13 Chapter 13

The way Xianth looked at Kami turned cold as he stood from the ground. This is not the kind of treatment he wants to receive from someone that he saved from the claws of death. Even being ungrateful should have a limit.

Xianth was originally excited to finally meet a human of the Osmeon Continent for the first time but this experience greatly disappoints him.

As if to show his displeasure, Xianth allowed the leaking oppressive aura of Ischyros to exit his body. The air around him instantly changes and just his presence alone has the power to bring extreme terror.

Even just a hint of aura from a high-level being such as a Phoenix is already enough to bring many beings to their knees. Kami was not an exception to that. His knees shook and his legs gave out. This time, he was the one that fell down

"If someone saved you then you should be thankful. Even if you are not, at the very least, don't piss them off!" Xianth said angrily as he watched Kami tremble in fear

In Kami's eyes, he was staring at a giant golden bird that could take his life without even lifting a finger. This sense of terror seeps straight to the bone and the only thing he could do was to stay rooted on the ground while trembling heavily.

He sweated even heavier than when he was being chased by the grey wolves and the fear of death he had when facing those low-level beings far paled in comparison to the terror that this human in beast clothing gave him.

"Hmph!" Xianth snorted. He was never the type of person to pay resentment with favor.

He originally intended to bring Kami to a safe place but he changes his mind and he decided to leave him here.

Anyway, considering that Xianth spent hours traveling and he also encountered another human, a city or at least a village should not be far from here.

Without Kami noticing it, Xianth was already out of his sight. He was only able to recover when Xianth was far enough to not affect him with his aura.

"T-that... that damned savage! H-how dare he humiliate me like this? I am Kami Ilmer! I am a future Viscount, I am literally a Noble! How dare these lowly beings humiliate me? Whether it be goblins, grey wolves, or a savage, I will make sure that all of them will pay for humiliating me!"

The arrogant Young Master still has not learned his lesson and instead, his resentment grew bigger.

——-

"Are those walls? A city wall?" Xianth asked himself with excitement in his tone.

Finally! He is finally going to enter a human and civilized society! He doesn't have to sleep in the forest like the cavemen ancestors of his.

Xianth sped up his pace and he encountered more humans along the way. However, these people more or less have a similar reaction after seeing him.

Some of them gave a look of disgust, some with disdain, and some directly avoided him as if he has some sort of plague.

As much as this felt insulting, Xianth cannot blame them much. If he was the person that saw a man wearing only a beast skirt, he too would look at that person weirdly.

Not to mention, this world definitely has a different culture than his previous world and there might be a reason why they showed strong dislike to someone like him.

"This wouldn't do. At this point, I might not even be allowed to enter the city. At the very least, I should wear proper clothes. I need to enter the city!" Xianth talked to himself when he felt a hand touching his shoulder.

When he turned his head to look at the person touching him he saw a fat middle-aged man smiling at him.

This fat man was wearing multiple pieces of jewelry. He has jewelry on his ears, nose, neck, wrists, head, etc.

He was wearing a bright golden business suit as if he was trying hard to flaunt his wealth to everyone. Behind him were three muscular men that can easily intimidate the weak. They look like people that can bend steel with just their bare hands.

"Did you say you want to enter the city?" The fat man said and as much as he was suspicious, Xianth still nodded his head.

"I'm a merchant and the wheels of my caravan broke. If you help carry my products, I will help you. With what you are wearing right now, the city guards would not let you pass. Besides, you need money to pay to the city if you want to enter the city" the fat man explained, and although Xianth was filled with suspicions he still nodded his head.

"Alright, I will help" He replied affirmatively and the fat man's smile grew bigger than before.

"Then follow us, we left our caravan a bit far from here" the merchant said and Xianth did as he was told.

He walked with these four people for minutes and it seems like it was just not 'a bit far'

Xianth have his suspicions but he still quietly followed them until the trees around became more common again.

At this point, Xianth is almost a hundred percent sure that these people are up to no good and he decided to speak out.

"Are we still far?" He asked and the merchant turned to look at him

"No, we are already near" he replied before he turned his head back and gave one of his three guards a glance

That guard understood what that meant and he placed his hand behind him. On his right palm, a pink flower suddenly grew out of nowhere and it starts to release small and almost invisible to the human eye pollen that wafted in the air.

The pollen seems to have a mind of its own and they approached Xianth that stopped in his tracks.

"Is there something wrong?" The merchant asked with a frown.
