In My Arms

Xander's kiss totally caught Katherine off guard, but she quickly composed herself and couldn't help but respond to him.

He kissed his wife like a starved beast, his kisses became fierce and passionate, he kissed her hard and Katherine couldn't stop herself from moaning.

Their breathing quickened and soon fireworks began to explode, Xander's intense kisses were making Katherine go crazy. 

After sucking up all of the air from Katherine, Xander decided to give her some time to breathe.

Katherine was a panting mess, she felt butterflies in her stomach and her face was redder than a ripen tomato, her eyes dilated and her mouth was still slightly parted as she continued to heavily inhale the air.

Xander clenched his jaw at the sight of her, it was taking everything in his will power to not drag her to bed and make love to her right there and then.

It took them a few minutes to compose themselves, seeing Katherine's swollen and bright red lips and the marks he left on her neck, Xander smirked in satisfaction before he inched closer to her again and Katherine's heart hitched, she thought they were going to do another makeout session again but Xander went to the side of face and whispered seductively in her left ear "Congratulations on our marriage my sweet wife." and then just like that, he was gone.

Her gaze followed Xander as he walked to the left side of the bed, lied down and closed his eyes indicating that he had gone to sleep as if nothing had happened.

Two minutes later, she snapped out of her daze and also went to the right side of the bed and lied down, Katherine made sure that there was a big pillow in between them.

She was still thinking about what happened just a few minutes ago, she couldn't believe her own body would betray her by turning weak every time Xander kissed her, she blushed hard when she remembered Xander's warm tongue in her mouth, seeing how her thoughts were becoming naughty she quickly closed her eyes and draped the quilt over her shoulders. The couple slowly drifted to sleep after a few minutes of pretending to be asleep.

Xander was peacefully sleeping when he was awoken by Katherine's screams, he immediately shot out of bed ready to slaughter whoever it is that dared to get close to his woman only to realize that she was having a nightmare, he removed the pillow that was in between them and grabbed her shoulder which startled her even more.

"N-no, please stop it, it huts like hell... Please I beg you to stop hurting me, please.. No don't touch me, don't come closer, no no no, not the fire NO AHHHHHHH!!" Katherine begged in her dreams.

She thought Xander was going to hurt her so she struggled to free herself from him when he tried to hug her, seeing this made Xander grit his teeth so damn hard, he never wanted to torture and kill people this bad, he wanted nothing right now but to find the people that hurt Katherine and tear their limbs apart, he wanted to torture them in such a cruel way that they would beg for him to kill them.

"Katherine wake up, it's me, it's Xander, you are safe now, I'm here my love and I won't allow anybody to hurt you again" Xander said as he shook Katherine to wake her up and it worked because her eyes flew open when Xander shook her and she heard everything he said, her body was shaking and after a few minutes she finally fully regained her senses. She looked at xander who was still holding her shoulders while intently staring back at her and said:

"I-i'm fine now, I always h-have these n-nightmares it's nothing n-new. You should go back to sleep and I will just shower and go to my study to get some more work done, this has always been my routine so you don't have to worry about me" her body was still slightly shaking and her breathing was shallowed when she weakly said that to Xander, however the man on the other hand was not ready to let her go.

Xander pulled Katherine into his arms and hugged her tight while his other hand was softly patting her back. "I'm sorry for taking so long to find you, I promise you that all those that harm you will beg for death after being ruthlessly tortured by me, I am here now Katherine and I will take care of you, I will slaughter anyone that dared to even attempt hunting you." Xander gently but firmly said to Katherine as he continued to pat her back.

Katherine's heart was moved by Xander's reassuring and comforting words, she had been having these nightmares since before she was able to escape BEPBU, they were not just dreams or nightmares but they were a memory of what they did to her.

She remembered always waking up alone with no one to offer her comfort and at the end she would just abandon the sleep and bury herself with work, but now Xander's words were able to comfort her and the way he was embracing her and patting her back she felt like she was being lulled back to sleep.

And true to her thoughts, Katherine fell asleep a few minutes later, Xander was relieved to see her back to sleep, it was just two in the morning and he couldn't believe that she had been waking up and working after having a nightmare because she was afraid of go back to sleep and experience any more nightmares. He clenched his jaw, now that he was here he would not allow her to neglect herself, he would personally take care of her and after every nightmare that she experiences he would be there to comfort her, embrace her and lull her back to sleep.

After making sure she was deep asleep Xander gently lied her down but he didn't let her go out of his embrace, he continued to hold her while she comfortably nuzzled her head in the crook of his neck and he could hear her stable breathing. Xander's arms became numb but he continued to hug her and pat her head softly until he also fell asleep.

The next morning, Katherine woke up in Xander's arms and she was shocked that he was able to lull her back to sleep and she slept comfortably in his arms, she could not remember when last she had slept this peacefully for so long. She was truly grateful that Xander was there for her.

She gently tried to get out of his arms but no matter how gentle she was Xander woke up because he was a very light sleeper. When he opened his eyes and their gazes locked, his heart thumped in his chest, he could feel his heart swell with happiness knowing the fact that Katherine slept in his arms and now they woke up together with her still in his embrace.

His lips curved up in a naughty smile and he said "Good Morning Mrs Ling, I believe you had a good time sleeping in my arms"

Katherine blushed and lowered her gaze, she cleared her throat and said "tch, you were the one holding me in place if not I would have gotten away because of the uncomfortable sleeping position. Now that you are up, let me go I have so much work to do."

"Uncomfortable is it? Hmm, would you have preferred it if I was on top of you instead?" Xander teased and Katherine couldn't be redder than she already was right now.

"let me go you shameless pervert" Katherine said while blushing hard which Xander found so cute.

Xander chuckled and let her go, they both got up and Katherine said "I will go and get ready, seeing that it's already eight in the morning aunt Rosa must have already prepared our breakfast, I will meet you downstairs."

Katherine said and then turned around and started walking toward the bathroom, she was about to enter when she felt Xander following her so she stopped and turned around.

"W-why are you following me?" Katherine asked.

"I was hoping we could bath together, I promise to help you wash your back, I can even give you a full body massage in the process if you allow me." Xander shamelessly uttered while staring deep into Katherine's eyes.
