As Xylon raised his weapon for the final strike, Eva's instincts kicked in, propelling her forward despite the pain shooting through her scraped knees.

 She couldn't let this moment pass without understanding the truth.

With each agonizing inch, she drew closer to X, her determination overriding the fear that threatened to consume her. 

She had to know what lay behind his mask, what secrets he had been hiding all this time.

As she reached X's side, she locked eyes with him, her gaze unwavering as she searched for the truth hidden beneath his facade. 

"X," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the chaos surrounding them. "H-How did you know ...about the bond of servitude?"

"There are things... things you don't know," X began, his voice strained with emotion. "Things I wish you knew since the start."

But before he could say more, Xylon's rage boiled over, his patience wearing thin.
