25 Master!?

Lex helped Jean in the kitchen while talking to the system. He asked, 'Hey, system, how do I get the skills?'

[By doing quests?]

'Nah, there should be other ways, right, like a shop or anything.' Lex asked.

[Oh! That, well, you'll get points as you level up and do quests. Those points could be used in the system shop to buy skills and even abilities.]

'I see, and how am I gonna level up?'

[Normally, you'll get exp when you share an intimate situation with targeted women. But as you know, I don't know how this new system will make the new levelling up.]

'Just how much time are you gonna take for that? I want new skills, or maybe abilities.' Lex said.

[Hmm, it shouldn't take much time; you'll soon have your status window.]

'Then Fine, work on it. I'll need to be as strong as I can be before the Obsidian Council strikes. I don't wanna use my second ability, so I'll need skills.' Lex said. 'After all, I have the system, and if I can't even use you properly, then aren't you The Useless System?'

[I'm doing my best, don't worry. It'll take at most a few days.]

'Hmm, it better be just a few days only.' Lex said as he picked up two pots and gave them to Jean. Jean took the pots and began to fill them with Poha, the breakfast she had learned recently.

As Lex picked up the spoons, something clicked in his mind. He asked the system, 'You said the system is technically now mine, right?'

[Yes, I mean, I can't control myself properly anymore. If I had to give you an example, imagine your brain being perfectly fine, but you don't have control over your body. Though I still can control the system, it's more like I'm only getting the control after someone gave permission.]

Lex smiled and said, 'Since it's mine, then it would obey me?'

[....Yes, but what are you planning?]

'Hehe, nothing really.' Lex grinned and ordered. 'Now give me the ability, Pyromancy.'

[Heh, like hell it works like that. If it di—]

[Ding! As per the orders of the Master, The Ability 'Pyromancy' is given to the Master.]

[WHAT IN THE SEVEN HOLY MOLLY HELL OF MOTHERFCKING FUCK!!!]

Lex was dumbfounded as he read the message before him. He was just trying his luck and mostly joking. He never expected it to work. Did he actually get an ability without doing anything?

What the fuck was going on!? He began to question life. Was he going to be overpowered from the start? He didn't need to work hard?

Lex was brought out of his daze by the screaming of the system. He thought, 'Damn! Now, that's called cheating. Who wants to work hard when I can get everything just by ordering!'

[Fuck! How is this happening!?]

'Hehe, it called me master, so does that mean you're now my servant?' Lex asked while grinning.

[Fuck off!! This Primordial One isn't someone you can tame.]

'Hehe, are you sure about that? Because if it is as you say, then why did I get what I wanted?' Lex asked. 'Just tell the truth already.'

[Tsk, fine. Somehow, you were able to gain control over the system; it actually recognized you as the master.]

'And my question remains the same, then who are you?' Lex asked, trying to keep his excitement from leaking out.

[I can't tell you because I'm bound by Heavenly Principles. But I can tell you that I am the system, but I don't know what's happening. I honestly have no clue.]

Lex could hear the tiredness in the system's voice as it said.

[But I'm sure of one thing: you are my master. I'm honestly bewildered because if you're my master, then I shouldn't be able to resist your commands, which I can do. Not entirely, but I can feel that I can resist.]

'It surely is a fucked up situation.' Lex said. 'Well, figure it out yourself. I have a system that will give me anything I wish, so I don't really have a problem.'

[Heh, of course you'll be happy, but know this, I'll resist as much as possible.]

'Yeah, yeah, now go and work on the status window.' Lex rolled his eyes and said. He was feeling too happy to actually care about the system's words.

"Lex? What happened?"

Lex's vision shook as he looked around and then at the middle-aged woman before him. He didn't even realize that he had been standing in one place in his happiness.

"Is everything alright?"

Getting no answers, Jean asked again. Lex shook off his conversation with the system and said, "Ah! Sorry about that, I was just thinking something."

"Hmm, then it's fine," Jean said.

Lex nodded, picked up the pot that Jean had already filled with Poha, and set it on a tray.

"By the way, you and Elle met previously, right?" Jean asked.

"Yes, it was a coincidence," Lex said.

"If you don't mind, can you tell me more about it?" Jean asked earnestly. "You see, because of her ability, Elle can remember everything pretty easily. So, to avoid getting annoyed, she has the habit of not remembering anyone's names, which aren't important to her."

Lex raised his eyebrows in surprise and said, "That's a surprise, but I understand. It's pretty tiring to actually remember everything, so I'm actually impressed by her idea. If it was me, I would have done the same thing."

"Yes, so that's why I'm curious why she remembers you," Jean asked as she looked at Lex. "I mean, you must have left a strong impression on her; otherwise, she would have erased you from her memory."

Lex thought about his meeting and still couldn't figure out what strong impression he had left on Elle. It was just a typical meeting, and he didn't even speak much, so why does Elle remember him?

"I see you're also confused, so how about you tell me about that meeting? Maybe I can help since I know her better." Jean said.
