elma got the bath ready and i asked her to bring some cookies so i can enjoy it with the tea and then she left

'i think it's about time that i test my powers but i dont think i can control it yet. i have to figure out if they're still the same powers as it was mentioned in the book or not.

oh i haven't explain the concept of these powers yet. well, i do apologize for my rudeness

powers in this world are divided into two major groups ;life group and death group, each group has 5 different types of mana. the person who uses their mana will always have a couple of changes in his body. the colour of their eye will change accordingly to whatever group he belong to. It's white if he's in the life group and black if he's in the death group. all the mana holders have to keep their eyes open till they change color or they won't be able to control the body otherwise. The life group's mana is mostly used in daily life mundane, while the death group's is used mostly in wars. death group mana holders usually tend to faint after using their mana because it requires a lot of energy. every power has it's own colour and it appears on the user's neck. mana holders will eventually be able to hide their spot so they won't be exposed to people.all the mana holders have to completely use their power so their bodies don't get completely destroyed as the mana controls the person fully by his own permission. the death group was named that because the person has to harm himself in order to invigorate his mana. only few powers got special cases. only the death mana holders can heal by themselves without any intervention. all the death mana holder have to break a bone in order to let the mana control them, they mostly break their finger but if you already got broken a bone then you can let the mana control you.

The 1st power which is the weakest one among the death group is called (time killer)

time killers are the fastest one amongst the two groups and it's the only power that can defeat the sound eater. they are mostly used to detect the sound eaters during wars, and to kill in silence they are the only mana holders that doesn't need to invigorate their power they are the only ones that can control and use it whenever they want. they mostly direct their mana towards their feet or hands to move rapidly and kill in silence, assassin's basically.

2nd (the sound eater)

sound eaters invigorate their power by hearing 5 strikes of certain swords at once. all of the sound eaters are trained to react to certain types of sword strikes so they don't get agitated by any sounds turning them into maniacs. they let the mana control their bodies after breaking their fingers, and they use it to detect the sounds of breathing, heart beating or even the blinking of eyes. It helps them catch people who are hiding. their special power is that they can paralyze all of the soldiers in the battlefield by making a small cut in their broken finger and letting the blood drip to the ground. if the Blood drops don't touch the ground then they won't be able to cause their paralysis, even sound eaters themselves get paralyzed but they are the only ones that can hear the finest sounds for miles searching for their preys. they are the only ones who need to close their eyes while using their powers in order to focus. they can be defeated by time killers as they can't focus their hearing to detect their movements because of their high speeds, but the time killer could be caught if he touched the sound eaters Blood drop. And it's a trap mostly used by these sound eaters

3rd (the manipulator) manipulators are mainly useful in short distance fights, since physical contact should occur in order to invigorate their mana. Something like a punch or a kick as only human contact can activate powers. they can predict the opponents moves and use it against them. their brain allows them to predict 0.5 seconds of what will happen and prepare their muscles for a way to defend it. they can also memories the opponent's moves and paterns and can use it against that person

4th the pace matcher

the pace matchers are the only mana holders who can increase their mana to matche their opponent's mana. These pace matchers can match everyone's mana. they can even be stronger by adding their own power to the mana that is used which makes them stronger. they are invigorated by the force that is caused by the sword's strikes

5th the blood sucker

they are the strongest among all the death mana holders. they are the only mana holders who can't control their own mana. they are invigorated by the sight of blood, they turn into crazy, blood thirsty beasts who want to obliterate their opponents. surprisingly they can only be controlled by other blood suckers or by a mana holder from the life group called the tranquilizer. they are the only mana holders whose eyes change to red if they taste blood and at that rate they will turn into blind beasts who want nothing but bloodshed. They are also controlled by blood. they tend to give drops of blood to the people they trust most. which makes an unbreakable bond between the two partners causing the blood sucker to surrender to that partner.

black for blood sucker

plum for time killer

navy for sound eater

crimsom for the manipulator

rasin for the pace matcher

now about the life group they also have 5 mana holders. in order to awaken their mana they have to take 3 long deep breaths. You'll know that you successfully invigorated your mana if the last breath was as cold as ice, but if you already took 3 breathes and the temperature of air didn't change then you shouldn't take any more deep breath or you will start coughing up blood. it is a sign that your body is still unwilling to let the mana diffuse within it.

1st the truth holder

it's the weakest but the most genius one among the two groups, their mana helps them to understand plants and yes plants can talk to them but they can't talk to plants. they can also detect the direction of anything moving by listening to the plants. they are mostly used in investigations and in detecting any thieves. they invigorate their mana by resting their hands on any plant. they are also so clever that no one can defeat their prediction mostly these mana holders are rare and not easily found, they can notice the small unnoticeable changes and make a trustworthy conclusions out of it and they can always think few steps ahead.

2nd the reader

they direct their mana into their eyes and it lets them understand any ancient or foreign language. they can't read nor write it but they can understand it as the mana in their eyes enables them to translate the letters and words into their mother tongue. they can also read the people's intentions by observing the darkness of their heart. The lighter the colour the purer the intentions. they invigorate their mana by putting their head under the water and opening their eyes as widely as they can.

3rd the extender

the extenders are the only mana holders that can match their mana to all other mana holders from both groups. they are used to give their mana to those people who lost a great amount of mana and are on the verge of death, but in exchange they take their dead mana and revive it inside them which causes them to be weak and vulnerable. they invigorate their mana by the sight of tears.

4th the healer

the healers are mostly used in infirmaries as their tears are used to cure people from specific illnesses. once they invigorate their mana their body will lose all of its fluids in order to make these blessed tears, then they faint 😃. the tears are then collected in jars and kept safely in these infirmaries. they get their conscious back after being treated. they invigorate their power by the sound of crying.

5th the tranquilizer

the tranquilizers are the strongest mana holders in the life group, they invigorate their mana by looking into people's eyes, when they Make eye contact they direct their mana towards their mouth. the closer and deeper you look into their eyes the more you get brainwashed by their sweet talk. they can control the blood suckers by their sugar coated words and make them surrender to their words. they can play by everyone's and anyone's minds and thoughts. their weak point is that they can't use their mana for longer than 5 minutes. if they exceed that limit, their bodies will start gaining its conscious and will force the mana to stop flowing to the mouth causing internal bleeding.

aqua for the tranquilizer

the breeding process is easy to understand. i listed the manas from the weakest to the strongest. if one parent had the weakest and the other had the strongest then the child will get the stronger more dominant mana, but this isn't always the case. They can get a completely different mana type.

yet if the two parents have the same ranks of the mana then the child will have both manas but they won't be born naturally with one, the two manas neutralize each other whether its from both of the groups or of one group only. if the child has both manas of the two group they can choose which mana to awaken but most of the time it doesn't succeed as they weren't blessed with a body that could manage having that mana within it. but yes it is possible to awaken the mana by doing special exercises and acknowledging that your body will be suffocated and destroyed in the process they are called neutralizers. but if 2 neutralizers got married then the child won't have any mana
