"Hmm?" Zhou Mo didn't react immediately.
"I won't return to the capital," Han Chen repeated again, as if making a solemn vow.
"Why? Is it too competitive there?" Zhou Mo asked.
"What do you mean by 'competitive'?" Han Chen frowned.
"I mean the intense competition and pressure to succeed, " Zhou Mo explained. "With your education and experience, you could easily become an associate professor in Dongjiang. In the capital, who knows how long it would take for you to become a senior physician. Isn't that a form of 'nei juan'?"
Han Chen reluctantly agreed, "Yeah."
"Dongjiang is pretty nice, right?" Zhou Mo smiled.
"It is."
"Auntie Liang said this place has a strong sense of community, but I haven't felt it that much," Zhou Mo pondered and asked, "But I'm curious, is the capital really lacking in a sense of community?"
Han Chen thought for a moment and answered seriously, "Your friend's boyfriend, Lu Zhishu, is a good example."
