3 Chapter 2: Totsuki Culinary Academy!

Raymond felt his whole being engulfed in peace as if he were floating in nothingness.

"...Where am I?"

Everything was darkness, yet he didn't feel repulsed by it. It was as if everything was natural, which somehow comforted him.

However...

A bright light suddenly enveloped him, causing his vision to turn completely white.

"Wha...?"

Before long, the whiteness slowly dissipated, and he found himself floating amidst clouds, with a light golden blue sky stretching across the horizon.

All he could see was the vast expanse of the sky itself.

"Is... this heaven?"

Raymond couldn't help but think so, as he was quite sure hell wouldn't look quite like this.

He shook his head, thinking he definitely didn't deserve to be in heaven considering his deeds as an assassin back when he lived.

His hands were stained with blood, a sin he himself was aware should not be forgiven.

However, just as he was about to look around, his eyes were suddenly filled with shock as he felt his heartbeats stop at the sight in front of him.

A being emerged right before his very eyes...

...its sheer size was completely unreal, making him feel insignificant in its presence. He could see that the being seemed to have four faces...

...human, lion, ox, and eagle...

"...!"

They had four wings, with two wrapped around them and two stretching out.

He noticed they had hands like humans under their wings and feet that looked like shiny bronze.

The entire being seemed to be enveloped in a bright light, as if it covered their divine beauty...

...the being felt so divine that he felt a loss of control over his emotions, aside from awe and fear.

"A...are... y-you... an angel?"

Raymond muttered those words as tears unconsciously streamed down his face, gazing at the being that had suddenly appeared before him.

It was like an elephant standing in front of an ant, his whole vision barely able to encompass the entirety of the being.

"..."

Raymond suddenly felt as though the being was beckoning him, as light emerged from it, enveloping him...

GASP!

"Urgh... My head..."

...He suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head as he shot his eyes open.

However...

Instead of the sky he had seen before, all he saw was a small room with all of its contents seemingly destroyed.

It resembled nothing more than a shipwreck.

"...Urghh, what the hell!"

The headache suddenly intensified as he held his head in pain, groaning loudly as strange memories flooded his mind—memories that didn't belong to him.

No...

They were the memories of this body.

"I've actually been transmigrated?"

He muttered as he slowly moved his sluggish body over to a mirror shattered on the side of the room.

In the reflection, he saw a dark-haired teenager, seemingly Japanese, with eyes widened in shock.

"...Tsunayoshi Ito..."

Raymo— No, Tsuna muttered, finally understanding the identity of the body he had transmigrated into. He turned his head around and saw a bottle of rat poison that the former Tsuna had consumed to kill himself.

"..."

He sighed as he organized his memories to understand what was going on, feeling a mix of confusion and resignation.

Tsuna had killed himself, that much was clear, and now somehow he had been transferred over to this body.

"...Is this what people call a second chance?"

He murmured to himself as he sat on the side of the bed, his hand covering his face in contemplation.

In his entire life, he had mostly just done his job: killing people. Yet, he always felt empty, which was why he decided to stop and find something that could fill his soul.

That's when he found Cooking!

Unfortunately, the people he associated with couldn't leave him alone.

They kept trying to get him back to work. When they realized their offers didn't budge him in the slightest, they resorted to violence and tried to eliminate him.

This prompted him, who had sworn to not shed another drop of blood, to be hunted. It made him travel the world since it was the only way for him to keep moving.

However...

That helped him get better at cooking as he traveled the world, trying all sorts of cuisine and learning how they were made in every corner of the world.

Still, he had grown tired of traveling around since there was no place in the world he had never been to. That was why he decided it was time for him to stop running away and confront those motherfuckrs head-on.

"...I hope these fuckers truly wasn't here."

Thankfully, after sorting his memories, it seemed like this world was completely different from his past life.

However, he kept in mind that he needed to make sure those individuals who had driven him to death weren't in this world.

"Let's eat something first, or else I might die a second time..." he muttered as he slowly made his way.

Thankfully, the poison seemed to have waned, so all he needed to do was replenish the energy he had lost by eating some good food.

After that, it had been a few days since then, and Tsuna finally was able to recover.

"...What a fool," Tsuna sighed once again as he recalled his sorted memories in his head.

It turned out that the former Tsuna took his own life because of an incident that took his mother's life a while ago.

They lived far away from each other.

Tsuna was living in their house in Tokyo, and his mother was in a business trip in the countryside.

Tsuna was an awkward kid who was unable to express his love for his mother except by acting cheeky and annoying to get her attention.

His love was immense, but he just didn't know how to express it.

"It's not your fault... It was just unfortunate..."

Tsuna shook his head at the unfortunate car accident that took his mother's life a while back. It was the former Tsuna throwing tantrums at his mother, 'ordering' her to come home and cook for him.

"...He just wanted to see his mother since it had been a while since they had dinner together."

However...

Fate decided to claim his mother's life in an unfortunate car crash when she was on her way to his place.

The former Tsuna immediately blamed himself after the cops came and broke it down to him that the accident had claimed his mother's life.

After getting depressed for the whole week, he then decided that he'd rather end his life to meet his mother in the afterlife and apologize.

He didn't know much about the father since there wasn't a single memory of the guy in his mind.

So it was safe to assume the guy either died or went out to buy milk and never came back.

"..."

Tsuna looked at his mother's grave as he spoke, "I might not have known you personally, but I'm technically your son, your blood. So let me honor your wish. I'll be a healthy, strong, and capable man so you can rest assured in heaven..."

"...I will also honor your son's dream."

Tsuna was holding a piece of paper, an invitation for him to take a transfer entrance exam at a famous culinary academy in the world.

"...And enroll myself in Totsuki Culinary Academy!"
