Possessiveness

"You're okay!" Eva whispered in relief as Sylvan gently set her down on the ground again.

"Of course, I'm a demon after all," Sylvan replied with a smirk, his tone playful yet reassuring.

They locked eyes for a lingering moment before Eva silently turned around and made her way out of the cabin. 

Sylvan understood her intentions perfectly. He firstly didn't move, he stayed right next to the door of the cabin.

As she reached the trees, he swiftly transformed into his smoke form and trailed after her, moving with incredible speed. , he shifted back into his human form, causing her to bump into his chest.

Startled, she halted in her tracks and shot him an annoyed glance. "Sylvan, what are you up to?" she demanded.

Sylvan swiftly swept Eva off her feet and pressed her back against one of the trees, using its cover to shield them from prying eyes.
