1 IDFYL 1 : About Nadira

One cup of sweet milk she had brought from the kitchen after making her own. A thick, soft towel now bandaged her neck and back. Her straight, black hair fell free on top of the towel she had spilt on her back. Her hair was wet this afternoon. Yes. She just shampooed her hair this afternoon.

She wants to forget all about tiring and wants to relax with her coffee milk, plus a novel she's reading this month. This girl really likes quiet things. She also likes rain, and it just so happens to be raining this afternoon. Sitting on the sofa in her window room and enjoying her hobbies was her favorite thing. Especially if everyone at home is out. Nadira likes to be alone at home.

Her name is Nadira Aisyah. Called Dira. Nadira is the youngest of two children. Mr. Pradipta's favorite daughter and Mrs. Meisya. While the number of names that Dira has is called Pradipta, while Dira doesn't like to use the family name, just only Nadira Aisyah.

Hold on, while Dira was playing with Narendra Pradipta when the man returned home. "Toys" in the sense of being casual or making Nadira angry and sulk. Rendra is Dira's older brother.

While breathing slowly, she began to feel bored after reading her novel several pages. Half a cup of milk left. Dira feels lazy to finish it, her stomach is bored with milk coffee.

Then the girl got up and put the leftover milk in the kitchen sink and went back to her room. No one's home this afternoon. Her mother accompanied her father to go meet relatives. While her brother went out with her friends, it was Saturday afternoon. Dira was wondering why people didn't leave when it was raining.

She picked up a black flat on the small table near her bed. That's her phone. No interesting notification other than her colleagues are abuzz with chatter.

Chatter group was huge. There's a high school alumni group until her college grad. Nadira has just graduated from college who is studying management. Dira did not take one scholar as much as most of her friends, she chose only the triple diploma. If asked why, Dira would reply "it would be a long time to study. I don't need to study long anyway." Well, that's Dira. If Dira had wished for something, that had to be accomplished.

Dira freezing her tongue slow, her hair is drying it off with a hair dryer now. Other than being bored, Dira feels that being lonely is all that is left. What does she do after drying her hair? All television programs are not all that Dira likes. Dira is bored of reading novels. Dira wants to get out too, but where and with whom?

Suddenly it rings, suggests someone's calling her. The contact's name on the screen is named Dela. Dela is one of Nadira college students. Dela also studied with Nadira.

"Good afternoon Dela.."

"Good afternoon too Ra.. Are you home yet?"

"Yes, I'm at home. Why Del?"

"Are you busy with something?"

"No. I'm so tired of being in the room. My family went out."

"Woah, that fits you. Go with me. Come eat at the cafe with me."

"Dela, it's pouring now. You know I can't drive a car. I don't like ordering cabs. Hehehe.."

"Leave it to me, it's easy.. I'll pick you up. Wait for me in half an hour, then I'll go to your house. Okay?"

"Well if you force me Dela.."

Tuuuuttt! Dira's phone line was disconnected instantly. The girl was more cheerful than ever because someone had invited her out for a change of scenery. Though not a man asked her out.

Dira was wearing plain clothes this afternoon. Blue jeans were paired with an innocent pink sleeveless shirt with a 'beautiful' in the middle. Not forgetting she was wearing a simple cream-colored blezer. Her straight hair was wavy.

The girl put on a little powder puff and applied some lipstick to her lips. It looks so natural. While Dira sometimes gets a little upset when we look in the mirror, why doesn't she have bangs? But once she tried to play the bangs, and the result was bad because she stayed to the side and wouldn't stay in the middle. Very upset indeed. But she became all she was, this was her.

Not forgetting she sprays her favorite perfume and wears her watch. She also carried a small brown bag containing only her cell phone and wallet. Afterward she was wearing flats shoes made of beige bludru with her blezere. Then Dira looked in the mirror. When she was perfect, she hurried out of the house and closed the main door.

The girl sat for a while on the terrace that was provided with two guest chairs and a table. Dira contacted in her purse and pulled out her phone. There was a message notification from Dela that said that fifteen minutes later it would reach her home.

After that, Dira went after her mother's contact and called the forty-year-old woman.

"Yes, dear what's wrong? Mom and dad will be home by seven tonight." It's meisya. Her voice was soft.

Dira smiled for a moment. "Yes, ma'am, it's okay. I just want to ask permission to go out with Dela."

"Get out where? What time do you get home? No funny stuff. It's afternoon."

Dira sighing slowly. Her mother just started worrying and possessive.

"I'm going to the cafe for a moment, mom.. I went out with dela."

"Ah, I see. Dela went to the house, huh? Then it's okay, go. You ride what?"

"Dela picked me up from home. Soon she'll be there."

"Well, mom said yes. What time are you coming home?"

"At seven o 'clock. I'll come home when mom and dad are home."

"Okay mom let.."

"Okay. Thank you, mom.

"Yes, dear.. See you.."

Dira smiled relieved. Not long after that Dela honked her car that was already in front of Nadira's house.

They shook hands and hugged for a long time.

"Oh my.. I'm so pissed off that I've only been home two weeks. I can finally see you again." She blurted with a frown on her face.

Dira chuckles softly. "Me too. I still don't know where I'm going to work. My parents forced me to go to grad school. But I still want to get to work. I'm not strong for learning."

"Yes. My parents do, too. But isn't your father the director of a company?"

"Yes, it is.. But I don't want to depend on my parents' connections. I want to find my own job."

"I couldn't find a job reference anywhere else." Said Dela.

"This is Jakarta, Dela.. It's not easy to find a job without an inside job. That's the way it is these days."

"Yes, you're right. All right, where are we headed?"

"Just going to the mall. There's lots of cafes and places to eat. I like to relieve the boredom."

"Okay."

"I'm home..!"

Dira returned home at exactly seven o 'clock in the evening. She disinherited both her parents' hands, enjoying television.

"Where's Dela?" Tanya meisya.

"Dela went straight home. She was on the phone with her mother on the way home." Said dira honestly.

Pradipta smiled. "So you go to your room. Wash your face and feet. After that, sit here with mom and dad. We want to have a serious talk."

Seeing that, Dira could only reply 'yes' if her father had given the order.

Soon while Dira came and sat on the sofa single in front of her parents. Rendra is also beside her because he has come after a long absence.

"What do you want to talk about?" Asked dira.

"Want to discuss your future ra.." firmly answered from Dipta. "Now I want to give you a choice. Continue your studies or go to admin in the management and business administration in the general division of uncle Brahma's company. How?" Ask dipta.

Everything was quiet and quiet. Meisya is looking straight at Dira. So is Rendra who has become still in this atmosphere.

"I'm in no hurry. And yet you're not as good at home as you are now, dira. You're young. Twenty-one years old. Do you like being home and hanging out when dela asks you? It's not always that way, is it?" Dipta's words are really serious.

Dira only shook her head slowly in reply. She swallowed her troublesome saliva.

"Yes, I think so, sister. Why don't you want to go to college? Remember, there are still many out there who want to be as advanced educated as we are. You were the one who got the chance and didn't want it." Said Rendra. Rendra has even scolded nadira. And Dira was all annoyed with him.

"Yes, dear.. We're not angry. We're only suggesting what's best for you. Going to college is better than working in your uncle's company. If you choose a job, your parents will be happy to find you a job that will fit you. In uncle brahma's company. You're the one who didn't want to work for dad's company, and Rendra is the intern there. That was mom and dad's suggestion." Said Meisya.

Dira has become sullen and has all the angles.

"Why are you silent? What choice of me to be a burden? Aren't you the one who wanted to get a job sooner than go to college?" Ask Dipta. That question made Dira bite off her inner lip.

Everything goes back to quiet. And while Dira has to fight against her own mind. It felt like there was something so heavy on her mind.

"Emm... Dad, can I have a second to think about this?" Asked Dira.

Dipta nodded, "give me an answer Thursday. Because if you do choose to work, we'll meet uncle Brahma on Friday afternoon."

Hearing the words of Dipta, it made Dira indecisive.

"All right, dad,"
