1 Classmate +A

"That's enough, guys! Take your seat, I'll be distributing the Test Paper! Now go, we still have a long day" Said the Teacher, who entered the class.

The class scrambled around away from their groups and took their seats after hearing their Homeroom Teacher.

Amidst the chaos, one particular student was on his way to his Teacher; unbothered by what's happening in his surrounding.

His looks were pretty dull and monotonous. A remarkable normal appearance for such a normal young student.

"What's wrong, Mono?" The Teacher asks, "Do you need anything before the test?"

"Yes, Ma'am." He replied, "Can I help you pass the Test Paper sheets?"

"Why, of course! I'll be glad for your assistant. Here, take this."

Mono took the Test Papers and started distributing them to his classmates attentively like a bright student.

"Men, I'm so glad I have a student like, Mono. It sure to have some nice student like him, both hardworking and smart! Am I right?" She asked her Class President on her side.

"... Yeah, you're right."

The Class President replied as if it was nothing albeit he was above her grades by a lot.

She was a very proud-intellect young woman who was aiming to be the best of the best, an Elite among students; that was her endeavor.

So obviously she should be hostile towards him, but no... She treats him, like he was, nothing in her eyes--he was irrelevant.

Everything about him is irrelevant. Even among his classmates.

Yep, that's right. A typical "Classmate A". Not harboring wanted trouble nor reputation.

Having the highest grades among his classmates this reputation must be frustrating.

Yet for him, this is his special abilities.

He can't harbor any suspicion in his surrounding, nor no one would suspect such a thing even he was at fault... Like cheating on the test.

Done distributing the Test sheets he took his seat on the far corner of the classroom beside the door and put his Test sheets on his table, and one of the sheets is already been filled with answers.

He immediately took out his phone and snaps a few pictures before standing-up abruptly, and shouted across the classroom.

"Ma'am!!"

With his sudden shout, he gained everyone's attention no matter how irrelevant he was.

"What's wrong?"

"I think you've forgotten about this." He approaches and passes the answered sheets. "Here, Ma'am. I'm sorry If I've looked at it. I'm confused at first, so I didn't immediately think it was the sheet that has the answer on it. I'm sorry!"

Although he was sorry, he didn't bow or beg for forgiveness; 'cuz either both only will gain him unwanted memorable moment among his classmates, he needs to be shrouded in forgetness.

"Oh, that's okay. Don't sweat the matter." The Teacher shrugs it. "Go on, now. You still have papers to answer."

"Yes, Ma'am."

Mono replied and took his seat once more.

"Heee... I thought it was something, that surprises me." Classmate A

"Yes, I was surprised too. Haha." Classmate B

"Hey, hey. Why don't we ask, Mono, for some answer? After all, he saw the answer, right?" Classmate C interjected

"Dumbass! Do you think Class President wouldn't notice? Go ahead, try it. See what happened." Classmate B

"Okay, okay. Geez. I'm just trying to help, you know. After all, this Test will determine a bright future ahead of us." Classmate C

"I know! So shut-up! I'm trying to concentrate here. God! How I wish I'm smart just like Class President and Mono. Bet'cha that even Mono didn't see the answered sheet, he would still ace the Test." Classmate A

"Yeah, you're right." Classmate C

"Focus on your test, Dude! Do you want to enter "The Academy" or not?" Classmate B said annoyed

"I know! Haa! Just you see, I'll enter "The Academy" and have superpowers and enter the elite society!!" Classmate C

"Good luck then, because you need it." Classmate A tease

"Same to you, Dumbass!" Classmate C rebutted

"Hahaha."

Just like that the conversation started and fizzle out after a few minutes, he was been forgotten once again.

Mono, who was chilling in the back answered his Test efficiently. He was done in under a few minutes or so.

Although he can perfect it, he didn't copy all of it, he didn't want to be on the ace school league charts.

He probably will take the rank spot between 90th-70th with his score. A good spot for him to not gain any attention.

If he was probably among the 50th ranks, his cover would be blown-up by this and also probably his cheating the test.

A good student always has the uses of schools. They were the bread and butter that they nurture to attend competitions so the school would take a higher chance to be ascended, and by means ascended, more fundings and such.

He doesn't want that. Or they'll probably uncover him and his cheating deeds.

He still wanted to attend "The Academy" to gain his superpower and take revenge who have wrong him.

And to achieve that, he needed to cheat. He was not smart, nor his hard work to complement that to be able to attend "The Academy", and cheating is his only way to beat the roaster that has this school quota, which 100 vacant students, to attend the prestigious school, "The Academy".

That's why he needed to be the ace or second-highest grades in his class. And he preferred to be the second.

However, because of the Class President scores that will probably between 96/100-97/100 in this test, she'll probably just make the cut; worst--be eliminated.

So, until now, after two years, he beat her at any subjects which of course for the help of cheating.

Actually, the disparity in their scores is not that great.

Mono will get 98/100 scores undeniably which secured his spot in the ranking between 50th to 100th list.

The competition is high. And just a single wrong answered would mean the end of the road for a student bright future.

As time goes by, the tensions in the room became too dense to be ignored. You can hear the pacing of their foot tapping the cold floor or their clicking tongue's because of frustration.

Everyone wanted to attend "The Academy" and they would make the cut. No. Matter. What.

Although their future is bright ahead of them, being able to attend Class 3, even they are not able to attend "The Academy", yet its brightness is greatly shunned by someone who can attend "The Academy".

The disparity between the two is heaven and earth.

Any minute now, the Test would be over, and everyone was in the last question which was the hardest of all.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Besides Mono, the Class President was in a dilemma thinking about the answer to the last question.

She needs to answer this, and if he didn't, there's a great chance to be eliminated by someone who got lucky to answer this question out of the whim.

Tap! Tap!! Tap!!!

She was getting frustrated and it was increasing very fast. Any minute now, the Test would be over.

"Here."

Out of nowhere, she heard a paper flapped beside her.

It was Mono, showing his answer to her.

"Hurry. You don't have much enough time yet." Urged Mono.

The Class President became tempted but tried to resist. Yet, out of desperation, she clicked her tongue and copied it.

"I'll pay you after this."

She was a prideful young woman. And doing this thing is not her virtue.

"Don't sweat it, it's nothing." Mono reply nonchalantly.

After all, you deserve it if not for my cheating. He thought.

"Yosh, I'm also finished too!!" Exclaimed besides the Class President.

Yeah, you too.

It was the Class President only friend and also the third-highest grades student in their class. She also copied Mono answered which she heard and saw the short exchange between them.

"I'll pay you too, Mono, later. Okay?" She winked

Mono shrug and stayed silent until the end of the Test.

After the bell rung, students' frustration echoed all around the school like a beast deep inside the abyss.
