assigned around twenty soldiers to guard him so he could reach the land of despair, but for some reason, all of the guards have gone missing one by one. Eldrick knew that all of the guards had no loyalty to him, so they had to flee so they wouldn't have to serve him, especially knowing that they would live their lives in a land where there is no honour and the living conditions are extremely harsh.
"Young master, I previously serve her majesty. her wishes for you to be safe. let this old man fulfill her majesty wish, I swear even in my last breath I will protect you!." Uncle Yan said
"Thank you, uncle Yan"

After a day has passed they reach their destination.
"Young master, we're here!" Uncle yan said while opening the door of the carriage.
'waaa!! what a disaster, does this place even have a decent house? even the castle looks shabby' Eldrick Thought as he walks while looking around the places.
"This place looks so dark and it's almost like a ghost town and a lot of people begging for food, I heard that the living condition here was bad but I never thought that it was this bad. it's basically lifeless." Eldrick murmured
"Yo...Young Master, it would be better if we just run away to another continent. I'm sure that you can live a better life than here." Uncle Yan said in a worried tone. he knew that Eldrick was debauched and knew nothing about handling people.
"I'm sure it will be fine, for now, let's head to the castle," Eldrick said
after arriving at the castle, Eldrick found a room to rest.
"Hmmm, what should I do now? after dying back on earth I never thought that I would have a chance to transmigrate to a different world. should I look for a way to get back to earth? well, it's not like I have something left behind back on earth after all I was just an orphan. after studying hard and become an engineer I still couldn't find a job then my girlfriend left me for being incompetent." Eldrick thought.
"For now, I'll take a rest and worry about tomorrow," Eldrick murmured as he falls asleep.

Sun raised up while the whole town is covered with fog, Eldrick woke up thinking about how to live his life within this unknown world.
"Young Master, the breakfast is ready," Uncle yan said
Eldrick nodded as he changes his clothes and walks straight to the dining hall.
"Uncle yan, let's eat together"
"No! young master, according to noble law, this lowly servant must not eat at the same table with his master!." Uncle yan quickly denied.
"Don't be like that uncle yan, you are the only family I have now. Come, come, if you don't eat with me, I'm not gonna eat!. Eldrick said as he forced uncle yan to sit on the chair.
Uncle yan regarded Eldrick with suspicion, as he was well aware of the type of person this young master was. Eldrick has always been a perverted and rampant man who never respects anyone that is always up to no good; if he appears to be nice, it means he is up to something.
"Uncle Yan, How many stacks of food did we bring and gold?."
"Young master, according to my calculation if it's just for two people the stacks could last till next year, while the gold we have is only thousands of gold."
"Give it to me," Eldrick said in a serious expression.
'I knew it!!! that's why this young master is awfully nice!' Uncle yan thought
"Young master! If I give you all of the money and food, there is no way we can survive in this land, especially since winter is approaching, and we can't afford to waste it "Uncle said with a worried expression, hoping Eldrick will not insist.
"Relax, I never said I would lavishly our resources" Eldrick smiled.
'I just hope you won't be going to pick up some girls after getting the money.' Uncle yan thought as he handed a ring to Eldrick.
Looking at the ring in his hand, Eldrick realized it had to be a spatial ring. Despite the fact that he had a memory from the original owner of his body, seeing a spatial ring gives him a sense of reality in this world. People here can become strong if they train their bodies, and these people are known as cultivators. When he first saw the memory from this body, he had difficulty believing it because it is impossible on Earth.
Cultivators are extremely rare on this continent due to the scarcity of cultivation manuals. If one is fortunate enough to come across a manual or gain access to a master and disciple, this is when they can cultivate.
Eldrick looked inside the spatial ring and discovered many different things, but one, in particular, piqued his interest: a black book with no name on it.
"Uncle yan, do you know what book is this?" Eldrick said as he takes out the book from the ring.
"Young master t.. that's..." Uncle yan was shocked when he saw the book.
"Hmm? " Eldrick puzzled.
"that's the cultivation manual that your mother, her majesty cultivated before," Uncle yan said as he knows that this cultivation manual was burned down a long time ago along with the body of the queen.
"Hmmm, I'll look into this later," Eldrick said as he places back the book inside the spatial ring.
"No! you mustn't," Uncle yan said in panicked.
"Why not?"
"Thi... this.." Uncle yan couldn't bring himself to say the reason that this cultivation was the culprit of the queen's death.
Seeing that uncle yan didn't continue, Eldrick didn't pursue his question instead he remembers the reason why he wanted the resources.
"Anyway, uncle Yan gathers the people of this town and informs them that I will be their new lord, as the king has appointed me as a baron to this town."
"As you wish, young master."
