23 First day in the farm

" I could assure that my family has no powers," Xylon replied calmly.

"The power of the Sinclairs lies dormant within them until they arrive at the farm. It is a unique power that cannot be activated until they have fully embraced their role as the Soul Keeper," the celestial being explained to Xylon in a solemn voice.

Xylon was intrigued by the idea of having a hidden power waiting to be unlocked within him. He had always felt ordinary and mundane as a human, but now, the thought of having an untapped potential within him filled him with excitement.

"Tell me more about this power," Xylon asked with eagerness in his voice.

"You will eventually learn," the celestial being said with a gentle smile.

As the celestial being spoke those words, a sense of mystery and intrigue filled the air. Xylon couldn't help but feel a tinge of excitement .

What kind of powers could the Sinclairs possess that only awakened upon reaching the farm? It was a question that he couldn't shake off.

As he stood there, lost in his thoughts, he noticed the celestial being slowly fading away, leaving behind a trail of shimmering light.

Xylon couldn't help but wonder what other secrets the farm held, and what other mysteries he was yet to uncover.

The sky overhead was painted with hues of pink and purple, and the stars twinkled with a vibrancy that he had never seen before. The silence was all-encompassing, yet it felt comforting.

" Those fucking creatures like to act very mysterious " Xylon said as he noticed the books teacher John gave him on the ground .

Xylon picked up the books that Teacher John had given him, tossing them aside with a frustrated sigh.

The celestial beings had left him with more questions than answers, and he couldn't help but feel like they were purposefully being cryptic.

He looked around at the farm, taking in the lush greenery and the sound of birds chirping.

The air felt different here, as if charged with some sort of energy he couldn't quite place. It was almost as if the farm had a life of its own.

Xylon couldn't shake the feeling that his fate was somehow tied to this place. The more he thought about it, the more he realized how little he actually knew about his own family history.

Xylon felt a sudden movement next to him, causing him to stop in his tracks. He turned his head and saw a furry creature staring back at him.

It was a dog, with black and white fur, and big, soulful eyes that seemed to be looking right into Xylon's heart.

The dog barked once, then trotted over to Xylon and nuzzled his hand with its nose.

"Well, hello there," he said, scratching behind the dog's ears. "Looks like I've got a new companion."

The dog wagged its tail excitedly, as if it understood what Xylon was saying. Xylon stood up and started walking again, with the dog following close behind.

Xylon's heart skipped a beat as the dog led him inside the house. He hesitated for a moment, but the dog's urgency convinced him to follow.

As he stepped inside, the air grew thick and heavy, as if he had walked into a haunted place.

The dog led him to a corner of the room where a pile of bones lay on the ground. Amongst the bones was a skull, which the dog nudged towards Xylon. It was clear that this was the remains of the dog's previous owner.

Xylon felt a mix of  confusion, and curiosity about the identity of the person. He knelt down to examine the skull, and noticed something strange - there were markings etched onto the bone.

Without thinking, Xylon reached out and touched the markings. Suddenly, his mind was filled with a jumble of images - a desert landscape, a lot of souls, and a lot of images about the farm. He gasped as the images faded away.

"What was that?" he whispered to the dog, who simply stared at him with its piercing eyes.

" Is this the remains of the last soul keeper's body?" Xylon asked .

The dog barked in response, as if confirming Xylon's suspicions.

Xylon's anger flared up as he gazed upon the lifeless body of the previous Soul Keeper, left without a proper funeral.

"Not even a proper burial, after all those years he spent tending to their wretched souls," he muttered to himself, feeling a deep anger within him.

Placing the skull in its rightful place, he turned his attention to his surroundings.

The smell was overwhelming, a putrid stench that seemed to cling to the air like a thick fog. Xylon's stomach churned as he took in the dilapidated state of the house.

The walls were covered in grime and the furniture was worn and tattered, as if it had not been cared for in a long time.

But there was something else in the air, something that made Xylon be more careful. It was as if there was a presence, lurking just out of sight, watching his every move.

He could feel the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end, a sure sign that something was not right.

Xylon's eyes darted around the room, searching for any sign of what could be causing this unsettling feeling.

His gaze finally settled on a small, weathered book lying on a nearby table. As he picked it up, he felt a sudden chill run down his spine.

The pages were filled with strange symbols and incantations.

"The Sinclairs have been living like this for far too long," he said to himself.

"Not all of them, of course, but those who were doomed to this place. And yet, they have done nothing to change their situation. It's alarming."

Xylon left everything behind him and stood next to the door looking at the sand behind the farm with eyes that were filled with challenge.

"This legend is going to end here …with me ..bastards !"
