6 Miracle of The Potion

Oliver left the restaurant immediately after finishing the fried rice and iced tea that Alice bought for him.

It wasn't that he didn't want to stay longer, but there were still many things he wasn't ready for.

Besides, he didn't want to waste time.

He wanted to go home first, understand more about cultivation.

According to his estimation, the various items in the Dungeon could help improve his cultivation, but there were too many things he didn't understand.

Just now he found a book that recorded various things from cultivation, such as things that could help improve cultivation to helping master skills quickly.

The latter was something important. He could probably find the items in the Hunter's Market.

He could buy them by selling the potion first.

In no time, he arrived in front of his apartment building.

It was an old building with few residents.

Those who lived here were poor people who mostly had problems, whether it was gambling addicts or alcoholics.

Normally, returning to this apartment would have worried her somewhat, but now he unhesitatingly strode quickly past a few drunk men, not caring about their reactions.

He entered the elevator that gave the impression that it could fall, going to the 13th floor.

On that floor, only his apartment had residents.

His apartment was very small, consisting of a living room and a single room and bathroom. Between his room and the living room, there wasn't even a door as the door had come off and he hadn't put it back on.

There was an old sofa chair next to the window.

He sat there, opening the book that explained various things about cultivation.

It was apparently a book with colors where each picture of an object had a detailed color.

Of course, this made it easier for him to recognize the items.

To his surprise, when he opened the third page, he found a picture of a green liquid that looked very similar to a potion.

"Is this a potion?" He immediately wondered then looked at the description of the liquid which turned out to be called Heaven River Water by the book.

The description explained that a cultivator could soak in the Heaven River Water to gain enlightenment.

Enlightenment!

This was the most important thing to master a Skill.

This information was beyond Oliver's expectations because if the Potion was really Heaven River Water, it meant that he didn't have to sell it, he just needed to use it to practice various skills.

Once he read more descriptions, he became even more convinced as it said that the Heaven River Water could also heal wounds and increase strength in a short period of time when drunk. This was really exactly the same as potion abilities.

However, the book said only a fool would drink the Heaven River Water.

Oliver continued to read the book, in no hurry to use the potion because he wanted more knowledge.

Compared to the cultivation method and skill book, the book was much thicker. Reading it took a lot of time, but each sheet really contained valuable knowledge.

When looking at the various pictures in the book, he realized that many items from the Dungeon were recorded there.

Because of that book, he knew more uses for those items compared to the public knowledge now.

Before he knew it, the afternoon had come when he read the last page of the book. He read it for almost 8 hours, without eating because he completely lost track of time.

However, he still didn't feel tired. Excitement still filled his mind.

He went to the bathroom, emptying the water in his bathtub because he wanted to put the potion into it.

When he transferred the potion from inside his storage ring to the bathtub, the green liquid flowed quickly from the ring.

In no time, the bathtub was full of the green liquid.

It smelled amazingly good, very refreshing.

He who was excited from the start felt even more excited.

"How does it feel to soak in potions?" He wondered.

Of course, no one had ever done it because it was rare for anyone to find this much potion.

Those who found them tended to share them on the spot with their group members.

Oliver took off his clothes one by one until there was no cloth left on his body.

After that, he put his right foot into the bathtub.

"Mm, I'm not sure what this feeling is," he said before inserting his left leg and sitting down.

When he sat down, his body sank into the potion up to his chest.

He felt comfortable. His body was so light that his head and mind seemed to float.

However, this was not a drunken sensation as everything seemed to be clear to him.

When he looked at his body, he vaguely saw that his body was absorbing the potion little by little.

Realizing what was happening, he took out three skill books at once, Sky Breaking Fist, Eartbenders, and Wind Light.

He had no particular reason for choosing them. In fact he was quite confused, so he chose what he liked from the names of those skills.

Having a strong fist was very important, and having the ability to control the ground sounded good. Wind Light was quite important as it could increase his speed.

When he started opening the books, Oliver somehow felt immersed into them, like his consciousness was merging with the books.

He was actually still confused as to why he opened three books at once instead of one at a time.

Thinking about it, he began to realize that the enlightening effect of the potion was starting to work.

It seemed to be controlling his entire mind to understand the skills that appeared in front of him.

Over time, he felt more and more unconscious, like he was falling asleep, but as he slept, he thought new insights were coming into his head.

Next, he began to get various images, first an image where he punched the sky, then an image where he controlled two mountains at once to protect him from his enemy's attack, then an image where he moved from east to west in an instant due to the help of the faint wind-like light around his body.

"Mm..." His eyes opened and his consciousness returned.

However, it was no longer evening or night, it was already morning as the sun was in the east.

"Did I master all three skills?" Oliver wondered and felt like it at the same time.

He clenched his fist firmly, instantly knowing how to punch that could shatter the sky.

When he looked at the bathtub again, his eyes were somewhat surprised that the remaining potions were now only about a third of the original amount.

"Well, it seems I just ate a lot of money." He began to smile as he realized his path was getting more and more extraordinary.

He wasn't a Hunter, didn't have a Leveling System, but he was a cultivator.

The Hunters had to fight to become stronger. Many were stagnant because their skills were not so favorable, but he could increase his strength with meditation.

He transferred the remaining potions to his storage ring, planning to use them again later.

Now he didn't have any thoughts of selling it. Instead, he would buy potions if only he had the money.

He then took a shower, and put on his school uniform.

His life changed, but his schooling could not be stopped.

Even all the young Hunters went to school including Alice. This was in fact due to government regulations that required it.

In school, they not only learned about science, history, or language, but also knowledge about dungeons, how to fight, and so on.

Of course, there was another, more important purpose. It was the doctrine instilled in the Hunter from among the commoners, the doctrine to keep them on their path, not to break out of the current world system.

This had to be done because in the early days of System Leveling, some quite powerful Hunters began to try to gain power with their strength.

Oliver wouldn't be able to avoid this either, not before he was really strong.

In fact, a cultivator couldn't live just by being alone and meditating because a lot of inner insight could be gained from socializing with society, so schooling was indeed a must with his age now.

Fighting and learning from other people's experiences are also important to hone oneself.

After putting on his uniform, he stood in front of the cracked large mirror.

His figure had not changed at all, he was still rather thin, but he thought there was some kind of light emanating from him.

"My raw power should have increased as well," he said.

Although he did not break through to the next stage, his cultivation had clearly become deeper. Perhaps when compared to the Hunters, he had improved by a level or two.

After using the hair oil, he ruffled his hair. It was a style he liked because it made him look a little wild even with a reserved expression.

This time, he had breakfast first, eating bread that was a bit old but he ate it with gusto.

Once he was full, only then did he leave his apartment, heading to his school.
