6 Cliché Tripping Scene

Yeah, no.

Sure, this might be a good thing, a sign.

Chitoge has a mafia family. If only Raku Ichijou didn't exist, or at least they existed but were affected by this odd world, I might have a chance to use their abilities to do something about Hikaru Kamiki.

[I could change Hoshino instead, but that doesn't sound like an easy task.]

If this were a Visual Novel Dating Game, I have at least 6 routes available, 3 of which are likely to have been unlocked while the remaining 3 are still unclear.

[—no, wait. Why should I care about the others?]

I changed Hoshino's Diary because I didn't want her fate to be like the original. For Mahiru and Mafuyu-sensei, other than to close our distance as a mere light connection, let's see, I want to get something from them in exchange for that? [Do I want a girlfriend?] I won't deny that, but as the main goal? I doubt it.

My purpose in moving to the city was partly because a number of my colleagues at the orphanage were doing the same. They were either looking for higher goals, more advanced fields, or simply curious. I wanted to be a writer. That's the end goal. The school I went to happened to have a decent institution to improve me as a writer.

I barely thought about romance since I never expected anything from one. I wanted to establish more connections when I got here, sure, but romance wasn't something I specifically desired. [So why...?]

I have no particular reason to accumulate ladies with those weird diaries, and yet I can't seem to let go of the desire to do so as much as possible.

(...)

I sighed, laying myself down on the bed. "Honestly, why can't I ever be clear...?"

"I think this is already fine," Mahiru commented.

Noon had come, and the two of us were now in the hallway of the second floor. The clean plate given to me had been washed, which I received with gratitude.

Mahiru continued in a serious expression. "Your usage of ingredients is more than adequate. Perhaps only their selection isn't perfect. Some things were missing. They could be further improved."

"I'll keep that in mind, then," I replied.

I only ate what I was given back in the village without much thoughts. Their food couldn't be considered varied, though it wasn't repetitive either, but anyway, I didn't have much time to learn all the recipes before being sent to the city.

"I just remembered, Yoshikawa-kun," Mahiru said. "Where did you buy that cake?"

"The one I bought? Wait a sec," I pulled out my cell phone. "You don't mind exchanging lines?"

She looked a little surprised. "Sure."

We did that quickly. Afterward, I sent the link to where the place was located to Mahiru.

"The path would be a headache if explained in plain words. This'll be easier."

Mahiru smiled. "Thank you."

"Think nothing of it."

"—eek?!"

"Huh?"

"?"

Mahiru and I both turned to the door next to us simultaneously. [—Mafuyu-sensei? That was her scream, wasn't it?]

She sounded as though she had just fallen off something. Given her story in Canon, she probably slipped on the messy items spread all over the floor. She was a messy woman, after all.

I rushed to her door, which opened at an inopportune moment.

"Wha?!"

"Oof!"

Mafuyu-sensei bumped into me. I wouldn't have completely fallen backward had it not been for Mahiru who happened to be there as well. "Hnh?!"

The hallway wasn't very narrow, lucky for us. We're not at risk of falling to the first floor. Still, "I" was unlucky.

The back of my body fell against Mahiru's ample cleavage. I could feel her medium size sandwiched between my head. Her legs pinched my bottom as she fell. My hands intended to land on the floor to stop my fall but instead found themselves on Mahiru's silky thighs. "Hnh~!" Mahiru let out a cute moaning voice.

Mafuyu-sensei, on the other hand, pressed her face, chest, thighs, and anything else you could expect from the front of her body onto mine. To make matters worse, perhaps out of fear of God knows what, Mafuyu-sensei proceeded to hug my head, sinking my face into her twin mountains that were clearly bigger than Mahiru's. For the record, I didn't plan this at all.

"C-C-Cockroach! Flying cockroach...!"

"...I'll do something with it, so please—"

My words were cut off by Mafuyu-sensei and Mahiru's shrieks. Mahiru was more reserved than the hysterical Mafuyu-sensei, though.

The flying cockroach went towards us. That must be why. [—I can't see shit. How should I do something about it when they practically squashed me from both sides?]

Mahiru reflexively seemed to use me as a shield from preventing the cockroach to land on her, but Mafuyu-sensei was the same. Since my flanks would be too narrow, making it naturally inefficient to be used as a shield, they pulled me into their respective favorable positions by sacrificing the front or back side of me to the cockroach's attack.

[...Yeah, whatever.] I gave up.

I'll let them do whatever they want. Scream all their guts out. Hug me as tight as they can. Whatever.

[It feels nice, anyway.]

"I'm sorry..." "I'm sorry..."

Both of them bowed to me with apologetic voices.

I wrinkled my face somewhat deeply. "Sure, I accept. Well, other than the torn clothes, there's no major damage from me. Don't worry much about it."

They only bowed more deeply when I mentioned that.

The cockroach had drifted somewhere by the time I had been finally released from their grasp.

[Good thing no one else saw that happen...] My luck wasn't as bad as the cliche Japanese MC, though I'm Japanese myself, so I can't say that.

They finished with their apology session after a while. They still looked guilty. Considering what they had done to me, I guess it was entirely natural.

"Your room is such a mess, though," I turned the topic to Mafuyu-sensei instead. "I was worried about what happened when you were heard falling earlier. With such a messy room, no wonder it happened."

Mafuyu-sensei impressively maintained the scowl on her face during this entire time. Even so, she could not resist the faint blushing on her cheeks. "I-I'm a busy woman. I don't have time to clean the room."

[That sounds familiar...]

Mahiru eyed that with slight distaste. If it was a normal person who was given that look, they would definitely go into meltdown. Mafuyu-sensei didn't notice that.

I carried on. "To be honest, Sensei, you look more like an unemployed than a worker right now."

"That's rude—"

"—but true," Mahiru interrupted. "And Sensei? Don't tell me you're a teacher at Chikura High School?"

"Why are you giving me that look? It's rude, you realize?"

"...I'm sorry if it came out that way. I just can't help myself when I see people untidy."

"I told you I'm a busy person."

"You're working right now?"

"..."

"I'll help clean your room, Mafuyu-sensei," I interrupted them. "You can leave, Mahiru-san. Me and Mafuyu-sensei should be enough. You can help, of course."

"...Alright."

"...I accept."

Mahiru left silently, though seemingly grumpy as she did. Mafuyu-san turned her head away in shame.

I smiled dryly. "Well, let's get into it. After I change clothes, that is."
