Conflicting Emotions

As soon as he spotted her figure in the distance, Damien's rapid steps immediately slowed down to a crawl. 

Seeing her standing there with a gloomy look on her face, a bad feeling suddenly rose up from deep within his chest. 

"...Dammit, is she here for the breakup speech?"

It had already been an entire week since the last time he saw her. 

After he rudely ignored her and went on his own way that night with a drunk Sierra slung over his shoulder, there had been no effective communication between them at all.

...To be honest, Damien halfway expected their relationship to be over at this point.

In the end, there still had to be a limit to how much a person could tolerate an absolute scumbag like him. 

No matter how deeply she loved him or how much he tried to appeal to her deep emotions for him, there was no way she would be willing to put up with him any longer.
