She shouldn't be used

"Are you not going to line up for lunch Hanna?" Sarah asks Hanna who is already comfortably seated on their usual spot at the cafeteria.

"Y-yes... I already have a prepared lunch." Hanna answered as she takes out a pretty lavender lunch box out of her bag.

"Oh, alright then. We'll just be buying our lunch. Wait here for a bit okay" Sarah said while stealing a glance at Gabriel who is also already seated on the table. Gabriel doesn't like the cafeteria food so he often brings his own lunch to school.

"Want me to buy you something Gabriel" Sarah still asks him, just to strike some conversation out of him. And as usual, Gabriel didn't answer and instead just shakes his head to deny her question.

"Hey jerk! Don't be mean to Hanna okay. I'll slice you up if you make her cry!" Jeremiah warned Gabriel before leaving, His concern made Hanna's face brighten up like a tomato.

Meanwhile, Sarah grabbed Jeremiah to the counter to stop him from being an embarrassment.

"I really don't like that assh*le." Jeremiah said as they we're lining up for food. This made Sarah's brow to rise.

"Why are you so mean to Gabriel? Yes, he's a bit aloof, but he has never been mean to you. Just leave him alone." Sarah said that made Jeremiah feel wronged.

"Hey! I don't like him because he's so rude to you! He's so arrogant just because of that pretty face. I would never understand why out of all your childhood friends, it has to be him. Minus that face, he'll just be your typical jerk." Jeremiah defended his stance, seeing that he would never change his mind whatever else she says, Sarah decided to change the topic.

"Anyways, heeeyyy.... What do you think of Hanna? Isn't she such a cutie? hmm hmm?" Sarah teasingly said while nudging Jeremiah.

"What do you mean by 'what do I think?' You're acting weird. Hanna is a really nice girl. She helps me a lot whenever I don't understand some stuffs in our class. That's it." Jeremiah said, feeling weirdly grossed out by how Sarah acted while asking about Hanna.

"A nice girl huh.. yieee"

Seeing her act like this made him feel some bad premonitions.

"You... Are you planning something? Is this about Gabriel again?" He said in suspicion. "I'm telling you now, leave Hanna out of your plans, she's a genuine nice girl." Jeremiah protectively said that only made Sarah smile wider.

"Hmm... Okay okay... It's not really about Gabriel tho. I just thought of helping her to get through an idiot." Sarah answered with a knowing look that made Jeremiah more confused.

He looks at where Hanna is and saw her awkwardly fidgeting on her phone. She obviously looks uncomfortable with Gabriel.

'Hanna is a nice girl, she shouldn't be used just for a jerk like Gabriel' Jeremiah thought.
