A normal life, in a fantasy world?

The city of Marshall, always beautiful, it was a morning in Marshall. Several people were out early in the streets, seeking to start the daily work routine of traders, vendors opening their stalls, and adventurers waiting at Guild doors, so that when they opened, everything would start again... "So, this is a normal life in a fantasy world?" asked Morrigan as he walked, stopping at signs to understand addresses, looking to where he should go, knowing how everything would happen. Perhaps it was something to be thought about calmly, as he had to check on the house they would stay in and about his training.

The place where Morrigan would train was known as Field 4; there were a total of 6 fields, based on the levels of importance of the knights of each knight's court. Morrigan was close to the last two fields, symbolizing that he was indeed working for an extremely noble family in Marshal. In search of this place, he asked several questions to common citizens of Marshall until, after almost 2 hours of walking from where he currently was, he unraveled where the place where his training would take place was.

To his surprise, as soon as he arrived, he was called out by a soldier in front of the gate. It was an academy for knights like any other court, however, his was much more distant, elegant, in dark blue and white colors. "Zi'o-san, report for duty... Beautiful day!" He said with a smirk, extending his hand for a handshake. As Morrigan shook it somewhat foolishly, he was pulled towards the soldier's chest, hitting against his armor. "Always stand firm, soldier, you serve the Leomurd now!" Smiling, he finished the handshake, handing him a standardized training outfit and a stable key. "She's called Hasumi, she's a young mare, so take care of her. She's been trained recently," he then asked confusedly, "Wait, what do you mean Hasumi? I get a horse?" He asked, taking all the things from the knight, who nodded, "You'll be late for everything in Runegard if you don't have transportation. Hasumi will help you with that. Remember to get supplies for her when you're living in a fixed place, ask for a stable for horses, okay?" He said while saluting. He was an extremely neat guy, with hair shaped like a letter W, going up and down his head, black, wearing armor that covered his entire chest but left his belly and shoulders exposed. He had some plates on his arms and a metal belt; his name was Johan, the Gatekeeper of Field 4.

"Having said that, welcome to Field 4, Mr. Zi'o. Have a good training day. Normally the knights gather in the resting square, you'll get there if you follow to the right of the stables," he finished explaining, waving his arm to the right several times, smiling. Morrigan then listened to him and decided to go straight there, without looking at who would be his transportation as a knight. It was common for every knight to have transportation, whether by land, water, or sky.

The corridors of the academy were colorful, always with a darker blue as the dominant color, very light grays, some shades of white, and purple in some places, the colors of the court. Gold was only seen on important pieces like adornments of portraits of extremely loyal court members.

As Morrigan passed by the paintings, he saw several important names from Field 4: Jerome Astir, Galvantis Erasmo, Londis Amaste. All these names were knights who were extremely important in times of war, and all had paintings on the wall of the place, in homage to their deeds.

When he least expected it, a hall appeared, round in the shape of a pumpkin, in white and blue, two floors, where some knights were talking upstairs, and there were some bulletin boards on the sides, under the stairs on the left and right. It was like a crossroads of paths to the rest of the academy.

As Zi'o arrived, a tall, imposing figure, about 4 meters tall, approached. Even though he was very tall, he fit well in the place. He wore extremely heavy armor, all bluish and shiny. Despite that, it was normal for the others, for him, it was extremely hostile and somewhat oppressive. "How can someone be this tall and not be considered a threat?" the boy joked with danger, while the big man laughed, approaching. "Never seen a Thorakos by birth in your life? You must be a newbie to everything in Runegard. Some humans are born variants; there's a small possibility that a 17-year-old, when turning 18, becomes a Thorakos boy. Then his height and physical abilities are drastically altered. I myself broke two floors of my house when it happened; I still owe my grandmother until today!" He said laughingly, then following his idea. "My name is Buyon Darankar; I'm a Lieutenant in Field 4 and a cook in my spare time. You must be new here; can I help you?" he then reached out his hand forward; it was so big that he could easily grab a normal human head. "I'm Morrigan Zi'o; I'm a new soldier in Field 4. It's my first day here. Can you help me by telling me what the basic tasks are and how I behave as a knight?" he said trying to understand the basics. When they shook hands, Zi'o seemed to be filled with energy; it was a good person he had just met.

"Well, let's go down to the training then. We haven't done the warm-up yet today. They're called Sharpen, which is when we duel with our swords to sharpen our senses for the rest of the day," as they walked down the hallway to the right of the place, several knights stared at them, some with bad looks. Buyon was an honest and good person, and not all the knights had good intentions.

"As a knight, you must always strive to be polite with civilians; you're like a policeman, and you must treat each case with all possible honesty, even if you see other comrades acting in bad faith. Every day, we have 1 Sharpen warm-up in the morning, and in the afternoon, we train against each other in a disarm duel. At the end of the day, we earn commendations, and every week, we go out in teams to solve problems outside Marshal involving monsters that guilds can't defeat." His explanation, although long, was necessary. Morrigan had listened attentively to all of it, and indeed, it was quite a problem to make mistakes, since as a knight now, those were also his responsibilities.

"During breaks, we can eat at Aunt Juvs' canteen, the most beautiful woman in this place, and between breaks, we have daily physical training.," he finished that explanation with them arriving in a group of other knights, all wearing training clothes, with protections on their arms and bodies. Morrigan's name was then mentioned loudly, "Morrigan!!" it was a familiar voice, Cedric Fontaine, the elegant knight who had helped Zi'o be recommended to the Leomurd.

"You are now part of the force of Field 4, just as I said. We will be able to train and solve problems as a team; it will be great. Unfortunately, the others do not work in the same field, but we will see them soon!" He said, putting his hand on Zi'o's shoulder, who excitedly seemed to then take a deep breath, "Right, where do we...," his speech was interrupted by a direct attack against him, an axe covered in a dark green aura hit against Zi'o's scabbard, fortunately, he had managed to protect himself... "Who is this boy? And why is he using a blade with a spirit in this division?"

It was a figure with a cold look, long blond hair, but tied on the sides falling to the sides of his head, wearing armor that protected more on the left side of the body, where his axe was being held. Left-handed, he pressed the elegant axe against the scabbard of the sword, sparking a few times... "Other newcomers would have fallen with this attack. Who is this?" he asked again, while Buyon pushed him away smiling, "This attitude is not necessary, Dante. You may end up hurting a fellow!" he said, putting his gigantic size away from Dante, who grumbled still holding the axe.

"My name is Morrigan Zi'o; I'm a new soldier in Field 4. Do you like to attack newcomers as a welcome or was this personal?" Zi'o's sentence made Dante's figure advance against him again, but Cedric pulled out his saber and placed it in front of him, saying loudly, "Enough; let's leave the intrigues for the Disarm duel."

There were some people in the place with comments like "So this is Zi'o?" "The boy who uses Aura perfectly?" "He's going to fight Dante; he'll be easily destroyed!" Many of these comments came from other knights in the corner. The place was open-air, like a combat arena with some parts with obstacles and some circuits for running exercises. "This will be the first name I want to see in today's Disarm, for a newcomer, you'll have to face me!" Dante put the axe in his direction, and then turned his back, walking towards some others who were waiting for him in the distance, possibly his companions. "So now I have rivals? This could be interesting!" Thought Zi'o; it was his first day, and things weren't favorable, but that wouldn't take him out of himself; he was excited!

Hope you like it ! always trying to mix good Shounen with Romance, a Frankenstein of emotions! This is Runegard!
