Virtual World

"Your name is... Shiro, right?"

"Yeah, you are..."

"Miya."

"Oh yes, Miya. Nice to meet you."

I stretched my hand.

"Nice to meet you too." She smiled and shook my hand. Her hands were soft. Too soft.

"You are an interesting guy." She commented.

"And you are beautiful."

"I am not that beautiful." her cheeks reddened a bit.

"Oh, don't be like that. You are cute and beautiful." I complimented her looks.

"Thanks..." She accepted my compliment and smiled slightly.

After chatting for a bit, the bell rang. We walked to the classroom together. I part away with her and sat at my desk.

A young man entered the classroom. He had a bright smile and introduced himself as 'Flaming Guy" as his superpower was related to fire.

After a brief introduction, he led us to another room.

It was a spacious room, with us being in a small room and below was a huge one. We were like in a tower filled with strange control panels.

"This is a room where we put your power to the real test, see how will you react, and something like that."

The teacher gave us a bit of info.

One student raised his hand and asked. "And sir, how would you do that?"

"We will launch a virtual world, it would turn this place into a different one, but it is only an illusion. You will get a task, and we will see how well you do. You get graded according to your performance. Any questions?"

After a bit of silence, the teacher nodded.

"Ok, now I will call your names, go down."

"Yes sir!"

Everyone nodded.

"First one, Jack."

As Jack was called, a muscular young man stepped forward. He took the elevator and reached down.

As he reached, the white room flashed.

The buildings that looked tall appeared. Citizens were walking here and there aimlessly like how NPCs move in games.

A holographic was displayed above his head.

[Protect Citizen from Supervillain. Keep the destruction minimal]

The moment the screen disappeared, one shadow flashed.

A man wearing a black outfit with his body up to his face covered appeared. Its red eyes scanned the surrounding.

He raised his hand and water poured down. The beach was just behind the assassin-like-looking guy. The water from the ocean hovered around that guy's hand like it was his slave.

Jack stared at the guy and smirked.

Jack's real power was his strength, he had super strength that could destroy a building with one punch. It may sound powerful but it wasn't that good. It was only ranked C.

Jack jumped and landed in front of the assassin.

The assassin glanced at jack and swiped down his hands. The water hovering around him was fired at Jack at an incredible speed.

The water moved in a straight line and hit Jack. Jack also formed a fist and punched the water.

He thought he could punch the water and splatter it. But he was a musclehead with strength but no brain.

As the water was splattered by his punch again fly and accumulated behind Jack. Before Jack could react, the water hit his back.

The force was powerful as he groaned painfully and again suffered a hit from the front. The force coming from both sides hit him mercilessly. He fell to the ground and couldn't stand.

[Jack - Failed]

As the screen hovered, the buildings disappeared and again the white room flashed. The citizens that were walking also disappeared.

Only the assassin didn't disappear. He carried Jack to the elevator and left the room.

When students saw that, they were extremely nervous. They also became scared, what if they suffered the same fate as Jack.

However, to their worriers, the teacher still called the students and all of them went one by one.

Others weren't that eventful, some got the same quest as Jack, some got to disarm the bomb while some go to rescue a hostage. Some got to fight with powerful villains while some got to support the citizens.

Only 5 students were left.

"Miya"

This time, it was Miya's turn. Every student was excited to see her quest as she was one of the superheroes with an A rank power.

A rankers were rare, S rankers were even rare.

There was only one SSS-rank superhero, ten SS-rank, twenty-five s-rank, hundred A-rank, and so on.

As Miya stepped into the white room, the white room turned into a destroyed city. Water covered the vicinity and all the building were flooded.

People were screaming, some drowned, some barely swam and some held on to the piece of the wood.

[Save citizens. Also, fend off against Supervillians]

It was a hard quest.

Not that easy, since she was psychokinesis. It would be easy for her to save the people, but there were still supervillains. Their rank and power were still unknown.

As the Miya got ready, three assains covering their face appeared standing on top of a building.
