18 WAR MODE?

Andhr was enraged, but he wasn't going to show it in front of everyone in the courtyard, as most of the newbie Gods were already on the lookout in case one of them pounced on the other. As such, he opted to wander off to his dorm room after agreeing to the subsequent duel.

"Sary, I don't think it was appropriate to rip Andhr's arm off, as much as he deserved it, what happens if you get in trouble with Kaltor." Calyps spoke somewhat concerned about the events.

"Don't worry, Kaltor is also fascinated by the competitiveness between us so I can manage. Anyway, I noticed that you're a bit anxious about the whole situation, it's not like we're great friends either." Sary commented intrigued.

"Even though we don't meet often, I feel a deep empathy for each of the Newbie Gods present. In a way, we are all like brothers having been reborn as gods together, therefore, I do not relish the bloody conflicts between us" replied Calyps sheepishly

"Brothers, eh? That's an interesting analogy, though I personally don't experience it that way. I perceive us more as rivals constantly seeking to outdo each other, rather than seeking to harm each other. While there is a sort of camaraderie, there are some who seem to be on the verge of tearing each other's throats out at any moment, as was the recent case with Andhr and I."

"But..."

"don't worry Calyps, that doesn't mean I see you as a bother, you even look kind of cute with all those scared little sister gestures. We should chat more, especially now that we have free time.

"really???? that would be great!!!!!

"yes, but first let's go to the dining room and order something, I'm starving!!!"

"How are you going to starve?"

"It's just a silly expression, it's a habit from when I was mortal."

Ohh, okay, I'll go tell Baltra and Mia if they want to join us for something to eat.""

"I'll go get some bandages for these scratches in the meantime. I'd rather not use the D.E. to heal minor wounds, as I'm sure Kaltor would impose some sanction if I used it for something so trivial."

================

"pilgrimage what?"

[The "Celestial Pilgrimage of Divinity Bestowal" is a tradition forged by the Big Ten at the dawn of the era following the birth of the first known god. Usually, this celebration takes place once a "Dominion" has been successfully created. It is expected that you will be able to embark on your journey to the primordial universe of the Big Ten, known as "Zinclos", within a period of approximately two Estremes. This time frame provides the time necessary for you to learn how to successfully "transport" your Dominion].

"yes, yes. The ability to be able to turn the Domain into an accessory style object to avoid any attacks on it, in case I'm not around. I remember that."

Since my return from A1, my main focus has been to improve my mastery over my newly acquired skills. In this process, I have created four additional servants, with Grimsby being the primary butler charged with instructing them in everything necessary to satisfy my desires. Although the generation of Divine Energy (D.E) in the mansion barely manages to remain autonomous, I have been cautious in avoiding unwise use of it, which has allowed me to build up a slight surplus in my reserves.

I had a desire to hone my skills as a blacksmith, so I gave myself entirely to the task of forging various tools that, to a mortal being, could be considered of an almost mythical degree, reaching even to the point of the divine. In Sarasvi's lessons, he commented that a scale of quality was created for weapons and tools, which starts at the lowest level, called "rottenness", and reaches its apogee at what is known as "divine", a grade which only weapons created by the gods obtain that grade.

To be honest, my motivation behind this production was to keep alive the memory of my former life as a weapon maker, while seeking to expand the limits of versatility and destructive power in my creations. I ended up forging hundreds of them, which,

at the moment, they do not seem to have a purpose beyond gathering dust. Although, it should be noted, in my mansion, even the existence of dust is debatable.

For some time now, I had been intrigued as to where Grimsby was getting the shrimp he served me for the first time since my awakening. To my pleasant surprise, I discovered that we have a subway lake that is home to a seemingly inexhaustible variety of creatures, some of which are familiar to me, while others are completely unknown. Moreover, this lake seems to have no apparent bottom. Sarasvi explained to me that these aquatic creatures originated from the residual D.E. of my own abilities, meaning that they do not possess a soul. Although I am somewhat curious as to how this lake was formed, I admit that I am in no position to question the possible vagaries of the Espher.

During this same period, I have also unlocked a new skill: "War Mode". I must admit that it is quite an intriguing ability. At that moment, while I was busy designing an armor capable of generating a force field, my domain suffered a surprise attack that caught me completely off guard. Without wasting any time, I went to confront the invaders, who turned out to be hybrid beings, a mixture of terrestrial and some flying creatures. What distinguished them was a kind of black, viscous aura that emanated as they advanced toward the walls of my domain.

Immediately, I identified these invaders as the corrupted abominations of the Nephilim. In that moment of urgency, I organized my servants in haste, while Grimsby scrambled to find some suitable weapon to deal with this attack.

"Are Nephilim attacks this unexpected?"

[mostly yes, or have you ever seen an enemy announce what day he's coming to kick your ass?]

"good point."

I'm not going to hide it, I was pretty nervous. Despite having received training from Sarasvi on how to deal with the Nephilim, a simulation never prepares you 100%. The hordes consisted of thousands of these hybrids and, in the heat of combat, I resorted to several runic spells with considerable damage range. There was no rule stating that I had to defend myself only with melee engagements. At least that was the case until a larger one appeared. He seemed to be the leader of this horde, I could see glimpses of intelligence in him. the others seemed insignificant in comparison.

I was forced to engage him at close quarters, and I must admit he was formidable. It nearly tore an arm off me until, in a momentary frenzy, I received a notification from the Espher.
