Where Did It Go Wrong?

"Fuuu..." A deep breath escape from the mouth of this seemingly ordinary man.

However, he was nothing but ordinary, an ordinary man isn't someone who's giving up on life, rather they enjoy life and find meaning to it, a complete opposite of him.

"Well it was a good ride, I guess?"

The man looked at the sky as he gazed upon the stars and felt the breeze of the cold wind. The man then looked at the dazzling lights of the building.

"Heh... It's my first time admiring a scene I've seen from the very moment I grew a conscious. But... Now that I'm here, humans truly are an amazing species." The man admired the lights that has proven that humanity can do anything if they put their minds into it.

He thought that he was once like that as well. He sought after his dreams and struggled and persevered through all the hardships that came in his way only to meet his end today.

He wondered where it all started. Where it all begun. However, out of all the questions he could answer, the could only answer 'when will it end'. Knowing the answer to this, a sad melancholic smile emerged from his face.

"Let's... Finish this quickly." He drank the drinks and ate the food he brought into this place.

Perhaps to him, this was the only way he could feel satisfied. After all, to him, food was the only one who consoled him. It was practically his girlfriend at this point.

After finishing it, he walked to the ledge and climbed it. For the first time in his life, he thought he was free. A sense of freshness rose within him as he wished this freedom will last forever.

He opened his arms wide, as if expecting a hug. A small smile could be seen from his face as he jumped to his death.

Thud!

Laying in his pool of blood, the man silently awaited his death. Even though he was still conscious, he did not feel pain at all. He was only numb.

In his dizzy and cloudy eyes, for a brief second, he saw a clear scene of someone. A back he knew too well.

Tears slowly drip in his face as he saw himself wearing clothes he dreamt of wearing one day. He didn't regret doing what he did today, however, he thought maybe if he waited a bit more, he would...

'no' he thought, it was too late thinking of a future he would not get. After his tears stopped his breathing slowly stopped and with this, marked his final breath.

"Poor child, your death today is pitiable. Your death may be not the most tragic, however, it is still tragic nonetheless. It's a good thing that there is someone who has good compabilty of your soul that died today in my world." A cloudy visage of a woman appeared in the man's body and spoke.

Although her body cannot be seen, it was enough to say that she was beautiful through her voice alone.

She hugged a small white ball that emerged from the man's body and snapped her fingers. As if reality was bugging, a rift appeared out of nothingness.

"Since the God that was supposed to help you did not help you at all, I'll do it myself. I'll give you a new body, a new life in a new world. Perhaps you'll find more horrible things in there, but fret not, my blessings will never allow you to die."

"My world is more dangerous than this one, however, you'll be fine. After all, you have my blessings, isn't that so?"

The woman carried the small white ball with her as if it's her child and walked into the rift and disappeared without a trace.
