"You seriously went and picked him up?" Lisa asked, face contorting into a pained expression of disgust as she saw the two of their hands interlocked. "God, I think im going to puke."

"Hey," Jane stepped forward and gave Lisa's arm a light smack, her face contorting into a snarl "Don't say that! Apologise!"

"Eat a dick Jane," Lisa pushed her away. "Like fuck im going to do that."

"Then leave," Jane said with a huff, growing very annoyed at her friend. Lisa went to respond, however she couldn't bring herself to, simply levelling Conrad with a hard glare before turning on her heel and marching off.

"Sorry about her." Jane apologised to Conrad in Lisa's stead, grabbing his hand and bringing it up to her chest. "I talked to her before about her attitude but it seems none of my words got through."

"Aye dont worry," Corand said as he watched Lisa stomp off, watching the changes in her interest bar above her head. "I'm kinda interested to see how this goes."

"If you say so," Jane gave him a quick hug before pulling away.

"What's this?" Taylor approached with a curious expression having watched their little act of affection. "Since when were you two so close? Going to make me jealous here Jane."

"What do you mean jealous?" Jane instinctively grabbed hold of Conrad's arm when she sensed the mischief in Taylor's eyes. "Don't you already have a partner?"

"I do," she looked Conrad up and down, his increased charisma seeming to catch her eye more than usual. That and the increase in her interest level from the previous day. "But there's no harm in upgrading."

"Well, upgrade somewhere else."

"I'll think about it," Taylor turned on her heel, but not before purposefully winding up Jane by blowing him a kiss.

"God that woman!" Jane began to complain as Conrad watched Taylors wide hips sway away. "Every time she talks to me I get annoyed. I can't stand her!"

"Aye," Conrad patted her head. "But try and play nice. It'd be much better for me if the two of you got along."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Just thinking about the future." Jane looked up at him confused, however Conrad didn't bother elaborating. "When's this CEO supposed to arrive anyway?"

As if on cue, the moment he asked that question someone rushed in from outside, waving his arms and yelling. "She's here!"

The assembled crowd all grew silent, standing up straight and forming into neat lines. Those of higher standards closer to the path cut through the centre of the crowd while lowly employees like Conrad stood at the back. Jane for her part, even if she was nervous about the CEO's arrival, decided to break with tradition, and rather than standing up with the team leaders towards the middle of the pack, decided to hang back in the rear with Conrad.

"Shouldn't you be going up?" He couldn't help but ask, but Jane only shook her head, holding his hand as she stood beside him.

"It'll be fine." She said, "There are enough people here that it won't be noticed, and even then it's really not that big of a deal. If I was a director or above, sure, but just a team leader won't raise any eyebrows."

"If you say so."

Conrad watched as a convoy of six cars pulled up through the large glass walls that looked out to the street. From the cars streamed a surprising contingent of suited men, who Conrad could only assume to be guards, that took up positions around the area, eyes on a constant swivel.

"Who's that?" Conrad couldn't help but whistle as his eyes landed on a blue haired beauty directing the various guards before taking a place next to the one car that had still yet to open. Compared to the rest of the plainly dressed men in black suits, she was dressed in a pristine white suit, adorned with golden epaulettes and buttons. At her hip, strangely enough, hung a decorative sword, one of her gloved hands constantly resting on its hilt.

"That's Scarlett," Jane answered back in a whisper, keeping her voice low. "She's the head of the CEO's bodyguards."

Before Conrad could think too much on Scarlett's profile, the door to the last car swung open, his mouth almost dropping as he saw the woman who emerged. The raven haired beauty's long bare legs swung out of the car as Scarlett reached out her hand to assist the woman to her feet. She wore a flowing black dress, splitting either side of her waist leaving a small section of silk at the front of her body while the rest flowed behind her. Her sizable chest was almost bursting out of the dress as two small straps held it in place, tied around her neck. To contrast the almost entirely black outfit she also carried a white fur stole, wrapped around her arms before falling down across her lower back.

"Woah," Conrad gawked as the woman slowly strutted her way through the middle of the gathered crowd, stopping briefly to give her greetings to some of the higher ranked members of the company.

"Don't stare," Jane gave his side a light elbow, slightly miffed that he was openly ogling another woman right in front of her. "Her security are watching."

Conrad reluctantly moved his eyes away from the raven haired woman and sure enough the moment he did he locked eyes with Scarlett, the blue haired head of security guard staring right back at him. She turned away shortly after, going on to stare daggers at any other employee that had enough balls like Conrad to openly gawk at the CEO.
