35 Little Problem?

Lex's lips tugged up as he replied to Elise, "Is that so? Then what is the one who makes those divine pancakes called?"

"Divine Cook!!"

"Good that you know, so the divine Cook can do anything with his pancakes," Lex said. "So now wake up. You said you have an appointment with your master, right? Then how come you're sleeping till now?"

"Oh! About that, I already told my master that I'll be late since I have something very important to do in the morning."

'And sleeping is your important work!?' Lex went speechless. He shook his head and said, "Forget it! Get ready; there is a surprise for you."

"Surprise? Really? What is it?"

"Now you're so excited; where is your sleep?" Lex said. "Anyways, just freshen up and go outside. You'll understand."

"As you command, Lord commander."

Lex rolled his eyes and said, "I'll probably be late, so you can eat outside for today. Alright, then I'll hang up."

"Yes, Sir!"

Lex could already hear the excitement in Elise's voice. He smiled and cut the call.

Lex raised his head as he looked around. The manager and the receptionist still hadn't come. Were they coming from a different city or what?

He shook his head and opened Delulugram to watch shorts, had to do something for timepass.

As he scrolled and browsed through it, he stumbled upon a short in which a teenager wearing a school uniform was doing an awkward dance.

Lex had to say it was weird, but at least the guy was putting in effort. He then went to the comments section, already expecting people to 'appreciate' this guy's talent.

And it was as he expected. Lex nodded his head in pride as the commenters didn't let him down.

[Sarru016: Haters will hate, but don't worry, bro, I'm always with the haters.]

[Mr.Perfect.Here: God-given talent.... please return it to God.]

[Joe.Ass: Very nice... Don't do it again...focus on your studies.]

[Just_Leo_12: *sigh* who the hell told him to upload on delulugram?]

[Irregular_John: average Science Topper be like:]

Lex closed the comment section after reading most of the comments. There were some more comments, but those will certainly cause him trouble, especially if he uses them in his novel.

He may get a lot of curses and a potential ban on his book.

As he was going through his messages, he heard footsteps approaching him. He pocketed his phone and stood up, looking at the receptionist lady and one middle-aged man coming towards him.

The beefy middle-aged man arrived near him and bowed his head slightly while saying, "I apologize for the late, Sir Lex. I didn't know you were going to come here; otherwise, I would have welcomed you properly."

The receptionist who was trying to catch up to the manager was dumbfounded and halted on her steps. Was this guy a bigger big shot than she had imagined?

Sure, Platinum VIPs get special treatment, which was the reason she had gone to the top floor to call the manager, but certainly not enough to make the manager of a branch in Capital bow his head and apologize.

Inwardly, she thanked herself for not acting recklessly. Otherwise, she would have to say goodbye to her job.

"Ah! No need to apologize; I just came because I wanted to practice here." Lex said.

"Thank you for understanding," The manager said and pointed in the direction of the elevator. "In that case, I'll lead you to practice hall."

Lex nodded and began walking alongside the manager, ignoring the small ruckus he had caused. It was quite shocking for them, especially the staff, to see the manager apologizing to a teenager.

Before going, the manager instructed the receptionist, "Remember to prioritize Sir Lex whenever he comes here."

Although she didn't know the identity of the young man, judging by how much respect the manager gave him, it was easy to guess he was a big shot. She nodded and said, "Yes, Sir!"

The manager nodded at her and followed Lex to the elevator.

When they were alone, Lex said, "I don't think a Platinum VIP deserves so much respect."

"Indeed, you're right on that, Sir Lex." The manager said.

"Can you please not call me Sir? It's odd hearing that from someone older than me." Lex said. "Then why?"

"As you wish, Lex. You can also me John then." The manager, John, said. "As for your question, I believe you're forgetting that I'm the manager of a branch situated at the Capital of Lionheart kingdom. It's one of our main branches, so only experienced and loyal people are given the job of such branches."

He then smiled at Lex and said, "And I've been in the company for many years. I've seen how you have changed it and become one of the main shareholders of this company."

"I admire people like you, so the respect I'm giving you is for two reasons. One is obviously because I admire you, and second because technically, you're my superior. It's the order from headquarters to treat the major shareholders with utmost respect."

Lex hummed and said, "Thanks then. Also, don't worry too much. I shifted to the capital and wanted a place to practice."

"You're always welcome here," John said as they entered the elevator. "And you don't even need to bother with others; you're a Platinum card holder, after all. Just directly come to this elevator and put your card in it."

John pointed to a thin slot for a card that was just under the buttons to choose which floor they needed to go to.

John then gave Lex his card back and said, "This card allows the holder to go to the underground floor that is only accessible to Platinum VIPs. Because of that, it's empty most of the time."

"That's nice; I wanted to practice alone anyway," Lex said as he inserted his card in the slot and chose the zeroth floor.

The elevator began to descend and soon stopped. The door opened as a corridor appeared before them. They exited the elevator and walked inside the corridor towards the other side.

They found a big hall on the other side, but there seemed to be a little problem there.
